Cluttered desk overflowing with items. And a message window popping up a beat too late.
Amid the long list of texts, the most eye-catching were the 11 Goddess Statues notifications at the very top.
“???”
No, that…
This isn’t what I meant by asking you to watch over me?
Was the fact that I gave Karen a Goddess Statue such a problem for you, oh Goddess?
It’s ridiculous enough that you’re handing out so many 3-stars, but it’s just a useless Goddess Statue!!
From what I can see, my skills or powers haven’t been finalized at all… Did I just dump all my luck into these Goddess Statues?
“Probability manipulation… stop!”
With a grumbling heart, I glared at the ceiling, but all I saw was the drab ceiling above.
I’d love to send a truck or something, but I need the money for another Gacha roll, so I’ll let it slide.
Still, getting this many 3-stars is undeniably a good deal, right?
As I tried to think positively, I scrolled down the flashing list before me.

[★4-star: Large Capacity Subspace Ring★]
“D-what?”
Two 4-stars…?
There’s something strange in between, but overall, this is an incredibly good gacha result.
These are items I need most and can use right away. It feels like they were handed to me to prepare for tomorrow’s events.
“Ah! I get it! Not a human, but a Goddess!”
I bowed deeply towards the Goddess whose whereabouts I didn’t know. No, I bowed twice because I was grateful.
Bowing twice is usually for the deceased, but this isn’t Confucian culture, so it should be fine.
If anything, the Goddess who got to appreciate my dogeza (not really) twice must be satisfied.
“Hehe, now let’s take a look.”
I hummed while searching through the pile of Mana Herbs. After repeatedly avoiding the Goddess Statue that could easily catch my hand, I finally touched a glass bottle.
The small bottle, about the thickness of my thumb and the length of my index finger, contained a transparent liquid that sloshed around.
Is this the tear or something? I have no idea what it’s used for, but since it’s 1-star, it’s likely a useless trinket.
“Ugh.”
I tossed it into the corner of my bed and went back to rummaging through the Mana Herb pile. This time, I felt something soft.
Pulling it out revealed a cloak with a thin, soft texture resembling silk.
A plain black cloak without any patterns. Is this the 4-star Transparent Cloak?
It sounds good just from the name. Perfect for silent steps and all that.
When spread out fully, it was said to be difficult for even Lydia to sense my aura unless she was looking directly at me.
Now it wouldn’t even be visible, so it should be even harder to detect.
Whether fleeing or ambushing, this equipment is bound to be useful for me.
“Whoa.”
As I draped it over my shoulders, the cloak, which had been a bit large, smoothly shrunk to fit my body perfectly.
But how do I use this?
Most magical devices work when you inject mana into them somehow. I tried operating just a tiny bit of mana.
Vroom-
The cloak greedily absorbed my mana, gradually fading until it perfectly blended into the surrounding scenery.
…My body, however, remained visible.
“What is this?”
Doesn’t the Transparent Cloak mean it makes the wearer invisible, not that the cloak itself becomes transparent? And I received a 4-star for this??
A surge of curses rushed to my throat, but just then, I saw a mirror half-buried in the pile of Mana Herbs, and my frustration melted away.
In the mirror’s reflection, I was absent where I should be.
My body was visible only to my eyes!
In a moment of panic, I swung my weapon. What was close to my body also became invisible, but the moment it left my grasp, it became visible again.
It seemed that larger objects were immune to invisibility even if I touched them.
But there was one significant issue.
“Gurk…”
This thing consumes way too much mana.
Unlike real magic, which involves complex magic circles and precious materials, magical devices are easier to use and hard to make.
They require little mana, and the effects are consistent.
Yet this cloak couldn’t even last 10 seconds with such little consumption.
Thanks to constantly munching on Mana Herbs, my weak flame could last for nearly 5 minutes now.
So I’ll only use it at crucial moments.
Next is the Haste Boots. The name suggests potential effects, but… sadly, I can’t verify them right now.
“Wahhh…”
How can I use magical devices when my mana is at its lowest?
Munching away on the Mana Herbs scattered nearby, I decided to check out something else.
Something that stood out suspiciously was a transparent glass case.
“This must be it, right?”
As they say, if you buy a figure, you need a display case too. Not that I’m complaining since I was basically forced into it!
Still, this case itself was beautifully made.
Custom-made to fit a Goddess Statue perfectly. Crystal clear, allowing a neat view inside. Surprisingly light as well.
It clearly seems to be made of glass, but… They didn’t use ordinary glass, right?
Just to be sure, I lightly scratched the top with my Unicorn Dagger. If it were normal glass, it would have either shattered or cut cleanly…
Crunch.
The surface of the case remained intact. Okay, there are slight scratches when touched, but nothing visible to the naked eye.
“Very sturdy…”
Either it’s made of a special material resembling glass, or it’s glass coated with enhancement magic.
For a moment, I chuckled to myself, wondering how genuine this was until I discovered a small button on the side of the case. I pressed it.
Pop!
Light emitted from the top of the case. Looks like it has a built-in light feature.
“Putting it in there would definitely look cool.”
I couldn’t help but smile, thinking that “high-class” wasn’t just an empty label as I pressed the button again.
Bang!
But rather than turning off, the light changed color and started glowing red.
“…No user manual?”
I thought I’d experiment by pressing the button repeatedly. Each time, it changed to various colors such as blue, purple, yellow, pink, and so on.
After fiddling with it for a while, I pressed and held it, and finally, the light turned off.
“They really went all out on this.”
I shook my head and, during the meantime, regained enough mana to try using the Haste Boots.
Just as I expected, the effects were exactly what I imagined. Consuming a certain amount of mana, all actions were sped up for about 30 seconds.
However, it didn’t speed up my thinking process either, and the mana consumption is considerable, so using it consecutively might be out of the question.
I’ll need to use it only at crucial moments; it’s unrealistic to spam it during casual tasks.
I’ve checked all the items now. The only thing left is the 22 eyes watching me with a ridiculously benevolent expression…!
Swallowing hard, I picked up a Goddess Statue. At that moment, a notification appeared as if it had been waiting.
Ding!
“Would you like to synthesize [3-star: Masterpiece – A high-class display case perfect for storing the most beautiful, charming, and lovely Goddess Statue in the world]?”
I pondered for a moment while staring at the notification.
If I just sold those 11 Goddess Statues at the temple, wouldn’t I rake in a fortune? How many times could I roll the gacha with that…?
It was an enormous temptation. But I held back.
This experience confirmed it. The Goddess of Love can indeed intervene in gacha results.
I gave one to Karen, and she retaliated by showering me with 11 more, didn’t she? If I’m not careful, every gacha from now on could just yield Goddess Statues. Or worse, just Mana Herbs.
I’m not looking to provoke the Goddess unnecessarily. It’s a bit awkward between us, but we’re not enemies or anything.
Moreover, if I can synthesize this much, I’m curious about what will happen.
Taking a deep breath, I nodded.
“I’ll synthesize it.”
Whoosh!
As soon as my permission was granted, one of the fallen Goddess Statues on the floor lit up white and was overlaid onto the one in my hand.
Ding!
An alarm announcing the synthesis completion rang, but instead of reading it, I continued with the synthesis.
“I’ll synthesize. I’ll synthesize. I’ll synthesize!”
Exactly 10 times. Once I synthesized all the Goddess Statues into one, the sound of the notification changed. Instead of a dry ding, it sounded like a triumphant fanfare.
Bam bam bam!
“You have synthesized [3-star: Masterpiece – A high-class display case perfect for storing the most beautiful, charming, and lovely Goddess Statue in the world +9] into [3-star: Masterpiece – A high-class display case perfect for storing the most beautiful, charming, and lovely Goddess Statue in the world +10]. Congratulations! The potential of [3-star: Masterpiece – A high-class display case perfect for storing the most beautiful, charming, and lovely Goddess Statue in the world] has been maximized!”
“Wow!”
Ten-turns is full-turn, huh?
…Wait, does it really require ten to reach full capacity in a gacha system that offers a vast range?
Am I going insane? That thought bubbled up inside me, but at least getting the rare full-turn was a good thing, right?
What’s different now? I looked closely. And then realized a horrifying fact.
The statue’s white body had turned into a full-color version, exuding a gentle divine power and feeling warm to the touch—none of that matters!
The statue, which should have been made of stone, looked soft as if crafted from silicone!
“Gahhh…!
Oh my god.
A squishy, sticky, warm mini Goddess of Love!!
My faith surged within me.
