Chapter 901: The Blue Feather in the Sea of Fire
In the midst of thunder and lightning, the air was occasionally torn apart, and the smell of burnt wood permeated the atmosphere. In the forest that had turned into a blazing sea of fire, a silver figure darted and dodged, avoiding the incandescent lightning bolts striking down from the sky.
Lolan Hill swooped low at high speed, stirring up wood shavings and sparks, her form wavering in the scorching currents, making it difficult for the pursuers behind to aim and hit her.
Her eyes flickered beneath the visor as countless pieces of information surged through her consciousness like waves, constantly being analyzed. While battling and evading, Lolan Hill was also searching for Ibel’s true form.
If these demonic beasts were under her command, they would surely be within her line of sight, but the forest and mountains obstructed such observations.
Where could she be?
As she pondered, several electric lightning hawks descended, striking the silver figure and causing fragments and powder to fly.
No, perhaps she could observe through the demonic beasts without having to be personally involved.
While flying, the young lady glanced at the data displayed on her screen. The activation degree of the relic had dropped to 31%, leaving her little time.
No, no, she muttered quickly.
Although the War Sequence had significant advantages in dealing with demonic beasts, providing both offense and defense, it was still too cumbersome when it came to roaming and investigating.
The silver figure suddenly plummeted, disappearing into a sea of flames. The lightning in the sky lost its target and began to concentrate its strikes on the vanished area. Then frost shot out from afar, dispelling the smoke and sparks.
In the ruins on the ground, an unmoving dark gold metal lotus reflected a faint glow amidst the firelight. As the tension heightened, numerous electric falcons descended, circling the sky and summoning wandering lightning columns to cleanse the land.
Lightning flashed, splintering wood and sparking, shrinking the hiding places in the sea of fire.
Finally, when the lightning column was about to touch the metal lotus, several blue cracks burst open. A pair of soft wings emerged gently, their long feathers resembling flowing ribbons, white tinged with a faint blue.
These wings rapidly spread wide, absorbing mana and magic power from the air.
Following the wings was Lolan Hill with blue-green hair, dressed in a turquoise silk gown with floral patterns fluttering from the wide sleeves. She danced amidst the flames and wind.
She felt much clearer around her body; although she was currently at Nature Sequence 6, she was more agile than before at Sequence 7.
The young lady’s thoughts drifted, attributing this to compatibility. She was naturally adept at wind and transformation, yet advancing with a relic from a contrasting domain had bound her hands and feet.
This relic was a trap from the beginning, how foolish of herself.
Well, though she had suffered some losses, she had learned many lessons and wouldn’t be so easily deceived again.
After realizing this, Lolan Hill put away the relic, lifting her head to face the approaching multitude of lightning. She raised her right hand, and winds began to swirl around her, as if rejoicing.
Her eyelashes trembled slightly as she closed her eyes, and a jade green butterfly formed on her finger, crystallizing layers of magic power. The surrounding flames and currents slowly became suppressed.
The butterfly approached closer, and the young lady kissed it, then it shattered, releasing a torrent of fierce currents. With the falling trees and flames, everything surged upward.
The crimson wind and flames engulfed the sky above like a surging tide, turning the day bright and dazzling, visible to all living creatures within dozens of miles.
With the wind’s enhancement, every spark and particle burned fully, releasing intense energy. High-energy particles formed by mana and magic power swirled and swept, breaking molecular barriers and annihilating the electric falcons, scattering them like dust.
In the burning sea of fire, Lolan Hill spread her enormous blue wings and slowly rose into the air. The cool night breeze began to sweep across the earth, revealing the cold stars. The storm clouds overhead gradually tore apart, finally revealing the hidden black dot thousands of meters high.
Indeed, there she was.
Lolan Hill understood, then aimed at the tiny black dot and opened her left hand, a crimson apple seed landing in her palm, exuding fresh vitality.
Green magic poured from her wrist, the seed sprouted rapidly, spreading like branches and vines, forming a leaf bow with small leaves and red-tinged berries at the edges.
“The sweat-drenched earth, the vast wilderness swept by the bountiful wind, here I present the promised fruit.”
A purple-red apple floated slowly in front of the young lady, and even just floating there, it displayed astonishing magic. The power of abundance intensified poison, while the candy’s power kept it at its most terrifying peak. Three different powers intertwined perfectly, captivating and intoxicating.
A drop of red juice fell from the apple, landing on the tip of the arrow, turning into dark red thorns. As the young lady drew the leaf bow, a strong sense of fate began to emerge.
It must hit and kill its target, this was the agreement woven by the witch’s powers.
That’s why Lolan Hill chose the Nature Sequence despite many considerations, because of the Bountiful Witch’s powers and this golden apple. This was her ultimate move without using the crown and her own powers.
“No,” Ibel, high above, watched the small figure in the sea of fire below, an unspoken fear covering her heart.
She was a witch and could sense the terrifying thing carried by the leaf bow.
That was the witch’s lifelong blessing and curse; if hit, it meant being dragged into death and annihilation, unable to escape.
“You can’t kill me,” a gray owl suddenly flew out from the forest, shouting angrily beside the young lady.
Then one demonic beast after another rushed out from the forest, fiercely attacking the blue-haired girl in the sea of fire, their roars and cries urgent and terrified.
“You can’t kill me!”
“You can’t kill me!”
“You can’t kill me!”
“You can’t kill me!”
The talking beasts seemed crazed, repeating and pouring out the same words. They launched frenzied attacks, constantly shattering the swirling fire and wind, stepping into the engulfing sea of fire, only to reach the central figure drawing the bow.
Seeing the protective currents weaken and the flames extinguished by the successive corpses, Lolan Hill looked at the figure in the sky, unwilling to fall, silently sighing.
“Stubborn indeed.”
The dark red meteor rose from the ground, ascending in a long arc, piercing through the dodging figure at the end of the wobbling vision.
Everything suddenly went quiet, as if time had paused. All the demonic beasts ceased moving and roaring, the enhanced power gradually dissipating.
Only the silent night fire continued to burn, the smell of scorched smoke slowly spreading, accompanied by the faint sound of sparks, illuminating the figure standing in the sea of fire.
