‘Did an entertainer enter the wrong room?’
Jung Min Hei also possessed a rather well-regarded beauty.
During school days, she never gave up her first-place ranking in the boys’ secretly conducted ‘Pretty Girl’ ranking.
But her beauty still fell within the realm of an ordinary person who is only complimented on being pretty.
However, the woman who had just entered the room was in a completely different league.
She didn’t seem to belong in this place, and it seemed unlikely she’d have anything to do with someone like Jung Min Hei, an ordinary person. Enough to make one initially think she had come to the wrong place.
“It can’t possibly be So Ah, though. Hmm…”
As both the manager and the company president, Jung Min Hei wasn’t entirely clueless. After all, the company wouldn’t function that way. She knew, for instance, that the real name of Jeon Seol Ah (also known as Sol) was Jeon Seol Ah, the terrifying daughter of the chairman, and that her hand span was only 13 cm.
The woman who had entered the room was clearly over 170 cm, and if someone with that height and those breasts had hands of 13 cm, it would be terribly unbalanced. Sure enough, the woman had delicate, white, and exceptionally long fingers that made anyone who saw them drool.
“Then, who is she?”
Reverting to the initial assumption, Jung Min Hei came to the conclusion that the woman in front of her didn’t enter the wrong room.
“Hello, I’m Seol Yun, So Ah’s younger sister. Nice to meet you.”
After enjoying Jung Min Hei’s startled reaction for a bit, Jeon Seol Yun finally spoke up.
So it was someone different, but not someone who had come by mistake. With a sigh of relief, Jung Min Hei responded.
“Ah, you’re her sister. Nice to meet you, I’m Jung Min Hei.”
Seol Ah was 23, her younger sister even younger, while Jung Min Hei was 27. However, in society, it’s basic to use honorifics with younger people. Jung Min Hei gave a polite greeting.
“So, is Seol Ah not coming?”
Today’s appointment was definitely a dinner with the streamer Sol. Had she sent her sister in her place?
As Jung Min Hei asked this question with such undertone, Seol Yun glanced behind her, a gesture Jung Min Hei failed to understand.
“?”
From behind Seol Yun’s coat, Seol Ah timidly stepped forward.
With a tense demeanor and quite a flustered tone, she asked her sister nearby:
“Um… what was ‘Nice to meet you’ in Korean?”
“It’s ‘Nice to meet you’, ya, sister.”
“Oh! Nice to meet you!”
Seol Yun nudged her sister’s ribs, whispering to her ear:
“You need to attach ‘yo’ — you’re using casual speech.”
“Yo!”
‘What is this? Some kind of adorable creature?’
From the very start, hiding behind her sister’s back, this entrance was not ordinary at all. How curled up she must have been to go completely unnoticed; was she a ninja?
Surprisingly, she had a decent chest, and she was about 160 cm, but still…
‘Ah, platform shoes.’
No matter how well-made elevated shoes were, they would always show. A 5 cm sole could only be plausible with alien technology. Unless you avoided looking at her feet, Jung Min Hei instantly noticed them when she glanced down.
She was wearing soles that were almost 10 cm high! Her posture seemed unsteady.
‘Definitely faking her height!’
While you can’t precisely determine someone’s height based on hand size, it generally correlates. If there was another person entirely different from her, they could be the exception, but there was definitely a relation between hand size and height.
The moment Jung Min Hei saw Seol Ah, she suspected the height-enhancing shoes due to the prior knowledge of Seol Ah’s hand length.
‘Adorable.’
There was no need to say more about her face — was she an angel? A goddess? Unlike her rather sharp-featured sister, Seol Ah had a completely innocent look, making her cuteness double. It suited her petite body perfectly.
Every action of hers— hiding behind her sister, stumbling due to extreme tension, and wearing exaggerated platform shoes to appear taller— was incredibly cute.
‘Blonde hair and big boobs? That feels off too?’
Considering her usual habits, she didn’t seem like someone who enjoyed visiting hair salons, yet she had her hair dyed, which required routine maintenance. Something seemed odd. Her hair, which Jung Min Hei assumed to be naturally black or brown, now featured a shade of near-white, bright blonde.
Naturally, her suspicion deepened. The hair was a wig, and the chest was fake.
However, since no one explicitly mentioned it, Seol Ah failed to realize her disguise had been fully decoded within 30 seconds.
‘Then what does she really look like?’
If they got closer and built trust, would Jung Min Hei get to meet Seol Ah in her “pure” or “true” state? Jung Min Hei resolved to dedicate herself at work like a dog—she had fallen in love with Seol Ah’s cuteness at first sight.
“I apologize for meeting so late after we’ve already established the company.”
“Ah.”
“Seems like you want to say ‘Ah’, right, sister?”
“No, not really. She’s probably scared and shy.”
Seol Ah didn’t look well at all.
She had the face of someone dragged in from a loan shark’s doorstep. Jung Min Hei even reconsidered her own appearance, wondering if it was that intimidating.
Consequently, the conversation’s momentum was now firmly in Seol Yun’s hands.
‘How can these sisters be so different?’
Seol Yun was bold and confident, whereas Seol Ah was shrinking timidly like a little ball.
Seol Yun was a tall, elegant beauty, while Seol Ah was a cutely adorable figure whose age seemed suspicious. Moreover, a subtle but eerie vibe emanated from Seol Yun.
Seol Ah, dressed in a disguise full of defensive measures, naturally raised the suspicion: had Seol Yun not pulled off some scam?
Common sense dictated that a face and figure like that couldn’t realistically exist.
However, Jung Min Hei had a strong intuition. If she doubted or offended Seol Yun, something terrible—indescribable—would happen.
Was it the faint madness in her eyes?
Seol Yun maintained a polite tone and courteous manner, but the eerie feeling persisted—something, something, something was off.
‘It’s probably an overreaction. Stop having strange thoughts. It’s impolite.’
Perhaps it was merely because she had fox-like upturned eyes and was exceptionally beautiful, triggering unnecessary suspicion.
Unbeknownst to Jung Min Hei, one pocket of Seol Yun’s coat housed an electric shocker, and the other, pepper spray—both dangerous items requiring possession permits. However, Jung Min Hei simply dismissed it, deciding there was no reason to overthink.
Sitting down at the table:
‘Height visibly dropped when seated! How long are her legs!?’
The second reason Seol Ah’s height-enhancing shoes stood out—her torso was too short.
Even though it wasn’t a shoe-removing restaurant, the shoe difference became apparent as soon she sat down. Clearly, this person was shorter.
Jung Min Hei had to tense her facial muscles to suppress the laughter bubbling up—she couldn’t laugh. It was important to protect Seol Ah’s “innocence.”
“Strange person, sorry.”
In the meantime, Seol Ah subtly whispered to Seol Yun while observing her surroundings.
But Seol Yun didn’t relay the exact message.
“No! You’re not strange at all! Right, Min Hei?”
“Yes!”
“Being this pretty, everything you do is just your unique charm and concept! Right, Min Hei?”
“Absolutely agree!”
“Uh…”
“Sister, the best!”
“Hail Seol Ah!”
‘Are you teasing her?!’
As a side note, one corner of Sol’s labor department, editor Kim Yeong Sang, was excluded from the gathering because he might fall for Seol Ah, being a man. If he was annoyed, he should’ve been born a woman or transformed into one.
“The appetizer has arrived.”
Before they knew it, the Korean beef omakase started while exchanging brief chatter. Normally, Jung Min Hei would never afford such a luxury! It was an extravagant course meal treatable only when graciously offered.
‘I must have saved the country in my past life or something.’
Adorable boss, wait, I’m the boss.
Working under an adorable and wealthy streamer, enjoying a blissful work life with rare weekly office visits and mostly remote work, a generous salary, and the opportunity to greet the streamer herself.
Adding to that, she was treated to a high-end Korean beef omakase, something she assumed she’d never experience in a lifetime.
It just didn’t add up without saving the country in her past life.
Jung Min Hei thought so.
She had forgotten entirely that there was one editor who wanted to meet Sol just to be able to work with Min Hei, albeit unnecessarily.
Editor Kim Yeong Sang, fighting spirit!
Work hard, and you might meet Seol Ah, or you might not. Either way, keep fighting!
‘ ‘
“I can’t tell if the food is going through my mouth or my nose.”
“Sister, that hole there is your nose, not your mouth.”
“Ugh!”
Indeed, the smell was too vivid.
If Seol Yun hadn’t intervened, she might have actually stuck food up her nose.
Seeing this, Min Hei burst out laughing.
“Wow, Seol Ah’s sense of humor is great.”
No, it’s not a joke.
I almost put food up my nose!
That would’ve been so embarrassing.
Phew, glad she stopped me.
‘Did she just call her “Seol Ah Assi”? It must be a mishearing.’
These days, who refers to others as “assi” unless they’re from an older generation?
Yes, it must’ve been a mistake.
“I want to go home!”
Though it was the job she chose to mostly stay home, she still had to go out sometimes.
She used to get along well with convenience store staff and movie theater employees.
But for some reason, engaging with apartment security guards always felt difficult.
I guess I still find long-lasting relationships quite stressful.
However…
‘Does this mean I’ve taken another step forward?’
I can’t keep worrying my family forever; that’s true.
‘The disguise wasn’t discovered either. Maybe this is higher quality than I thought?’
Maybe because it’s winter and clothing is thick?
This disguise might actually work on others better than expected.
I feel some self-confidence building!
This is why warriors arm themselves before heading into battle!
I know it’s wrong to deceive others, but please forgive me—I can’t meet people without arming myself like this.
