Page Eighteen: Let’s Go Rowing!
The recliner was so soft, I could almost get lost in it…
No way!
Since the sun protection suit has been delivered, I should enjoy the water park too. I can’t waste my time like these recliner kings who just lie there.
I need to do something befitting of a water park.
First, let me check where Orange is. After all, she was still clamoring to play with me before we ate. Now, she must be thinking about her cool older brother, right?
Ah, my younger sister can’t live without me! Hehe~
Dial tone, phone connected.
“Hello? Big Brother… I’m on the raft channel now… Yes, with Sister Hai Tang… It’s a thirty-minute ride… Sorry, Big Brother, we’ll eat grilled meat after that… Let’s play together this afternoon. I’ll hang up now.”
Disconnected. Not quite convenient.
The “raft channel” is hidden within the tropical palm forest surrounding the entire “Water World.” Sitting on the raft board and drifting slowly through the waterway gives you an amazing rainforest-like experience.
That’s what the amusement park notice board says.
Wow, the artificial mountain at the start of the raft channel is even taller than the observation deck at the entrance. From my angle, I can’t confirm where Orange and her group are.
With an hour until our noon meeting, I decided to explore.
“Lín Huā? You have a jacket now? Want to go out and play?”
“Us two?”
He glanced at Yán Liúzhuǎn, seeming hesitant.
Up to now, we’ve both been discreet about that agreement.
Though taking off makeup doesn’t mean removing one’s facade, Tan Lín Huā chose not to dress up today. That means he must have considered something, like talking about life or trying to convince me to find the divine envoy… or maybe he didn’t want to risk exposure by dressing up in the water park.
Speaking of the divine envoy, I could still find Zhao Zhao, but thinking about him in the deep waters discouraged me… Although I brought diving goggles, I don’t know how to swim.
“I won’t rush you. I can tell you’re trying too. Let’s just walk around. It’s almost lunchtime. My breakfast needs digesting.”
Tan Lín Huā lingered on the recliner for a bit but eventually stood up.
“Alright, then where should we go?”
“I haven’t thought that far yet. Lín Huā, any place you’d like to visit?”
“The thirty-meter high-speed slide.”
Lín Huā was referring to the highest water slide in the water slide area.
Colorful pipes snaked down from a huge metal frame dozens of meters tall, stretching far along the ground. Gravity-bound humans slid out one by one.
Could this be scarier than a roller coaster?
“Woah, starting with such a thrilling challenge? No way, I’m not going.”

Suddenly, character introduction:
Cháng Kǎi, handsome male protagonist, alias Gal Note, known for his cautious nature and strong aversion to cross-dressing.
Such extreme activities are too much for me unless forced.
Tan Lín Huā looked at me with disdain.
“Kǎi, I wanted to say this earlier—you’re so cowardly.”
“It’s cautiousness. Falling from such heights, if the posture is wrong, wouldn’t it be disastrous?”
“Forget it, it’s almost half past eleven. Playing any facilities would make us late. Let’s just row a rubber boat.”
Rubber boat.
Following Lín Huā’s gaze, I looked toward the other side of the artificial beach.
Not all coasts had wave machines. There was a tranquil area for rowing inflatable rubber boats… Though it seemed odd to row instead of swimming in a water park, it’s a good way to pass the time.
“Alright, let’s row a rubber boat.”
Deciding on a destination, our pace quickened, and soon we arrived at the rubber boat rental dock.
Unexpectedly, we met the charming girl Běi Qiáojué, queuing at the dock.
She was accompanied by two beautiful girls I hadn’t seen before, one of whom was a shy foreign blonde.
“Oh, isn’t that Cháng Kǎi, rowing with friends?”
What’s this ‘Cháng Kǎi’ business?
Noticing my gaze, Běi Qiáojué affectionately hugged the two timid girls.
“These two lovely angels are new friends I made. I saw them being harassed by some unsavory characters and couldn’t refuse, so I rescued them.”
Huh? This clichéd plot should be triggered by me, the male lead! Why am I competing for rare beautiful girls when I’m already a girl myself?
I forced a smile and waved, greeting them.
“Hello, little sisters.”
“Hello, big sister.”
“…”
Both Tan Lín Huā and Běi Qiáojué chuckled.
About the term ‘sister,’ I needed to clarify, but Tan Lín Huā patted my shoulder…
I’ll leave the young lady’s dreams intact here.
“Are you in line because there are no boats left?”
“The four-person boats are gone, but there are still double-person boats available. You can go straight ahead.”
There were two types of inflatable rubber boats: large ones for four people and smaller ones for two.
“Alright, then let’s go ahead. Pfft.”
For some reason, Běi Qiáojué laughed again.
To simulate a real beach environment, the artificial beach occupied the entire southern area of the “Water World,” making the newly opened water area spacious and not too crowded with boats.
Sitting in the rubber boat, the dock staff handed us two plastic paddles and pushed our boat away with a long bamboo pole.
Although we had two paddles, we were facing each other, so if we each paddled independently, the boat would spin wildly.
So we took turns paddling until we reached the middle of the water, then I stopped and let the waves carry us, feeling the rise and fall.
We started chatting aimlessly.
“Kǎi, about the true self… I haven’t figured it out…”
Finally, the topic came up. Actually, I was also planning to ask, but I hadn’t found the right moment.
I tried sitting next to him, having a heart-to-heart talk, but the small rubber boat nearly capsized… I nervously glanced at the nearby depth marker, which read 3 meters.
Getting a bit deeper.
“Even without cross-dressing today, are you still wearing a mask?”
“I don’t know… I’m doing my best to follow my feelings.”
“Let’s not talk about you for now. Lín Huā, let’s talk about me. What do you think of me?”
His long, slender index finger pressed against his forehead, his brows furrowing as he tilted his head, looking troubled.
This somewhat feminine gesture would look cute when dressed up, but it seems effeminate now.
“Kǎi is a good-looking person.”
Suddenly, he gave me a compliment. Did you come to this conclusion after much deliberation?
“Whether good or bad, it doesn’t matter… Just say what comes to mind… I won’t get angry.”
Now he had a lot to say…
“Kǎi is arrogant, likes to meddle, and takes pride in it. Though you appear cowardly, your sense of justice as a citizen is strong, but it’s useless since you lack ability. You take advantage of benefits easily, are easy to control, and obedient. Despite your pretty looks, you don’t know how to use your strengths, always dressing up properly…”
So you’re criticizing me based on your feelings?
“Enough!” I cried out in anguish.
Flop, my heart hurts!
Tan Lín Huā was startled by my voice.
“Ahh! Didn’t we agree not to get angry?”
“Not angry, Lín Huā, am I really that lacking in positive qualities?”
“Though I said a lot, I actually like you quite a bit. After all, you were one of the few who treated me like a real girl.”
“At that time, I really thought you were a girl.”
“I know… Because I enjoyed being treated like a girl, I never revealed the truth. But then you…”
I ended up confessing with such confidence.
“Don’t say anymore, I might jump into the water out of embarrassment.”
