Why would Krul give her such an extravagant gift?

Did he not have any close relatives?

Thinking this, Airael realized that she still knew too little about Krul.

In that case, she truly felt indebted to Krul for his kindness.

Everything Krul had done was undoubtedly worth her cherishing for a lifetime.

“Your Majesty, Lady Domiya wishes to see you.”

Just as Airael was lost in thought, Celia entered the hall and spoke to her.

Upon hearing this, Airael looked at her and said, “Let Teacher Domiya in.”

She focused her mind away from Krul and began to ponder Domiya’s purpose for visiting.

Celia promptly exited, and before long, Domiya walked in.

Compared to her disheveled appearance two days ago, she looked particularly elegant and noble today.

“Teacher Domiya, please take a seat!”

Before Domiya could even utter a word, Airael invited her to sit down in front of her.

“Thank you!”

Domiya expressed her gratitude as she took a seat before Airael.

As soon as she sat down, Airael spoke, “Teacher Domiya, we just met a moment ago, and you’ve come specifically to see me again, there must be something important, right?”

Domiya smiled and complimented her, “Your Majesty, you’re truly clever. Indeed, I have a few matters to discuss with you.”

“What matters?” Airael asked.

She wasn’t particularly concerned about Domiya’s praise.

She didn’t think of herself as that smart; it was just not hard to guess.

Thus, she perceived Domiya’s compliment as mere politeness and not to be taken too seriously.

“It’s related to the doubts that Your Majesty had just now,” Domiya continued smiling.

“You know what I was thinking?” Airael asked curiously.

“That’s not difficult to guess! Your Majesty suddenly receiving a grand gift would definitely make you wonder why such a gift has come your way,” Domiya responded with a smile.

Her words were somewhat vague, but she believed their Queen would certainly understand the meaning behind them.

Airael indeed understood, and then she directly asked, “So, can you tell me the reason, Teacher Domiya?”

“I can share part of the reason with you.”

“Just part?”

“Exactly. Because saying too much wouldn’t benefit you at this moment, Your Majesty.”

“Alright! Then please tell me that part of the reason.”

Domiya looked at the very obedient Airael and smiled, saying, “Your Majesty, everything you see right now is actually Krul’s own choice.”

For this, Airael felt genuinely pleased.

Smart, perceptive, and able to know when to stop.

Though it sounded simple, it was sufficient to stump most beings.

“What does that mean?” Airael furrowed her brows.

“I can’t say too much, Your Majesty. For now, you just need to know this and accept Krul’s legacy with peace of mind. In this matter, it was his choice alone. No elf forced him, nor could any elf force him. The details will reveal themselves to you when the time is right.”

“Okay! I understand.”

Airael sighed and looked down.

With Domiya having said this much, what more could she add?

However, not being able to discuss this matter further didn’t mean she couldn’t ask about other things.

Her mind raced, and Airael looked at Domiya and asked, “Teacher Domiya, do you know Krul well?”

Domiya shook her head, replying, “While Krul and I are both elves from the same era, we aren’t very familiar with each other; my understanding of him isn’t much.”

“But you must have a general idea, right?” Airael pressed on.

“What do you wish to know, Your Majesty? If I can answer, I will,” Domiya asked directly, having sensed Airael’s intentions.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, Airael smiled shyly and then said, “I want to know if Krul has any relatives still alive.”

In response, Domiya said, “Krul has a younger brother, but that brother isn’t a good sort, and no one has mentioned him in years.”

Airael was left with question marks on her face.

Domiya explained, “His brother is a Dark Elf!”

“A Dark Elf?”

That familiar yet strange term piqued Airael’s curiosity.

“Those guys are the criminals of the Elven Race. Having committed unforgivable crimes, they were exiled from the elven land and must wander the world. To distinguish them from the elves of Avalon, the term ‘Dark Elf’ was coined.”

After understanding, Airael nodded and asked, “So what exactly did Krul’s brother do?”

Domiya suddenly wore a mysterious smile.

This only heightened Airael’s curiosity.

“Your Majesty, do you truly wish to know?”

Airael nodded eagerly.

She really wanted to find out.

She had been thinking about how she might help Krul in this matter.

After all, he was her brother; Krul wouldn’t want him to remain an exile, unable to return home!

Moreover, having the derogatory label of “Dark Elf” attached to him was adding insult to injury.

“He offended Linis,” Domiya said with a playful squint.

It looked quite comical.

“He offended Linis? How did he do that?” Airael was surprised that it involved Linis.

“Just that!”

“Which one?”

“Just that thing between men and women!”

Seeing Airael’s confusion, Domiya straightforwardly clarified.

Airael’s face instantly turned beet red.

So it was that kind of offense!

Just now, she was guessing that Krul’s brother had provoked Linis’s authority!

But come to think of it, that was also a sort of provocation against Linis’s authority.

After all, to dare do that to Linis, who was like a ruler, he truly didn’t take her seriously.

For this, Airael felt a bit of admiration for him.

To dare act that way towards someone akin to Linis was a kind of courage that was indeed praiseworthy.

“The Elven Race takes love very seriously. Although Krul’s brother liked Linis immensely, she had no feelings for him. Once he decided to act on his feelings, regardless of success or failure, his fate was pretty much sealed.”

At this point, Domiya suddenly seemed a bit regretful.

She mused that if only Krul’s brother had truly managed to win over Linis, things would have become quite interesting.
