The Reason Why Viviana is a Trash Character

Long post alert.
I’ve completed the Princess cultivation simulation ending 50 times.
I consider myself somewhat of a veteran.
I split the endings between Viviana and Lilian.
From my perspective, Lilian is a hundred times better than Viviana.
Let me explain why.
Most of the endings for Viviana are bad endings.
If you kill too many enemies in the war, she becomes corrupted.
If more than three of her allies die, she corrupts.
Even if she finds peace for the Empire, she feels unfulfilled and corrupts.
It’s just like witnessing a blowfish die—it’s a steady descent into darkness.
I also got sucked into her nonsensical overpowered specs and ended up playing only Viviana at first, but became an unexpected collector of bad endings.
Viviana has an internal corruption gauge, confirmed officially by the company. It’s a gauge that isn’t displayed separately, so if you just level up or earn money without knowing, your corruption gauge rises, leading to bad endings.
Only users who closely observe the game’s setting would know this, but even the somewhat lazy Viviana has a single hobby.
She loves to play the piano.
It was during piano playing that I first saw Viviana smile.
She’s a character who hates wasting time to the extreme, so I didn’t expect her to have a hobby, but it’s mentioned in a hidden event that appears in the mansion’s library.
If she plays the piano regularly, the corruption gauge can be lowered.
So, is that not a problem?
Of course, it is.
From a veteran’s perspective, there’s a set route, but this damn corruption gauge makes it hard to grow the character efficiently. Every morning piano, every lunch piano, and even dinner piano—what the hell, right?
And because she’s quite introverted, there’s no option to play the piano when others are around. She can only play alone.
It’s okay to skip a day, but if you relax even a little, it’s straight to the corruption ending.
It’s not like she has some disease where she dies if she doesn’t play the piano, but as a veteran, it’s just exasperating.
Viviana, with her sociopath concept, garners healing gauge through this is just funny.
According to the game company, there’s a route to alleviate the corruption gauge daily without doing this, yet during my 50 endings, I haven’t encountered that.
It might just be bluffing.
In any case, unless you’ve seen dozens of endings like I have, I recommend picking the protagonist Lilian.
Choosing Lilian and holding out until she awakens as a Saint leads to healing afterward. Don’t fall for Viviana’s gigantic hexagonal specs and end up like me, collecting bad endings in a row—pick Lilian!
But damn, Viviana is more my type, so I’m off to play Viviana!
Recommendation (15) Dislike (1)
– Honestly, if Viviana attracts you more, then that’s a huge upvote!
– I agree, abandon the cool beauty lady?
– Lilian is too innocent for my taste.
– I actually like the corruption route. Especially the feeling when I kill Lilian with my own hands—it’s exhilarating.
– You should leave.
– But is that hidden route really a thing?
– Isn’t someone going to find out?
– How about you?

Viviana.
So you do have a fondness for me?
“Can I call you Lady Viviana?”
“What did you say?”
I wasn’t planning on getting closer to Viviana. If she were to walk the path of downfall, the most at risk would be her close associates, so there was no special reason to get close.
But now I wonder if that even matters. Most importantly, Viviana is the sole heir of one of the four ducal families that exist in the Empire. Gaining her favor would undoubtedly bring immense benefits and rewards.
‘What should I do.’
Should I try to charm her?
As the saying goes, “Know yourself and know your enemy, and you’ll win every battle,” I know Viviana quite well among all the people in this world. I managed to charm the villainess Mardian with just a piece of information, so what’s stopping me with Viviana?
Okay.
Let’s make Viviana my ally.
I felt that I needed her help.
Mardian’s actions have been crossing the line more and more. She thought she could see me as just a cute pet like the others, but her attempt to kiss me showed that her traits were significantly twisted.
Who would’ve thought there were homosexuals in a fantasy background? It’s so absurd, it’s almost funny. The saying “all villainesses are crazy” seems to hold some truth.
If Mardian does something like that again, I’ll have no way to stop it. Right now, I need someone to control her. Fortunately, that person is right in front of me.
“Will you not allow it, Princess? I want to get closer to you.”
“Lady Blanc. I told you not to act coy.”
It seems that because she knows my false facade, the relaxed smile on Viviana’s face quickly faded.
I wondered how childhood friends would handle this. They would have certainly established a mutual understanding.
Then I just have to do the same.
“I really hope you don’t lie in front of me. I might look like this, but when I get angry, it’s pretty scary.”
Viviana placed her hand on my cheek with a chilling smile. My body trembled naturally at the unexpected coldness of her palm.
I gently placed my hand over her palm resting on my cheek. Despite feeling the calluses, I touched Viviana’s hand, which was endlessly soft. As I intertwined my fingers, she frowned slightly.
“Lady, what are you doing…?”
“Your fingers are incredibly thin yet long. I bet you play the piano really well, Princess!”
“…What?”
I didn’t miss the moment Viviana’s gaze trembled briefly. My words seemed to really shake her up. I widened my eyes and stared unwaveringly into her purple gaze.
“Lady, do I look like someone who wastes time like playing the piano?”
“Don’t you? I thought you’d look really elegant playing the piano. You must be incredibly beautiful surrounded by music.”
“….”
“Can you actually not play? I absolutely love the piano…”
I looked up at Viviana with an intense gaze that showed no wavering. Somehow, she seemed uneasy, turning her gaze aside and muttering softly.
“…Sometimes when I find the time.”
“Is that true? I really want to hear it! I adore piano sounds. But I haven’t heard anyone play for a while since there’s no one around.”
“….”
“Can’t we…?”
I looked up at Viviana with slightly drooping eyes. Deep in her unyielding purple gaze, various emotions were writhing.
“I see. So this is how you deceive others.”
Viviana stepped back with a twisted smile. Should I really call her the protagonist? She didn’t easily open her heart like everyone else.
“I’m not deceiving you.”
As she stepped back, I took a step forward, approaching her. As my constant movements caused her to pause for a moment, I grasped one of Viviana’s hands and pulled her toward me.
With a false truth reflected in my eyes, I spoke to her in an unyielding voice.
“I want to hear Lady Viviana’s music.”
“….”
It wasn’t a lie. I had to listen to her music to get closer to her, so my desire to hear it was sincere. Whether my sincerity reached her or not, Viviana turned her gaze away again and muttered in a small voice.
“…I play very rarely, so I’m not that good, and if it’s going to disappoint you—”
“No!”
Why can’t the War God of Battle look me in the eye like this? I persistently pursued Viviana’s gaze until we finally made eye contact.
“Lady Viviana, you’ll shine just by tapping on the keys. I can promise you that.”
“What do you know?”
“Well, of course, Lady Viviana is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen. Just sitting on a piano chair might make me fall for you.”
“….”
Viviana, gazing at me with a dumbfounded expression, hesitated for a moment and then turned away with an annoyed face, frowning heavily.
“It’s getting late. We’ll talk about this next time.”
“Ah… okay. I understand.”
“…ha.”
With my voice slightly sinking, Viviana tossed her head back and said briefly.
“I’ll play for you, so don’t be disappointed.”
With that, Viviana left the scene.
Suddenly left alone in the garden.
I watched as she disappeared from view, covering my twitching lips with my hand.
Hehe.
