Chapter 77

Extra Case File 77 The Sky Fell Due to Love

Chapter 4K

Soaring into the endless darkness.

Ash said nothing, hearing only the roar of the wind as he jetted through the air.

No one could know what the man under the metal mask was thinking, but his heart was far from calm like his exterior appearance suggested.

Could it be too late; was stopping Wild Flower the last resort? Ash didn’t know… no, Ash knew it, he just wouldn’t admit it to himself.

“I won’t let anyone take Wild Flower or Cure Yell away from me—”

To say that he would abandon Wild Flower now is laughable… do you think he’s doing this for any other reason?

“Never!”

Wild Flower is holding hands with her mother, guarding the bed where her unconscious father lies. Learning everything about her sister and Ash, she is almost engulfed by despair.

“?”

With a sense of foreboding, the girl lifted her head. The blonde and the blue-haired women, who were helping at the hospital, also looked up, gazing towards the distant darkness that was about to consume everything.

Is that rainbow seen in the distance an illusion?

Countless violent energy mechanical tentacles upheld her, elevating Wild Flower near the sky, allowing the further spread and erosion of darkness. In the time Ash had fought so hard, almost half of the world had been swallowed by the static darkness.

The thrusters slowly focused, and Ash finally reached the height corresponding to Wild Flower’s entity atop a dilapidated skyscraper.

“Flower—CureYell, are you there? Flower!”

Ash shouted at the fast实体ising darkness, but received no reply.

“Don’t fall for such cheap tricks, show your heart!”

Again, only the echo came back with no response.

Next, Ash reluctantly turned his gaze.

On the wriggling tentacles, a streamlined body flowed like a stream, a perfect creation of nature.

That was, something that did not exist, could not exist — an anomaly that was a fissure in the world yet genuinely existed, larger than Vrexrobo by almost its entire body size.

The high-purity ‘violent energy’ forming it carried a steel-like color, yet it belonged to a substance different from iron.

A graceful body, the neck hung with a head so beautiful, flanked by two arms-like appendages. This gigantic entity seemed to emulate humans, perhaps a proud flaw produced by mimicry of “gods.” However, behind it, there were additional steel wings, scorching and constantly waving but restrained by countless tentacles, unable to fly into the sky.

The continuously breaking metallic wings were superfluous if imitating humans.

If imitating gods, they would be too conspicuous.

But, she was neither a god nor human but the “Wild Flower,” transformed into the “Final Monster” representing boundless nightmare and despair.

The face on that giant head was similar to a female, akin to flowers, expressionless like forgetting laughter, showing only two “tear lines” patterns extending downward from the eyes devoid of pupils.

Seeing the “beautiful” yet desolate Wild Flower now, Ash squeezed his fist yet couldn’t help laughing.

The massive enemy needed no additional instruction from Ash. Just by closing its eyes, it could certainly be hit!

The gigantic steel god raised both arms, all cannons open, weapon restrictions fully released. The ultimate firepower of the VRex robot was deployed!

Right arm revolved missile, left arm’s boxing glove opened with double-barreled continuous beam gun, rear lifting two laser cannons, side of the head Grenade machine guns, thighs armor unfolded for contained cluster missiles, chest lifting dragon mouth for a concealed flame thrower, glowing eyes emitting beam rays—

The reactor ran at ultra-power limits, all weapons firing simultaneously!

Burning flames, billowing smoke, deafening booms, and weapon salvos all turned into eruptive light and chaotic lightning.

“Fire! Keep firing, don’t stop until the barrels are melting.”

If saving her is truly what must be done, then equal effort must be shown.

All bullet and beam attacks directly flew toward the massive Final Monster.

After a moment of silence, explosive lightning engulfed black sky, heat approaching making damaged tentacles sway, as if the gloomy false world was about to tear apart soon.

“Is it done…”

While Ash was secretly rejoicing, even more dark light engulfed the explosions, leaving the shadow of a grey “Venus” standing unaffected.

That meant, scientific weapons were useless here.

Looking at her mask, still emotionless despite the sorrow, it seemed mocking, yet eliciting no anger.

Without answering, Ash pulled the trigger.

The second wave of attack.

The third wave.

Fourth wave…

Out of ammunition, the revolving assembly on the machinery’s right hand made clicking noises in vain.

The dark barrier kept being shattered and reformed.

Yet, darkness was inexhaustible.

Just futile efforts.

This time, “Flower” attacked.

With both hands aiming at Ash, black cannon muzzles revealed, layers of violent energy forming script in the cannon, these “letters” fragmented, diffused, contracted, then re-expanded, finally turning into cold resistance heading for the Triceratops robot.

Continuous violent energy overflow fully covered mechanical ground. Weak lights crushed and devoured, further shrinking the enormous Steel God’s living space.

Ash gritted his teeth, the machinery also dodged desperately, engines full throttle.

When his feet smashed buildings below, stepping on another point avoided further attack.

Talons, special armor of the leg and foot swallowed, exposing twisted skeletons glaringly.

After ammunition depleted, the revolving assembly hit, deforming and dissolving until completely vanished.

But the attack wasn’t over yet, the open wings became actual physical weapons, swaying fiercely and twisting the giant, pulling a whirlwind that pushed the struggling figure backward violently.

“Ugh!”

Grasping for support to prevent being thrown off, like prearranged, all the attacks pushed him farther from Flower.

The massive machinery crashed down, armored robot worn ragged, crackling noises emerging from the limbs and joints.

Damaged arm promoted nearby buildings, trembling machinery stood again amid metallic moans.

“Isn’t it enough that I’m not to approach you?”

My closer I come, the stronger my resistance becomes. Isn’t supposed to counterattack, but instead, pushing me away deliberately.

Blood seeped out from his smashed eye, a hideous arc beneath the lens.

“Making yourself bigger, crying like that… Flower.”

You are pleading for my help, aren’t you?

“Not so hasty, Flower. I’m sorry… but, I’ll fulfill your wish!”

Facing several tentacles approaching with a broken god, the giant raised the already empty laser cannon.

“Things hindering others’ love paths, I wish you all go to Hell and stay away!”

Light and dark forces within Ash tipped the scales.

Light!

Incalculable lightraying burst forth from Ash, touching every corner. Darkness and tentacles withdrew squeaking and twisting like melting snow under the sun.

Even more, within the light, the static darkness was retreating, symbolizing salvation of the world?

“What—what’s going on?”

Ash himself was bewildered, laying down barriers of light to see a floating obsidian stone reflecting light. A familiar feeling emerged.

Is it the future crystal? That source of the Tomorrow Power used by Pretty Cure? Why is it here? Am I acknowledged?

It seemed ridiculous, yet taking the crystal instantly filled Ash with light from the Tomorrow Power. Even the irreversible damage to the VRex robot stopped, each part gleaming with radiant gold.

Confusion subsided as he understood.

When Wild Flower was utterly hopeless, losing response to Tomorrow Power, and since its essence isn’t gone, the resolve and hope to save her with a bright future in mind led to her selection as the bearer of the Tomorrow Power.

The massive Final Monster writhed uneasily, resuming attacks toward Ash.

“Maxblizzard!(Maximum Blizzard)”

Instantly activating the machine’s strongest technique! Energy units launched compressed freezing light streams, freezing the Final Monster below the neck into blocks, leaving only head and wings twitching vigorously with unlimited Tomorrow Power support.

Multifaceted adaptability allowed him to harness this power effortlessly. Under equal conditions, defeating the Final Monster became possible…. But.

Is Tomorrow Power, representing “light,” appearing now a sign to defeat the “darkness” that is Flower?

Facing the rampaging monster under the light of Tomorrow, he finally saw the long-awaited Wild Flower.

A womanly forehead on the Final Monster’s head gradually opened like a cat, revealing the tormented Flower amidst petals, akin to desolation.

Her pretty pink hair stuck to the shining back, bangs disheveled before her, staring blankly with lifeless eyes slightly tilted towards Ash, no longer that once cheering light.

“Flower… You look so ugly there, this can’t be the big sister you wanted to become, can it?”

“Yes, now you can’t get out by yourself. It’s okay, I’ll save you!”

Using his action to demonstrate, fully enveloped by Tomorrow Power, Ash soared upwards, slashing the motionless giant’s chest with his sword. Before he could pull Flower out, she screamed, blood gushing from her chest.

“Flower!”

Has she fused entirely with it?!

“Flower!” He opened his mouth to apologize, even knowing it was too late. “I was wrong… Can you forgive me? Do you hate me?”

“No, No, No, No, No!” Wild Flower screamed soullessly. “Don’t come near me!”

Despite the efforts to freeze solid, the ice block shattering left the Final Monster reigniting the chaos, surrounding Ash, yet missing the target.

Heart rejection prevented Ash from reaching her.

Refusing both her and hurting her — the one saving her, and the one harming her.

“It’s unfair… I’m the antagonist, while you are the hero meant to defeat me…”

“How does this make sense?”

Frustration nearly made Ash sit down dejected, but seeing sunlight reappear in the sky, a rescue helicopter approached in urgency, noticing the immense Final Monster and the VRex robot with its occupant.

Having the future crystal empowered him even without transforming, filling him with strange power enabling him to defeat her if needed.

However, a singular question echoed in his chest.

Isn’t there another way besides defeating her?
