“I can’t help but talk about this! It’s a hot topic in the community these days, and it’s none other than ‘World of Arselia’!”
“Sudden content? But isn’t World of Arselia a game?”
“That’s right! It’s a globally famous game that holds the second place in PC Bang market share in Korea.”
“Will I finally be able to heal a bit with a game…!”
However, Woo Da Yeon couldn’t shake off her anxiety even in front of the camera.
It had already been three months since she joined ‘Higgs Studio’ at the suggestion of her classmate Ji Seong Hoon from the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
She was affiliated with ‘Letterbox,’ a leading MCN in Korea, and she served as the content PD for the physics section on a VTuber channel that became popular with science and magic content, boasting 1.45 million subscribers.
The topic from last month, “Can Humans Cross a River Using the Principle of Stone Skipping?” remained a nightmare for Da Yeon.
Having been too scared to ride a single roller coaster, she had to forcibly overcome all her phobias related to it thanks to her experience with gravity acceleration resistance training (g-test).
“It’s just playing a game, right? Isn’t it…?”
“Why don’t you believe me? Wasn’t the stone skipping thing somewhat fun?”
“I almost died of fear!”
“Anyway! I feel like Da Yeon has had a tough time, so I prepared something she’d like for this content.”
“You already feel anxious, don’t you?”
While pondering what the next content should be, Ji Seong Hoon suddenly shoved the camera in, looking for a VTuber angle.
She could have been flustered, but if she didn’t respond here, it wouldn’t be professional, so Da Yeon matched Seong Hoon’s intentions naturally.
“Have you played this game?”
“No, I’ve only seen clips on VTuber shorts occasionally.”
“Then shall we watch the trending video first?”
The fluorescent lights in the studio turned off, and the beam projector lit up.
Da Yeon nervously bit her nails.
There was nothing more uncomfortable than Seong Hoon’s sinister smile.
Though he was the acknowledged top student of the Korea University Department of Physics and Astronomy and had even dual-majored in Theoretical Magic, he was also an extreme weirdo.
Thanks to his unique content requests, Da Yeon was able to gain a reputation at Higgs Studio, but the process was never smooth.
She wasn’t sure how many times she had thought that she could drown in the middle of the Han River at her blossoming age.
Finally, the screen lit up, revealing a glamorous blonde woman.
In a dense forest illuminated by a full moon, she snatched a sword from an oncoming knight.
More than a dozen knights surrounded her once again.
But she engaged in combat with a confident gaze.
“Wow… Amazing…”
With stunning movements, she knocked down the knights one by one.
On top of that, she cast spells with ease.
She changed the trajectory of incoming swords from unexpected angles and even flawlessly executed triple-combination magic circles at times.
The screen quickly transitioned to a vintage library where the characters moved.
An NPC screamed and was slammed into the ceiling, announcing the start of the battle.
In a way that would be nearly impossible to replicate in reality, the woman deftly maneuvered through narrow spaces.
Above all, Da Yeon couldn’t help but admire the scene where she dealt the final blow to the boss.
“Four-way combination magic circle? No, was it five?”
Before the video ended, Da Yeon whispered to Seong Hoon.
“Does this game also have a magic assist feature?”
“Unless you count scrolling, there isn’t one.”
“That’s really amazing.”
The video ended with a well-dressed gentleman collapsing dramatically.
As the surroundings brightened again, Da Yeon rubbed her eyes.
After signaling that the camera was rolling, Seong Hoon asked for her impressions.
“I never imagined World of Arselia was such a game. I really want to play it now!”
What she liked most of all was the character.
Wasn’t it a pitiful protagonist that would fit perfectly in an action movie, but instead, she unleashed a massacre?
“But I probably won’t have many chances to play it myself! This content is more about analysis than experience!”
“Analysis?”
“What we just saw was a gameplay video from a streamer named ‘NoName.’”
“Are you saying it was an actual gameplay video? Not a teaser or something?”
Even in a virtual reality game that boasts high freedom and an assist function, what she had just seen was too extraordinary and unreal.
Why was such talent being wasted on broadcasting?
With skills like that, she could be at the Jincheon training center preparing for the Olympics, and even if her physical body couldn’t keep up, judging by her casting time, she could have excelled in the field of magic.
“So, I prepared this! Our content will be about analyzing the magic used by NoName! From today, it’ll be an ongoing video that both Da Yeon and I will have to watch together.”
“Are there that many? I mean, can’t you see the length of the videos? Plus, I don’t know about magic circles as well as you do, Seong Hoon!”
“Actually, there are three episodes, but I only brought the first one considering you. I won’t tolerate any more complaints. Besides, wouldn’t just analyzing it be boring?”
“What else are you planning?”
“If we were to use the same magic in reality, let’s calculate how much it would cost. Let’s do it! Fighting!”
Before she could protest, Seong Hoon quickly pressed the video’s ending button.
With her restraints released, Da Yeon pressed him hard.
“Are we really going to do this? Can’t we just delete what we filmed now and change the topic?”
“Why not? It looks fun! Didn’t you just see that gameplay video? That video alone has already hit a million views! Even if we just analyze it, we should comfortably get at least two million views.”
“Then why isn’t anyone else doing it?”
There’s no way that others would just sit around with guaranteed views on their content, right?
“Good question. The first reason is that the magic used by NoName is too difficult for first circle magic.”
“First circle magic? Are you saying all of that was first circle magic?”
From that point, Da Yeon began to feel uneasy.
Wasn’t first circle magic supposed to be extremely simple spells learned by middle school at the latest?
To think that some of the complicated magic circles that gave her a headache were all first circle magic?
It seemed more credible to solve the KGSAT math section using just basic arithmetic operations.
The expansion of magic was the domain of experts. No matter how brilliant Seong Hoon was, this clearly crossed the line.
“And there’s also the factor that there’s too much to analyze for an individual to handle.”
“That’s true. There are at least a hundred spells used.”
“Right. There’s almost no duplication. So this is not a ‘hot issue’ but a ‘hot potato.’ Everyone is stuck, unable to do anything with it. If we can just peel it, it would be a jackpot, but it’s too hot!”
Da Yeon turned her attention back to the VTuber video Seong Hoon had shown.
The view count was rapidly climbing even now.
Since World of Arselia is an American game, there were quite a few comments from foreigners as well.
In other words, if done well, it would be a good opportunity for Higgs Studio to attract foreign subscribers.
“But do you have a plan? I feel overwhelmed. Do you have a rough idea?”
“Not at all…?”
“What are we going to do then?”
“If we can’t think, we should at least run. We have good connections and education, right?”
In short, his strategy was to grab hold of idle graduate students and professors from the Korea University Department of Magic to analyze the magic circles she showed.
Since it’s said that the food prepared by someone else is the most delicious, Seong Hoon started reaching out to his acquaintances.
Da Yeon had a strong feeling that this content wouldn’t flow smoothly either.

-Say something, host!
-Can you really go AWOL for two weeks without a notice?
-NoName is fine.
-Was originally a troublemaker, so this is nothing new!
-Wanna taste League of Legends Ranked?
-Fact) The host is immune because she’s a League of Legends girl.
-Did NoName watch the VTubers?
-I want to see our Adella, hurry up and start World of Arselia!!!
The chat room was in complete disarray.
NoName’s past actions seemed to be a hot topic in the World of Arselia community, but they suddenly got buried by the major scandal of ACK pro-gamer’s match-fixing confession.
However, someone destined to rise will eventually do so.
As fragmented gameplay videos of her were uploaded on VTuber, NoName’s fame slowly began to swell beneath the surface.
Then, two days ago, the most famous science content channels in Korea, ‘Higgs Studio’ and ‘Dobby Science,’ uploaded videos targeting NoName almost simultaneously, becoming the catalyst.
Providing a wealth of friendly information about NoName’s achievements as if they had colluded, this became an opportunity for even those who didn’t play the game to find out.
So much so that some broadcasters even mentioned wanting to interview NoName in their personal communities.
-Where the hell is this?
-Why chat? Why not World of Arselia? Why chat? Why not World of Arselia?
-I just now noticed there’s no broadcast title lol.
Due to NoName’s irregular broadcast hours, most of her subscribers tended to participate with a head full of anger.
And listening to NoName’s soothing voice became a sort of tradition for calming that anger.
However, the most recently incoming viewers were bewildered by the fact that she had not said anything after starting the broadcast for several minutes.
Comments from existing viewers reassuring them that this was how her broadcasts normally were got swept away in a wave of rough text.
[‘Uncle Bob’s Magic Classroom’ donated 10,000 won!]
-If NoName herself wants to slack off, thumbs up! LOL!
Soon enough, the first donation exploded on her broadcast.
It was a donation sent in the hope that the host would lead the helpless refugees who had nowhere to go.
Anything would do.
They could attempt the highest difficulty in World of Arselia that no one had ever accomplished or hope that she could hit Challenger in Legacy of Legends, which they had put down for a long time.
Reflecting the sentiments of those who wanted to mock NoName’s erratic broadcasting style, powerful phrases flooded the chat once again.
-Thumbs up!
-Crying while giving thumbs up LOL!
-What’s with the thumbs up! Hurry up and show yourself!!!
-Thumbs up!
–Thumbs up
-?
-?
-???
-What was that above?
-??????????
-Stop chatting and just broadcast!
-This is really NoName LOL!
-This is absurd LOL!
Amidst the rushing rapids, the viewers found NoName trying to quietly blend in.
