Chapter 98: Your Majesty Must Be Careful
Noticing Arthur’s expression, Linis smiled and said, “I acknowledge you, but from here on, it depends on yourselves.”
“Lady Linis, your acknowledgment is the greatest help for me.”
Arthur replied, not expecting Linis to assist him much.
For him, just having Linis’s recognition regarding Airael was enough.
After all, some things truly needed to be done on one’s own.
Linis nodded in satisfaction again.
“I have completed my task today, so I won’t disturb you any longer.”
With that, Linis stood up.
“Lady Linis, farewell!”
Arthur stood to see Linis off.
After sending her away, Arthur sat back on the sofa, and the weight on his shoulders finally eased.
Although he had just received Linis’s acknowledgment, he had been cautious throughout the process for fear that she might change her mind and feel repulsed by him.
Fortunately, everything developed as expected, with no surprises.
In the Elf Royal Palace.
Not long after Linis left the inn where Arthur was staying, Airael received the news.
What did Linis go to see Arthur for?
Airael’s brows furrowed slightly.
There shouldn’t be much of an intersection between the two.
At that moment, Airael completely excluded herself from the situation.
What she didn’t realize was that while the two might not have direct ties, they were both quite connected to her.
With her as the middleman, naturally, two would intersect.
To Linis, she was like a daughter.
In this case, Arthur would be considered her son-in-law by Linis.
“Celia, what do you think Linis went to see Arthur for?”
Unable to make sense of it, Airael turned to Celia beside her.
“Your Majesty, I… I don’t know either.”
Celia scratched her head in response.
Airael withdrew her gaze.
After thinking for a while without conclusion, Airael gave up and continued to handle her official duties.
She planned to personally ask Arthur about it in the afternoon.
She trusted that Arthur would provide her with a satisfactory answer.
When noon came.
After finishing lunch, Arthur stepped out of the inn and headed toward the palace.
Meanwhile, Airael, also done with lunch, was feeding Anna.
Anna was lying in Airael’s arms, holding a large white ball and eagerly gulping down Airael’s milk.
After filling her belly, Anna dozed off in Airael’s embrace.
Watching Anna’s cute sleeping face, Airael smiled slightly.
Then she put away her smile and looked at Hela and the others beside her, saying, “Hela, I have something to do this afternoon, so I won’t be able to stay with Anna. Please continue to take care of her.”
“Your Majesty, taking care of Princess Anna is our responsibility and duty.”
Hela replied, “But may I ask something?”
Airael looked at Hela in surprise and said, “What do you want to ask?”
Seeing Airael agree, Hela felt a little relieved.
She was somewhat overstepping by asking Airael this.
But she still did it.
“Your Majesty, are you going to meet with Mr. Axi this afternoon?” Hela asked.
“Yes!”
Airael nodded in affirmation.
With Arthur’s victory in the tournament, she and Arthur could publicly spend time together now.
“Hela, why do you ask this?”
Curiosity filled Airael’s eyes.
This wasn’t typical of Hela’s usual style.
“I just want to remind you, Your Majesty, to be cautious regarding matters of the heart and not to be deceived by sweet words from some.”
Hela stated earnestly.
Airael suppressed a laugh and replied, “Hela, thank you for your concern. I will be careful about that. If anyone dares to deceive me, I will make them regret doing so.”
Hela felt a sigh of relief and didn’t say anything more.
Then, Airael stood up, holding Anna and walked toward the bedroom.
Just as she laid Anna down on the bed, a Royal Palace Guard entered and reported, “Your Majesty, Mr. Axi is asking to see you.”
“Celia, please lead Mr. Axi to my office. From now on, when Mr. Axi comes, you don’t need to report, just let him in directly.”
“Yes!”
Celia responded and left with the Royal Palace Guard.
“It seems I’m about to leave soon.”
Airael smiled at Hela beside her.
She hadn’t expected Arthur to be in such a hurry.
She thought she could enjoy a nap with Anna.
But Arthur came right after lunch.
“Your Majesty, please be careful next.”
Hela prompted.
“Mm!”
Airael nodded and said, “I’ll leave Anna in your care for now.”
With that, Airael left the bedroom, heading for her office.
Once Airael arrived at her office, Celia returned with the Royal Palace Guard.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Axi.”
Celia greeted Arthur with a smile.
The Royal Palace Guard silently returned to his post.
“Good afternoon, Celia.”
Arthur also replied with a smile.
“Her Majesty asked me to take you to her office. Please follow me.”
Upon hearing this, Arthur asked, “Is Airael still busy?”
“Her Majesty has finished handling today’s matters.”
Celia replied.
Then she leaned closer to Arthur and whispered, “It seems Her Majesty has something to discuss with you.”
After that, Celia stepped back, adopting a serious demeanor.
Arthur nodded and smiled, “Then I shall trouble you to lead the way.”
“Make sure to remember the route, Mr. Axi. Her Majesty just said that from now on, you can come directly into the palace to see her.”
Arthur’s face lit up with joy.
While it may not seem like much, it would save a bit of time.
Celia also smiled and then led the way for Arthur.
They encountered several complicated passages along the way, and she explained everything to Arthur.
Arthur took mental notes of it all.
However, their pace slowed down as a result.
Inside the office, Airael frowned, having waited for a while.
Why is it taking so long? Where are they?
Just as Airael was starting to lose patience, there was a knock at the office door.
Then Celia opened the door and stood at the entrance saying, “Your Majesty, I’ve brought Mr. Axi here.”
