I possessed the body of an extra holy knight in a dark fantasy novel where half the characters end up dead. Still, out of loyalty as a reader of the original story, I endured the dirty looks and tried to lend a hand of salvation… but these guys, without a shred of gratitude, went and excommunicated me? Fine, if that’s how they want it, forget salvation and all that—I’ll live however I want!
I created a game character. Instead of taking several perks, I added restrictions. ▶Restriction (I): “Curse of Sensory Seal” ─Permanently seals a chosen sense. ─Choice: Sight, Taste, Smell ▶Restriction (II): “Curse of Short Life” ─You are born with a body doomed to a short life. ▶Restriction (III): “Curse of Silence” ─Speaking causes you pain. When the next day came, I couldn’t see anything.
In this world, I created a game to feed my family. But… “Line block! Disciple! Give me the line block!!” “Killing Aerys! Are you even human to do that?!” “Look at this! Didn’t Jim unify the continent! Jim is truly the emperor who will unify the Three Kingdoms!” “Hahaha! Beans taste better when peeled!!” “Gacha is a bad for civilization! It’s war!” The world history began to flow in a strange direction.
I was thrown into the solo-developed game “If You Wish” and struggled to avoid becoming the villainess, who meets a terrible end.
It wasn’t even malicious criticism. I just gave feedback in the tone I was asked to. So why the hell did I, the writer who just wanted to help a junior, possess this body of the prospective groom… a villain, who died in the hands of the heroine on their wedding night?
Despite gifted with extraordinary talent, I resented my life being cut short. One day, fueled by alcohol, I penned a proposal letter to a princess, hoping to alter my fate. [Sure. I’d love to marry you.] …What? She’s accepting? The problem is, I proposed to all five tyrant princesses. And to make matters worse, I have no clue which one responded.
For unknown reasons, I found myself in a game and am on my 12th attempt at clearing it. It appears impossible to achieve the “conquer all heroines” ending. The moment I decided to give up on conquering the heroines and aim for the “defeat the final boss” ending instead: [The monsters in the dungeon are strengthened by Saintess Jill’s blessing.] [The monsters in the dungeon gain weak toxicity due to Witch Yulia’s curse.] [Cold air envelops the dungeon because of Frost Lord Yerina’s grudge.] The heroines started blocking my path forward.
War hero. The strongest in the world. Those are the epithets of the protagonist I created in my novel. Now I have to catch and destroy that bastard.
