Chapter 305

Outskirts of Songpa District, James Tower.

After sending the Gray Reaper into space with the Golden-Meka-Tyranno rocket, James was trying to enjoy a moment of leisure, but soon he was bustling around again due to another emergency.

“If we’re out of Object Blocker suits, at least get some Virus Blocking suits…!”

“If we have any spare flamethrowers, quickly move them towards Gwanak Mountain!”

“Quickly declare a state of emergency. The American Object Association will release a statement soon!”

In the Situation Room set up in James Tower, employees were moving hurriedly, dishing out orders or making calls.

This was all due to the so-called “Green Moon Bacteria” incident.

Not only were tiger packs appearing in Korea, but legendary creatures like phoenixes flying through the sky as well.

All life forms created by the Green Moon were transforming into a sticky, dark green slime.

If it were just a melting phenomenon, it would be a good thing since dangerous creatures like tigers would disappear, but the generated slime was continuously consuming surrounding materials and multiplying.

Organic materials like animals and plants.
Inorganic materials like metals and stones.
Even gases in the atmosphere.

It was truly a horrifying bacteria that devoured and multiplied everything.

Like nanomachines from a sci-fi tale that swallowed up all materials and turned them into gray.

The only good news was that the rate of multiplication wasn’t incredibly fast and that there were measures humans could take against it.

The countermeasure was simple.
Burning it with high heat!

But even that was just a temporary fix.

“Of course, it regenerates.”

James sighed as he examined the experimental data sent from the James Research Institute in America.

The bacteria, just like the ‘Blue Lizard’ quarantined in the Sehee Research Institute, would resurrect even after being incinerated without leaving a trace.

In fact, it was something that could have been predicted.
Even after completely burning the bacteria slime on-site, the slime would slowly reappear.

It was merely a delay tactic.

Beep-!

At that moment, a part of the red map in the Situation Room turned blue.

“Red Reapers have arrived near Gwanak Mountain!”

The monitors in the Situation Room displayed Red Reapers flying through the sky over Gwanak Mountain, burning the dark green slime.

“Revolution!”

Red Reapers flying with red scythes and hammers.
The Red Reapers were spreading from Seoul Forest to the rest of the world.

“Once again, the Reapers are saving the Earth.”

James mumbled as he checked the reports of Red Reaper sightings coming in from around the globe.

“All good and well, but do those red scythes and hammers really need to be there?”

James had a feeling that once this incident was over, accidents would surely happen due to those scythes and hammers.

*

James Space Station, occupied by the Green Moon.

A new follower, having become the Green Moon itself, confidently began to spread its dark green slime in all directions.

[Immortal.]

The Green Moon thought it had obtained true immortality by imitating the Evolution Liquid.
Maximizing its abilities of life birth, death, and resurrection, simply and powerfully like the Evolution Liquid.
It wouldn’t die even if killed, merely cycling through the loops of life.
It had truly reached the realm of a god.

Convinced it had reached the divine realm, the Green Moon decided to test its powers against the feeble god.
As the Green Moon emitted a will to attack, the dark green slime began to bubble and take shape.

The slime took on the forms of numerous animals once created by the Green Moon.
From realistic creatures like tigers to imaginative creatures like dragons.
Those monsters filled what had now become the desolate realm of the Green Moon.

‘…’

Looking around, filled with monsters, the Gray Reaper stood idly with an expressionless face.
[Become part of us.]
A tidal wave of monsters surged towards the Gray Reaper like an army of ants.
But the Gray Reaper simply extended its right hand towards that terrifying wave.

‘Kkyek.’

And it clenched its fist as if tearing the void.
In that moment, space twisted, beginning to erase everything.

Truly the might of a god, the power of a god, the wrath of a god.
Yet, even before such colossal power, the confidence of the Green Moon did not waver.
It made sense; it felt that the presence of the ‘Gray Reaper’ had diminished slightly.

This was obvious proof that the Gray Reaper could perform that tremendous spatial cut dozens, hundreds of times, but could not do so infinitely.
In contrast, the death and birth of the Green Moon were phenomena that occurred merely by existing.
A true immortality with no expenditure!

The Green Moon, with a confident expression, attempted to resurrect the dead monsters.
[Rise again, serve us.]
However, nothing happened.
In fact, a significant part of the essence that constituted the Green Moon had already disappeared.
The essence that must circulate the loop of life had diminished.

As the Green Moon began to fluster, the Gray Reaper smiled, as if it had been waiting for this moment.

Like a ‘Hehe’ laugh.
And as the Gray Reaper spread its arms wide, monsters began to rise from the ground.

Mint-choco tiger.
Rainbow candy phoenix.
Cotton candy dragon.
Finally, roll cake Tyranno.

A horde of monsters made of snacks surrounded the Green Moon.
All had once belonged to the loop of life of the Green Moon, but now the monsters were beings belonging to the loop of snacks.
The Green Moon could finally see and feel it.
Deep within the body of the Gray Reaper lay an ecosystem of snacks that devoured and transformed everything.

Seeing the Mini Reaper Garden, the Green Moon was engulfed in endless terror and began to flee once again.
Just as it had fled from the Evolution Liquid.

*

In the jungle, the now desolate James Space Station.
The destruction condition of the Green Moon [Cut the loop of life] could be realized by observing the dark green slime closely.
The destruction condition of the bacteria forming that dark green slime was remarkably simple.
[Significantly destroy the cellular structure.]
That slime was a cluster of unstable bacteria that repeatedly died and revived; I knew one ability that was similar to that process.
The first thing that came to mind was the ‘Blue External Being’s’ soul ability.
It appeared to be similar to the External Being’s ability to control dead objects.
‘Then, to cut that ‘loop of life,’ do I need to summon the Blue Giant?’ Before I could ponder this, I realized another point.
That’s ultimately the ‘Moon’s’ ability!
So there shouldn’t even be a need to summon the blue sphere?
If it were an object ability to ‘die’ and resurrect at least once.
Moreover, if it were a moon-tier ability, not an external being-tier ability,
It would seem that at the moment of killing, it would enter the Mini Reaper Garden.
Hehe.
So I had been toying around feeling playful, but the moment the Green Moon confirmed my ability, it started to flee.
“Don’t run away so boringly!”
I smashed a monster made of bones and flesh with a ‘Kkyek,’ but the slime didn’t stop fleeing, even upon losing its core entity.
And then everything began to crumble.
It all started with the giant green moon floating in the sky.
The boundary of the green moon, which had drawn a perfect circle, began to soften, and eventually, the entire moon began to melt into dark green slime and flow down.
The Green Moon had even given up its very form.
As the Green Moon completely dissolved away, not just the atmosphere and ground but space itself began to melt into slime.
Even the ‘power’ maintaining space began to escape as slime.
Then gaps formed within space, revealing the vast Earth and outer space beyond it.
What was visible was endless space.
Amidst the darkness sparkled the Milky Way and the shredded remains of the space station, and Earth filled one side of my view.
As the Green Moon’s spatial erosion disappeared entirely, I finally could summon the Mini Reaper Garden.
And countless Mini Reapers and a Giant Moss Ball, along with survivors, were suddenly thrown into space, just like me.
The unconscious Mini Reapers began to drift towards Earth, while the surviving woman started to hang on to the moss ball against the vacuum.
‘!!!’
‘It’s dangerous!’
In the endless vacuum, as they were drawn towards Earth, the Black Reapers got startled and began to protect the Mini Reapers and the survivors.
Slap, slap.
The Black Reaper turned its body into goo and began to stick to the Mini Reapers and survivors.
As all the Black Reapers clung together, they inflated to complete the Black Reaper sphere.
A black Reaper sphere that blocks cold, heat, and even changes in pressure and airflow!
But still, it looked dangerous to me.
It seemed there were mountains of issues to solve, like lack of oxygen.
So, I sent the entire Black Reaper sphere to the Mini Reaper Garden.
Once all the slumbering Mini Reapers, survivors, and Black Reapers were sent to the Mini Reaper Garden, only the Golden Reapers were left.
I thought about tossing these guys into the garden too, but figured they seemed to enjoy the zero gravity, so I left them be.
As I was drawn by Earth’s gravity, I turned my gaze toward the slime.
Then I saw the green slimes scattering and rushing toward Earth at the cellular level.
Were they planning to scatter and hide all over the globe?
It’d be way too wide to kill the green slimes one by one with spatial cuts.
Once they started burning up in the atmosphere, it would become even harder to track.
‘No choice then.’
I pulled out the blue sphere from the Mini Reaper Garden.
A massive gray Reaper bursting with blue light emerged from tearing the blue sphere.
The so-called Blue Giant.
As I began to control the Blue Giant’s body, firewood started to deplete at quite a rapid pace.
And I started to feel the flow of the object’s soul.
It was the ability of the ‘Blue External Being’ that collects the souls of dead objects from its own domain.
As soon as we entered the atmosphere, the bacteria began to die at an accelerated rate.
It was the limit of bacteria with a structure so unstable it could hardly be called a living organism, to begin with.
Those souls of the bacteria that die so easily would circulate through the loop of life and be reborn again.
But the souls of the dead bacteria couldn’t return to the loop of life and began to be plundered by the Blue Giant.
Thus, all the dead bacteria exited the loop of life, collected by the Blue Giant.
While the green slimes were dying, the Golden Reapers were attempting to break through the atmosphere in various poses.
“My mouth feels warm!”
Golden Reapers with their mouths wide open, falling.
Golden Reapers spinning around as they fell.
Golden Reapers curled up like balls as they fell.
Golden Reapers cheering towards the sun as they fell.
All the Golden Reapers were turning into meteorites in the atmosphere, breaking through in their favorite ways.
The so-called golden shooting star troop!

*

On a night when eight moons floated in the sky.
Gray, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple.
It was a night scattered with seven colored moons, disorderly surrounding the huge gray moon.
In that night, one could spot a newspaper sprawled out on the quiet street.
On the front page of that newspaper was a very unusual photograph.
A massive gray Reaper with a blue glow falling from the sky.
Next to it were numerous golden Reapers, appearing like comets.
