Chapter 133 – Darkmtl

Chapter 133

Chapter 133 Is It Really That Easy to Bully Me?

Unfortunately, this encounter did not last long.

It was interrupted by a figure crashing down from the sky, accompanied by a scream: “Ahhhhhh——!!!”

The plump figure suddenly smashed onto a shelf, causing all the goods to scatter everywhere and providing some cushion for his fall, so he didn’t end up too badly on the ground.

But just as he went thud onto the floor, he quickly scrambled up and started rummaging through nearby boxes, hastily clutching a bone and tucking it close like a treasure: “That scared the life out of me! I thought I lost it.”

Then he looked up and met the gazes of two people staring at him.

Xia Xinyan was still gripping Ling Mo’s collar, but had quickly let go, staring at the plump man with a strangely perplexed expression.

Ling Mo looked even more confused, with a hint of barely perceivable coldness in his eyes.

This unexpected guest was a fatty.

He didn’t catch the warning in Ling Mo’s gaze but instinctively shivered. After checking for danger around him, he forced an awkward smile: “You two… ahem, you two continue, don’t mind me…”

With that, he turned and started to walk away.

He wasn’t completely clueless; although he didn’t know what the two had been doing before he fell, recalling their previous encounter at the vegetable market, he wasn’t about to stick around as a third wheel. If there were others here together, that’d be fine, but being the only one wasn’t necessary.

However, Xia Xinyan pushed Ling Mo aside at the right moment and called out to him: “Wait! How did you get over here?”

They still didn’t know where they were, and the people they had worked hard to gather had scattered again. Now that they had bumped into the fatty, it didn’t make sense to let him go.

The fatty turned back with an embarrassed grin: “I was just on the upper floor and spotted a glowing skeleton that looked red, so I was worried it would come after me and tried to sneak away… but this place is so dark, I ended up tripping.”

Xia Xinyan frowned slightly, about to say something, when the fatty suddenly looked up, his expression changing: “Oh crap! It really is coming for me!”

Both Xia Xinyan and Ling Mo looked up, only to see a burst of red light appearing from the dark above, which was likely the skeleton the fatty had mentioned.

The next moment, the searchlight suddenly went out, plunging the surroundings back into darkness.

Xia Xinyan was a ghost and had a certain degree of night vision. However, perhaps to balance the game, she couldn’t see beyond a certain distance, and this darkness was no problem for her. Just as she was about to grab Ling Mo to find the fatty, the glowing skeleton also came crashing down from above, landing right between them.

Then it sprang up, moving several times faster than any skeleton they had seen before, even faster than an average human. It glanced at Ling Mo and Xia Xinyan for a moment before turning and charging straight at the fatty.

Xia Xinyan frowned even more: “Has the Hunter started targeting others now?”

The Undead’s target was Morning Light, so why was it now aiming for the fatty?

Could it be because of… that bone?

Ling Mo didn’t think too much and was ready to go help, but before he had run far, a magic circle suddenly lit up under their feet, and the disembodied feeling hit them again. Before they could react, they were teleported to another location.

Still among a bunch of shelves, but now the fatty and the skeleton had disappeared, replaced by a sinister-looking old man.

He pointed at Xia Xinyan: “You daring wild ghost, even after death, you still linger in this world! Even killing my clone! I won’t let you perish today; it would sully my identity as a ghost-exorcising master!”

After a pause, he pointed at Ling Mo: “And you, foolish brute! Since you’ve helped the wild ghost to harm me in the mortal realm…”

— What responded to him was a heavy punch from Ling Mo.

Knowing that these hunters had a strength far surpassing their clones, Ling Mo didn’t hold back from the start. Xia Xinyan had night vision, and as a zombie, he also had a certain degree of night vision—so even without any light, it didn’t affect him at all.

Yet he still underestimated the Taoist’s strength.

What appeared to be a frail old man who would collapse at the slightest touch, Ling Mo’s powerful punch didn’t even make him bleed, let alone break his nose. After taking that hit, he immediately sprang back up, roaring: “Brat! You scoundrel! I’ll send your soul to the afterlife…”

Another punch from Ling Mo came right at him.

“You disrespectful…”

Another punch.

“You…”

Another punch.

“Rascal…”

Another punch.

“If you’re so capable, stop hitting my face…”

More consecutive punches followed.

The Taoist’s body was as solid as iron; each punch from Ling Mo, powerful enough to smash through concrete walls, couldn’t even crack the old man’s bones. And although he was being pounded, he still managed to angrily curse after taking so many hits, revealing his impressive strength.

Xia Xinyan frowned, about to float over to help Ling Mo, when suddenly the old man threw his arms around Ling Mo, who was busy pummeling him. Then, a burst of red light erupted from him, forming a fire dragon that engulfed both of them in an instant!

Xia Xinyan gasped: “Mo Mo!!”

However, after unleashing this attack, she couldn’t get closer to the two; that fire dragon had intense ghost-repelling power. Even getting a little closer would feel like her body was being scorched.

Though the Taoist’s ability wasn’t aimed at Ling Mo, one couldn’t be sure that this basic attack without additional effects wouldn’t harm him.

She called out, but Ling Mo didn’t respond at all.

Xia Xinyan bit her lip, just as she was about to desperately rush in to rescue Ling Mo, another figure fell in front of her.

A Mechanical Soldier, landing in a superhero pose.

It stood up straight and aimed its grenade launcher at Xia Xinyan, pulling the trigger.

Xia Xinyan’s expression changed; she instantly entered her ethereal state.

The grenade shot through her body, and the explosion behind her instantly brought all the shelves crashing down.

The Mechanical Soldier’s eyes glowed brighter, raising its weapon to shoot again.

Xia Xinyan raised her hand, sending a pile of falling goods hurtling towards the Mechanical Soldier: “Do you really think I’m that easy to bully?!”

Now equipped with a telekinesis ability from her ghost powers, which was essential for haunting, it was perfect to use against this guy.

Just as the Mechanical Soldier pulled the trigger, those goods flew straight towards the grenade launcher, hitting it just as the grenade fired, resulting in a fierce explosion that instantly enveloped the Mechanical Soldier in thick smoke.

Xia Xinyan pursed her lips, too lazy to care about the Mechanical Soldier anymore, and directly floated toward Ling Mo’s location.
