Forty-Fifth Grasp the Moment!
Thunder, completely composed of magic, did not need to follow the rules of physics. Like a reanimated bolt of lightning, it flowed like a snake along the insulating road toward the rapidly retreating Ash. The combination of magnetic lightning was Magwitch Lina’s plan against Kamen Rider. Whether he wanted to continue dodging or defending, it was already too late.
Lightning instantly adhered to the armor made of mystical powers. Magwitch Lina’s magic disrupted the energy flow within, freezing Ash’s joints in place. Seizing this opportunity, more lightning was directed toward the Kamen Rider.
“Crack! Boom!” As chaos broke out, countless tiny explosions erupted from the cracks in his armor, like a continuous string of firecrackers.
Experiencing a heavy blow and action-restricted, Ash attempted to speak when lightning suddenly leaked through the gaps in his armor, striking him directly.
“Grr-ah!”
His words turned into incoherent babbling. Under unimaginable volts, the man’s once robust muscles became rigid, barely holding onto the trembling hilt of the holy sword. Fully electrified, Ash could not break free from the lightning’s hold.
Seeing her ploy succeed, Magwitch Lina let out an ecstatic cackle as she concentrated a massive, dark force ball between her hands. With the thunder drawing closer, she hurled it towards Ash.
“Can you still withstand such an attack?!”
“Yah—” From头顶炸响的万钧雷声 let Mio scream and cover her ears. Dense black clouds pressed down, casting darkness over everything visible, while unsettling black clouds flashed ominously.
In the next second, the unnatural blue lightning amassed its strength. Shimmering with power, it truly roared like a giant dragon, roaring thunder striking the knight on the ground with world-shocking intensity.
Though his entire body tensed like ice needles, gritting his teeth and stopping saliva from dripping, Akira clumsily flipped the cracked blank magical book in his hand.
Though原先借助光与暗之力的计划泡汤了, but he believed some residual power remained inside. If used to absorb the attack—
Darkness tore through reality and world-illuminating lightning crashed down. Gigantic “Boom!” with deafening sound and terrifying flashlights submerged Akira.
“Mr. Ash—!”
Even blindingly bright light scorched her eyes, Mio couldn’t see a thing. Yet, she screamed, calling desperately for the man.
Please, don’t die! If you’re okay, I beg you, please respond to me!
Gritting her aching eyes, standing on a platform, the trembling girl looked over and breathed relief to not see the worst outcome.
Unimaginable magical thunder turned a whole street around Ash into a hellish scene of meteoric destruction. Even nearby steel warehouses melted and burned from the intense heat. On the only safe spot amidst the melting concrete stood the Kamen Rider, billowing white smoke rising from his body like steaming off hot water!
“What?!” Magwitch Lina stared in disbelief, sweat instantly breaking out on her forehead. “You are still alive?!”
I’m in a young, transformed state where my magic output is several times greater than normal! Though I didn’t use the ultimate technique, the full-powered attack earlier surely should have left no biological survivors. What happened, this isn’t scientific!
“Heh, do I get another chance here?”
Lightning continued dancing around beneath Ash’s helmet, a distorted grin spreading across his face. Dark smoke escaped through the seams under his helmet jawline.
Wang Jian’s transforming armor had been formed by the power of the [Evil Dragon], capable of withstanding the fierce attacks of Migido and the other holy swords. However, facing Magwitch Lina’s unavoidable super-charged lightning magic, it pushed his defenses to their limits.
That lightning of at least street-level explosive strength earlier would likely have killed him, had he not quickly absorbed with Atemon Dark Moon’s darkness consuming the lightning theme and then utilizing the book to absorb massive energy.
The heated blank rider book fell from Ash’s hand. No one noticed this, but as it hit the ground, some mystical power from the fantastical world seeped out through the cracks in the thick book.
“Because of my complacency, perhaps?”
Atemon Dark Moon could reflect outcomes but not processes, so despite knowing the future, Ash couldn’t leverage this advantage in battle, or else there’d be no way he’d be caught on the back foot. This function is indeed rather futile.
But who would have thought that one day I’d fall for such a simple trap? Really, this makes me shed no tears now.
“Hmph, if once was not enough!” Seeing Ash wasn’t fully retreating, the poised Magwitch Lina regained her malicious appearance, erasing apparent confusion.
“So I will try again and again. Knight, how many more times can your armor protect you?”
“…..”
Facing Magwitch Lina’s electrifying fingertips, Ash glanced at the incessant sparks near his feet, silently standing up.
This land was filled with electromagnetic effects due to her previous attack; weren’t you now firmly in enemy territory?
Dealing with this, the optimal solution was to defeat the mage and resolve everything. But the problem was that the attacker could unleash unavoidable strikes. Even if trying other tools to survive, lightning could simultaneously breach armor defenses and interrupt any other actions!
Damn, trapped in a circular deadlock, this feels beyond ridiculous now.
If… if we hold her off even a second, I believe I might —heh, during combat, where do we get such perfect opportunities?!
“Boom—!”
Equally unexpected, right as Ash began mocking himself, a pile of steel originally hanging overhead suddenly plummeted.
“Wha–?!”
Exclaiming, Magwitch Lina raised her hand, sinking deep magic to halt tons of steel in mid-air.
“Phew….” Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, in the moment she turned her head, her eyes filled with fright while Wang Jian grew proportionately larger in her vision.
“I have waited ages for this moment—!!”
Sweet tones of blowing echoed.
Amidst her terror, only golden blade’s endless radiance could be seen.
“Krr—Ksh—”
First, a crisp splitting of some solid yet fragile object was heard. Next, the precise and delightful sound of an edge piercing flesh.
Fine bloodlines sprayed along the steel pinned mid-air and shattered magic barrier.
Ash’s holy sword first crushed Magwitch Lina’s magical barrier, then struck her squarely. Sword cut through black threads at her chest. Instinctively recoiling helped her escape a fatal strike, the intended decapitating sword instead pierced her chest.
This guy — even after such injury, how can she move so violently!
Staring wide-eyed, Magwitch Lina fully grasped the incident before her.
Seething from immense pain, eyes wide with shock, blood spurted like a fountain from her chest. An alarming, bleeding gash extended across it.
Bloodlike jade beads slid along the wound, staining green robe and tight black fabric, dropping to the ground like red blossoms.
