After several days on the road, Airael and her companions finally arrived at the Elven Royal City.

Outside the Life Temple, Airael stood with Celia and Aurora, gazing ahead.

The guards at the entrance watched the mysteriously dressed trio with a hint of wariness.

“Here, we no longer need to hide ourselves, Celia, Aurora.”

Airael said with a smile.

The three of them took off their hoods.

At the same time, Airael also dispelled her disguise.

The guards at the entrance were taken aback when they recognized their familiar faces.

“I want to see Linis.”

Airael stated to the guards before stepping inside with Celia and Aurora.

Of course, the guards wouldn’t stop them.

“Linis, I’m back!”

Airael pushed the office door open and called to Linis, who was busy inside.

Linis looked up at Airael with a smile, then stood and approached her, saying, “Welcome back, Your Majesty!”

“I’m definitely surprised! Your Majesty, you crossed over in just a year.”

Airael beamed at the compliment, clearly pleased.

She then asked, “So does this mean I’ve passed the trial?”

“You’ve passed, but I’d like to ask what your next plans are, Your Majesty?”

“The first thing I want to do is establish a school!”

“A school?”

“Yes! It means gathering knowledgeable elves like Teacher Domiya to form an organized system and devise a uniform training program for the Elven Race.”

“I don’t fully understand, but it sounds great!”

After a moment’s thought, Linis nodded.

With confirmation, Airael continued, “Linis, training elves is just one function of the school; it has another important role!”

“What is that?”

“R&D! Building on existing knowledge, teachers and outstanding students will explore new knowledge together. Linis, you should have heard about the Dwarves by now.”

Airael’s expression turned serious at the end.

“Mm!”

Linis’s expression also became grave.

“The new weapons the Dwarves have are powerful, and creatures like Vampires have gained new powers too. Thus, we must quickly develop new strengths to face them as they grow even stronger.”

“Speaking of that, we have already made some progress on the new strength.”

Linis smiled at Airael.

“Eh? What progress?”

Airael was quite surprised.

“You’ll find out if you look for Domiya; she’s at the Magic Research Institute in the west of the city.”

“Linis, you’re so sneaky!”

Airael felt a bit displeased by Linis’s teasing.

“Your Majesty, please don’t blame me. It’s just that I can’t explain those things to you; once you see them, you’ll understand. According to Domiya, you should already know about them.”

“I know about them?”

“I understand this, but centralization is no easy task.”

Linis shook her head.

Those Elven Lords are not easy to deal with.

“Although it’s tough, it must be done. For the Elven Race to develop, we must centralize power; only by concentrating our strength can we accomplish great things.”

“Concentrating power to accomplish great things, huh! That sounds just like your school concept!” Linis laughed.

“Linis, will you support me?”

“Everything you do, Your Majesty, is for the good of the Elven Race; naturally, I will support you!”

“Wonderful! With your support, Linis, everything will be much easier!”

Airael’s joy was palpable.

Seeing her happiness, Linis wore a smile as well.

The Elven Race truly needed a transformation.

After their happy moment, Airael grew a bit anxious and said to Linis, “By the way, Linis, I have some personal matters to discuss with you.”

Even though she was the Queen, in a way, Linis acted like her mother.

Noticing Airael’s unusual expression, Linis asked, “What is it?”

“I’m pregnant!”

Airael lowered her head, not daring to meet Linis’s gaze.

“Your Majesty, what did you just say?”

“You said you’re pregnant?”

Linis sighed and asked, “Was someone forcing you?”

Airael shook her head, “No, this is my own idea. I want to have a child, that way I will have an heir.”

But since it had already happened, what could she say? Just accept it calmly.

Linis facepalmed in resignation, “What about the child’s father?”

“I’ve abandoned him!”

“Um—!”

Linis was momentarily at a loss for words.

Having a child was already enough, and now there was a plot twist!

Airael stuck out her little tongue in explanation, “It’s not exactly abandoning; he just had his own matters to attend to, and I have my own things as well, so we mutually decided to part ways.”

“He doesn’t sound like a responsible person.”

Airael nodded, “He may be a bit dull, but he’s certainly a good person.”
