Without looking back, she shouted to Carlos behind her, “Leave here, I’ll hold them off!”

Carlos struggled fiercely, trying to get up from the ground, but he couldn’t. Through his blurry vision, he heard the continuous hum of miracles from the crowd. Holy lances whizzed past from both sides, one of which the old woman smashed with a loud bang, while another pierced her side, embedding deeply into the soft ground nearby.

“Fall back! Everyone fall back—”
