Chapter 60: Being a child is actually quite nice.

The movie “Biohazard Crisis 2: Revelation” is a very classic adaptation of a game, and in Mei Fang’s heart, it ranks among the top three must-watch films in this series.

To better observe Mei Fang’s movie-watching experience, Xia Yuan specifically asked Mei Fang to sit in the middle of the sofa and patted his shoulder with a teasing tone.

“If you’re scared, you can hold onto the sisters on both sides.”

“Should I start now?”

Lin You Xi was holding the remote control and pressed play after receiving permission.

Before Mei Fang could finish, a zombie eating a female reporter suddenly appeared on the TV screen. The loud sound of the reporter being eaten scared Xia Yuan into screaming, while Lin You Xi buried her head in Mei Fang’s waist, causing him to scream in pain as well.

“This movie is so scary! Since everyone is scared, let’s stop watching, okay?”

“I’m not scared,” Mei Fang tried to distance himself from the situation.

“You were screaming so loudly!”

“That’s because Lin You Xi was pinching me!”

“No, I wasn’t!”

Lin You Xi lied without changing her expression.

“Let’s not watch anymore, I’m so sleepy… Ah Fang, I want to sleep. Youxi, don’t you want to sleep too?”

Mei Fang interrupted before Lin You Xi could respond, “We’ve come this far, there can’t be much left. How can you sleep without finishing?”

“I agree…” Lin You Xi kept her hand on Mei Fang’s waist but didn’t squeeze anymore, “Let’s finish it, Yuan Yuan.”

“Yeah…”

Xia Yuan reluctantly let Mei Fang continue playing the movie.

“This isn’t a scary movie. Look, the female lead has superpowers, and the teammates are strong too. If we really want to watch a scary movie, mine is below this one…”

“Shh, don’t talk!”

Mei Fang’s excited introduction was interrupted, but he didn’t feel offended. Instead, he felt a bit nostalgic.

Being with them makes me feel a bit childish…

Lin You Xi nodded, “I agree. It feels a bit anticlimactic. Maybe they rushed to finish it. With such a strong boss, they could have added more scenes.”

“Alright, alright!”

Mei Fang’s excitement was just beginning, “Next, we should watch ‘Silent Ridge.’ Don’t forget we have a bet!”

“Oh… Do we have to? Ah Fang, I really don’t want to watch anymore, I’m so tired.”

Xia Yuan rubbed her eyes, “I’m tired and sleepy. I just want to sleep.”

Lin You Xi nodded in agreement, “Tomorrow, Ah Fang. We’ve already watched two movies today, let’s digest them!”

Mei Fang took a deep breath, looking somewhat disappointed.

After washing up, Xia Yuan and Lin You Xi went to the master bedroom with pillows, while Mei Fang returned to his room.

Just as he was about to close his eyes, the door knocked suddenly.

Mei Fang jumped out of bed in shock.

Damn, that scared me!

Entering were Lin You Xi and Xia Yuan.

“Ah Fang…”

“Why aren’t you two sleeping? What are you doing here?”

“Ah Fang… We can’t sleep.”

Xia Yuan pinched her nose and looked around, “Your room doesn’t have an air conditioner. It’s hot at night. Why don’t you come sleep in our room?”

“That wouldn’t be appropriate,” Mei Fang shook his head, “I’m a guy.”

“What are you thinking? You can definitely lay a mat, or… I and You Xi can lay a mat together. What do you think?”

“Come over quickly.”

Lin You Xi spoke succinctly, staring coldly at Mei Fang with an expression that said she wouldn’t give up unless he came.

“Fine, I’ll lay a mat.”

Unable to resist the two girls, Mei Fang followed them to the master bedroom.

Xia Yuan and Lin You Xi helped Mei Fang set up the mat and found pillows for him.

“This should do…”

Mei Fang looked at Xia Yuan and Lin You Xi sitting side by side on the bed, “Can we turn off the lights now?”

“Wait, wait! Why turn off the lights so early?”

Xia Yuan wrapped herself and Lin You Xi tightly in a blanket, “Let’s chat about something else before we sleep.”

Mei Fang thought for a moment and smiled slightly, “How about… telling a ghost story?”

“You want to die!”

Xia Yuan and Lin You Xi threw pillows at Mei Fang’s face. After some playful chatter, everyone finally felt sleepy.

Mei Fang turned off the light quietly. On the bed, Xia Yuan and Lin You Xi were mumbling softly.

Seeing them settle down, Mei Fang tiptoed towards the door, ready to sneak out. But he heard faint murmurs.

“Afang… Don’t leave… Please don’t leave…”

Mei Fang paused for a moment, unable to tell whose voice it was.

After a moment of silence, he decided to return to his room.

Though it was a bit warm outside, it wasn’t unbearable.

Mei Fang leaned against the chair, looking up at the starry sky, a beautiful night scene he could still see in 2008.

If it were a few years later, he might never see the stars again.

Time passes too quickly…

Mei Fang sighed deeply, emitting a long, lingering sigh.

Being a child is actually quite nice.
