Chapter 54

After achieving WFK, daily life in Leore has changed.

Usually, when I enter dungeons for daily and weekly quests, people recognize me once every 10 runs. Now, almost every run, someone recognizes me.

When people meet me, they ask to take screenshots together, making me feel like a celebrity.

Of course, it’s all thanks to the “Abyss The WFK” title next to my name, but it still makes me feel proud.

While doing the WFK race, I put everything else aside for 11 days, and now I’m starting to tackle the backlog.

First, I resumed the rehabilitation training I had neglected for 11 days because of the raids.

Honestly, I didn’t even have time to shower, but the doctor stayed late and came in the evening to help me shower after raids.

Even now, the doctor is helping me with my rehabilitation training and carrying me into the bathroom.

Prosthetic arm and leg rehabilitation. Last time, I had improved enough to move a finger, but after 11 days of the Leore WFK race, I’m back to square one.

Weird. In novels or comics, wouldn’t moving a lot in a virtual reality game help with this kind of thing?

Lately, I’ve been showering quickly due to lack of time, but today the doctor said we’re doing a full-course bath.

But I always wonder, isn’t this something a caregiver should do, not the doctor?

If I take a half-bath alone, I’d obviously drown, so I always go in with the doctor. I asked the doctor while being carried into the tub.

Slowly, I opened my stiff mouth.

“Why… is the doctor… doing this… instead of… a caregiver…”

Before I could finish, the doctor hugged me tightly.

“Ah… um… it’s because the doctor really likes Arang!”

Hmm… It’s definitely a tough and difficult job.

It’s been quite some time since I started living as Arang. About two months? During those two months, aside from playing Leore, I spent half my time with the doctor and the other half with Anna.

Taking care of someone without limbs is hard, even for someone who loves them.

But the doctor takes such good care of me, treating me and investing most of their time in me.

Do they even go home?

I feel a bit sorry because they’re so young and pretty, yet they spend so much time with me.

Or maybe they’re paid an insane amount of money?

That seems likely.

Kang Hangeul is going through the busiest time of his life as a YouTuber and streamer.

After achieving WFK, the next day, he started receiving an insane amount of emails.

No, not just emails—every contact he left was flooded like a tsunami.

Normally, these emails should go to the raid leader, Arang, but Arang’s contact info is nowhere to be found.

Moreover, after the initial hacking and illegal modification incident, Arang set her account to only receive whispers from friends, making it impossible to contact her outside of Leore.

Because of this, many people wanting interviews or coverage about the Arang Arang raid party, which defeated the Mea’d raid party that had achieved WFK three times in a row, ended up contacting Kang Hangeul.

Kang Hangeul, along with his manager, is overwhelmed trying to figure out how to handle all this.

First, he obviously needs to discuss it with Arang.

As soon as he logged in in the morning, he met Arang and talked about the profits and contacts from the WFK race.

“I’ll leave it all to you, Uncle! I hate dealing with annoying stuff!”

With that, Arang dashed off to run dungeons faster than anyone else, leaving Kang Hangeul to sigh deeply.

“This is a disaster…”

All the tasks he was supposed to do are now paralyzed by WFK-related contacts.

His phone number is already leaked, and he’s had to keep his phone off for three days.

“How am I supposed to handle all this…”

He can’t even tell which contacts are important.

Even now, as contacts keep pouring in, Kang Hangeul is trying to go through them one by one to make the most of the global attention.

“Hangeul.”

Mozzawaper, his friend who joined the WFK race, showed up.

“What’s up? You’re early. Perfect, help me out with this.”

“With what?”

“Look at this.”

Kang Hangeul showed Mozzawaper his inbox, where at least 30 new emails appear with every refresh.

“Wow, is this the power of WFK? Man, I still get fired up thinking about when Arang did that 1v1 Makkora.”

“Exactly, so help me read these emails.”

“Ah, sorry, but I came to add one more email to your pile.”

“Ugh… really? So what is it? Wait, don’t tell me…”

“Yep, that’s right. You know I have a friend in the Mea’d raid party, right?”

“Don’t tell me Mea’d has a request for us?”

“Their leader, Reina, wants to meet Arang.”

“Meet Arang? Our servers aren’t even merged yet. How? By coming to Korea and using a Korean access device?”

“No, she wants to come to Korea and meet Arang in person.”

“W-wait, in person?”

“Yeah, she wants to meet Arang. Hangeul, you’ve met Arang a few times, right?”

“Once.”

“She’s planning to visit Korea and wants to meet Arang then. She’s not forcing it, just asking if you can pass the message along.”

This is a disaster.

As soon as Kang Hangeul heard Mozzawaper’s story, he thought.

Now that this has come up, I have to tell Arang. It’s absolutely not okay to make decisions without her.

Knowing Arang, she’ll definitely say, “Really? I’d love to!”

Hanging out with Arang? Of course, it’s fun and heartwarming to see the cute, squishy Arang.

But the feeling I had when I first saw Arang… it still sends chills down my spine.

“Hmm… I should offer my condolences to Reina.”

“Alright, I’ll talk to Arang directly and let you know if it’s okay.”

“Great, thanks. And good luck with the emails!”

“Hey! Where are you going? Hey!!!”

Mozzawaper ran off after delivering his message, leaving Kang Hangeul clutching the back of his neck.

[WFK Commemorative Arang Arang Guild Gathering Notice]

Hello.

We created this guild to enjoy raiding together, and thanks to everyone’s efforts, we’ve achieved WFK.

We’re really happy and excited!

To celebrate, we’d like to meet up and share the fun stories from the WFK and our guild activities, hoping to grow even closer!

Considering those who live far away, we’re deciding on a date and time for the gathering.

The location is already set!

[Gathering Date Vote]

[Gathering Time Vote]

Attendance will be confirmed once the date and time are set.

“I hope everyone can make it…”

Lying on the couch in the guild house, I checked the guild chat again.

I know not everyone can attend due to real-life commitments, which is a shame.

Even during this raid, I wished all our guild members could join, but some couldn’t due to real-life issues.

So, I hope we can find a date that works for everyone.

Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding.

The guild chat notifications started going off.

Everyone’s discussing the gathering. We’ve set the date from early to mid-September so even working guild members can make time.

The location, considering the large number of people, is naturally set at the lounge on the first floor of the building where I met Baedeokgae.

It’s spacious with plenty of activities, so even if Uncle Kang Hangeul, Uncle Mozzawaper, and all the guild members come, it’ll be comfortable.

I can’t wait for the gathering day~

Ding.

A different notification from the guild chat popped up—a whisper from Uncle Kang Hangeul.

He says we need to talk.

Oh no, is he mad because I dumped everything on him and ran off? Thankfully, no.

Reina, the leader of the Mea’d raid party, is visiting Korea and wants to meet me, the leader of the Arang Arang raid party that achieved WFK.

Uncle Kang Hangeul is asking how I feel about it.

Of course, I’m welcoming.

The leader of the Mea’d raid party, which achieved WFK five times, is a female player?

I’m curious.

Watching their tries yesterday, their tactics and pattern analysis were really impressive.

Honestly, if it weren’t for the parrying exploit, Mea’d would’ve definitely gotten the WFK.

I immediately said I’d love to meet her.
