Chapter 190

Bahakarun pointed at Viola with his finger. She had taken the role of an adopted daughter a bit too well.

Viola felt an immense power that she simply couldn’t resist.

It wasn’t something she could see nor could she smell it.

She just knew that a colossal something surrounded her body.

And Viola had just experienced something alike not long before. ‘This is….’

The power that Tundra wielded to carve through the world. It was that force called ‘Annihilation.’ It was even more intense than Tundra.

No. Bahakarun was the very essence of annihilation itself.

“The Princess has spoken.”

Tundra pointed his sword at the darkness. There was no specific target.

It was merely the entirety of this place that was truly Bahakarun. No matter where you slice, it would be a slice of Bahakarun.

“Fight with all your heart.”

Thus, Tundra decided to give it his all. He swung his sword toward the ‘Annihilation’ that surrounded Viola.

“A human who has reached such a level is a rare sight indeed.”

Viola, now breathing a bit easier, took a deep breath. Tundra hurried to support her.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.”

Viola bit her lip. ‘Even Tundra’s Annihilation… is not really effective.’

Even that sword which had carved through the world only managed to momentarily halt Bahakarun. This despite Tundra being beyond the late stages of the novel.

‘Is it not possible to win?’

Bahakarun, who had sealed the Sun King Khan as well. Was there truly no way to obliterate him?

No ideas came to mind.

Even after rummaging through all the knowledge from the novel, no matter how far her imagination flew. She could not come up with a method to seal or annihilate the King of Evil Spirits.

“Yet…”

Purple leaves began to swirl around Viola. “I must do my best.”

The path was unclear. It was dark.

But even in the darkness, she walked on. That was how Viola had resolved to live, the way she chose to endure.

“Despite feeling such a gap in power, you still refuse to give up?”

“Yes.”

Viola decided not to give up. Tundra smiled at her determination.

“Since my Princess will not give in, I also shall not.”

He lifted his sword again, drawing out mana. Viola focused her mind and began to operate the flower field sleeping within her ring.

Millions of Marguerite flowers were dormant within the ring.

Through the ring imbued with the power of a Master Mage, Viola’s Grass Sword was set into motion.

“If you possess the power to annihilate all…”

Viola already learned. If there’s a realm of ‘Annihilation,’ there must also be a realm of ‘Life Sword.’ The power of Killing Star, if manipulated in reverse, becomes the power to save lives.

Viola had already experienced that.

“And if what you call the true world desires balance…”

Where there is creation, there is annihilation. Where there is annihilation, there is rebirth.

It spiraled and coiled, endlessly continuing.

So, this world cannot simply be defined by creation and annihilation; perhaps it should be termed ‘Eternity.’ ‘I don’t even know what I’m thinking.’

But what mattered was, ‘I want to live.’

She didn’t want to die.

She didn’t want to fall helplessly before annihilation.

“There must also be a power to revive.”

Spirit Miracle Water. The flower field imbued with the Life Water, began to create rifts in Bahakarun’s realm.

“You may have belonged to the laws of this world since the beginning.”

However, “I am not one of those.”

There was no reincarnated individual in this novel. The laws of this world. What this world desired. She would not abide by them.

“I will live.”

Tundra stood before Viola. ‘All I can do is protect the Princess.’

He understood earlier. He could not slice through Bahakarun’s world with his sword.

The one who could shatter Bahakarun’s realm now was Viola.

To allow Viola do her own thing, he resolved to protect her.

A voice came forth.

“Truly astonishing.”

Yet, there was ease in his voice. “A sword imbued with vitality. I see it has sufficient ability for the discussion on revival.”

Viola could not respond. Bahakarun’s world grew darker, and Viola felt progressively more exhausted.

Drawing out and utilizing all the vitality stored in the millions of flowers was an act that placed a considerable burden on Viola.

“You are the second to create a rift in my world.”

Viola knew of one. The Sun King Khan.

In that moment, Viola recalled something.

‘The Sun King Khan…’

He entrusted the future to the next generations. Thus, he distributed powers to his friends. That great hero must have predicted that a day like this would come. ‘Then…’

Then he might have prepared something. ‘Certainly. He must have left something behind.’

But it was hidden thoroughly enough not to be noticed by Bahakarun. He must have concealed it carefully. “A long time has passed.”

Bahakarun did not appear to be in a hurry. “Over a year has already passed in your time.”

Tundra felt that Bahakarun was watching him. The whole world was observing him.

“It seems I must annihilate you first in order to eliminate that peculiar girl with strange power.”

Bahakarun seemed to have decided to target Tundra instead of Viola. Tundra felt the same overwhelming energy Viola had sensed.

A force so immense it was beyond daring to resist.

It felt like something transcendent, higher than any descriptive language, was enveloping him.

Viola still kept her eyes shut.

‘Tundra, just hold on a little longer.’

She needed to find out.

What the Sun King Khan had arranged.

‘Sun Sword.’

While maneuvering the Grass Sword, she pulled out the Sun Sword from her spatial pocket. Bahakarun reacted upon seeing the sword. “It’s been a while since I saw that sword.”

There was no hint of anger from him whatsoever. He merely stated the ‘fact’ that it had been a long time since he last saw it, as though appreciating it.

‘Truth Stone.’

She took out a fragment of the Truth Stone. But what could she do with this? ‘BellaTu’s Ava and Brandia’s strong physique.’

Those were not things she could borrow. Even if she could, they were too obvious. At that moment.

Viola recalled something.

‘In contrast, if it were the power of the White Dragon that stood against Bahakarun…’ The things left by Paila were absolutely necessary to get this far.

The ‘Empress’s Mask’ which had nearly become shards, and the ‘Blood of the White Dragon.’

‘Perhaps.’

That too might be an arrangement by the Sun King Khan.

Anyway, to get here, she had needed Paila’s things too.

She received potions filled with blood from Duke Merisa.

Viola took a potion in her left hand.

‘Is there a reaction?’

She felt the world shudder. There was definitely a connection to this blood.

‘Ah.’

She realized something. “White Dragon Paila wanted to defy the laws of nature more than anyone else.”

That fervent desire had continued since ancient times. Defying death, she lived for thousands of years.

That blood was infused with that desperation. “So, I should be able to slightly distort the natural laws you speak of.”

Viola did not hesitate. There was not much time left.

Tundra’s body was in a blurred state.

‘No.’

She needed to protect Tundra. Viola shattered the potion.

As it spilled from her hand, the ‘Blood of the White Dragon’ dripped down. Sizzle!

With the sound, the blood evaporated.

Holes began to form in various places in space, and light seeped through them.

But that was just for a moment. The darkness filled the holes as if healing a wound.

Bahakarun spoke in a tone that was devoid of highs or lows.

“You’re using your head nicely, but it’s not enough. Do you not have more to show?”

The Blood of the White Dragon reacted. But that was as far as it went. ‘What more can I do?’

She had to act. Tundra was fading away.

“Tundra, get a grip! I won’t forgive you if you disappear.”

At her words, Tundra’s body darkened again. It grew lighter.

It darkened once more.

And grew lighter again.

“You promised you’d stay by my side.”

Tundra’s body became increasingly darker. Tundra had not forgotten the promise made with Viola.

No matter what, he resolved to hold together and resist annihilation.

But that too couldn’t last forever. Bahakarun remained leisurely.

Viola opened her mouth.

“Bahakarun.”

“Yes. My name is Bahakarun.”

Viola discerned one fact. ‘It seems he’s intentionally dragging this out.’

If he had wanted to annihilate both Tundra and Viola, he could have done it long ago. Bahakarun had allowed Viola and Tundra to survive for as long as he could.

He even kindly asked, “Do you not have more to show?”

That wasn’t a provocation.

It was Bahakarun’s genuine intention.

Because now she felt like she understood.

‘Bahakarun is, more than anyone else, a being that desires his own annihilation most intensely.’

He claimed he would annihilate the whole world, then afterward, he too would annihilate himself. Bahakarun’s ultimate goal was his own annihilation.

So, she asked. “What’s the way to annihilate you?”

“The method to annihilate me.”

The world fell silent for a moment. Then, he continued.

“When the Blood of the White Dragon stains the world.”

That was already met. “When a strong being who can withstand and consume my powers appears, and temporarily devours my powers while holding onto the Truth Stone. A being capable of defying the gods must stab me with the Sun Sword.”

The darkness of the world did not clear. “Though the Blood of the White Dragon has spilled, there is no strong being to consume my power.”

And then. Boom! Boom!

A loud sound erupted.

It was the sound of Viola’s Grass Sword making a scratch with the energy of Life Sword in that space.

“Sister!”

The world cracked. Just as before, light poured in.

“Viola, sister!”

Crash! The world shattered, and someone revealed themselves.

Selbin Brandia.

She was the descendant of the Lava Giant who could consume all ‘Abilities,’ including magic.
