Chapter 522. Stormy Night.
Anyway, after shouting something like, “Princess Luka’s personality(?) is amazing!!!” in that manner.
It was only after being possessed here for a full four years that I finally decided to assemble a proper “faction dispatch team.”
Of course, Jessica, among others, reacted to my actions.
“Commander Icarus, are you finally going to use this side?”
“…Hmm.”
“It’s been quite delayed.”
I received a subtle look from Oxianor, as if to say, “You caught on quickly,” but still.
Anyway, under those gazes, the so-called “real” monster faction dispatch team I assembled was roughly as follows…
—————————————–
[Status of Commander ‘Icarus’s Faction Dispatch Team]
[Faction: ‘Space Monster’]
[Available Rental Points: 550/550]
[Current Fleet Rental Status: No Issues]
[Fleet Composition]
˪[5 Battleships]
˪[10 Heavy Cruisers]
˪[3 Light Cruisers]
˪[30 Assault Ships]
˪[40 Destroyers]
˪[52 Patrol Ships]
—————————————–
‘Perfect.’
It perfectly embodied the concept that comes to mind when you think of a “fleet.”
“Hmm, just the right level.”
“The balance between large and small ships is spot on.”
“Indeed, this will be quite useful when fighting with mercenaries.”
“Right.”
I nodded in satisfaction at the surprisingly good combination.
However, there was one subtle issue with this fleet…
“By the way, Commander, who’s going to command the fleet?”
“Huh?”
“Well, of course, I’ll do it. It’s the ‘Monster Faction Dispatch Team,’ so naturally, I should.”
“Oh, I see.”
That’s right.
Unlike the “hobby fleet” we’ve been using so far, this fleet could only be operated by Oxianor systemically.
The problem was, while our Oxianor is an all-around superhuman capable of close combat, long-range combat, internal infiltration prevention, surveillance, adjutant duties, and more…

[Oxianor]
[Level 58]
[Type: All-Rounder]
[Traits: Monster, Artillery, Biological Mutation, All-Purpose Cells, Area Control, Enhanced Control Abilities]
[Stats]
Health: S-
Attack Power: SS+
Physical Defense: SSS-
Magic Power: A
Magic Defense: SS
Mobility: C-
—————————————-
“But Commander Icarus, unfortunately, I’m not good at fleet operations, so please understand.”
“Ugh.”
Even though his stats have improved and increased in various ways compared to before…
‘I don’t know fleet command, lel.’
Our Oxianor was absolutely incapable of fleet operations, to the point where such a phrase naturally came to mind.
“Come to think of it, the reason the fleet balance is so appropriate might be because of that.”
“Yeah, right.”
Of course, Oxianor, the person in question, must feel somewhat unfairly treated, but honestly, it’s not entirely wrong.
Oxianor, standing nearby, displayed a complex mix of emotions on his face, revealing a rather intricate state of mind.
But as Jessica said, the structure of the faction dispatch team was literally the kind that appears when the “commander” doesn’t know how to command a fleet.

Title: Tip) How to Understand Faction Dispatch Team Structure.txt

It’s very simple, so let’s briefly go over it.
Basically, it’s random, but not exactly.
Right before you recruit faction dispatch team ships, you have a faction envoy in your base, right?
Check their stat window.
If you see a “commander” trait embedded, a specialized fleet tailored to that faction’s tendencies will pop out.
And if the commander has additional command-related traits?
Then a separate fleet matching those traits will appear.
But here, everyone will wonder.
“Our envoy doesn’t have any command traits and is just a fighter or buffer, so what happens then?”
In this case, what happens is…
A truly thoroughly balanced, ordinary fleet emerges.
[Proof that the envoy has no command-related traits.jpg]
[The fleet organized with that envoy as the commander, a perfectly balanced fleet.jpg]
[Proof that the envoy has mobility-related and attack-related command traits and the ‘Commander’ trait.jpg]
[A fleet specialized in mobility and attack, matching the above traits.jpg]
Here’s the proof.
Comments:
– [Ah, so it wasn’t completely random after all]
– [Exactly, it’s random but it aligns with tendencies] (OP)
– [Ah, so you’re saying there’s no chance of getting a siege-type fleet with an envoy who knows nothing?]
– [Haven’t seen that happen, probably due to balance issues] (OP)
– [Interesting story]
– [Wait, wasn’t it supposed to be completely random or the faction just grows on its own?]
– [It changed a while ago, about 3 years before we got here?] (OP)
– [3 and a half years, so it’s been a long time] (OP)
– [Ah, okay]

Reading the Wiki tab further confirmed my thoughts.
I nodded in agreement and decided to welcome the Monster Faction’s dispatch team in this new(?) way.
==========
And while I was doing that…
“Wait a minute, now that I think about it, that’s why the Monster Faction was so confident.”
I realized something new at this point.
Well, it’s a bit awkward to say this, but…
“Even though the Monster Fleet’s strength is ridiculously small compared to the other two factions, there was a reason they were so bold.”
“Right? From the Monster’s perspective, they even attached the Princess’s personal fleet directly.”
As Jessica said, Marian’s Pirate Alliance (including the flagship Eclipse and part of the Armada, totaling 100,000 ships) and the Earth Federation (with the Leviathan Fleet double event, their provisional government + their own base) were around, yet they proudly flaunted with just 20 battleships + some extras.
Realizing that they could mobilize additional forces at any time, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe toward the Monsters.
==========
Anyway, doing all sorts of miscellaneous things like that…
Though it lacked impact compared to Pashtira and Lephan…
“Hey, how about it, Commander…?”
“Is this the diagonal quad-core you wanted, oppa?”
“Oh.”
Still, thanks to being in the top ranks with pirate and adjutant pockets, Marian and Jessica performed a seductive diagonal quad-core attack while playing around.
Living a seemingly busy yet leisurely and idyllic life for about a week after the 4th Anniversary Event ended, or more precisely, about a month and a little over a week later.
“Peaceful.”
-Slurp-
As always, sipping on Earl Grey tea with sugar cubes made by Jessica, I was relaxing at that very moment.

[Global Announcement]
<<[New Event Notice!]>>
[A message for all Commanders!]
[One week from now, the ‘Grand Cross’ event and other updates will be rolled out!]
[Detailed information about the event will be posted in tomorrow’s announcement, so stay tuned!]

‘Whoaaaa.’
With over a month since the last event, it was about time for a new update.
Seeing the announcement of a new event naturally popping up, I felt a surge of excitement.
But that feeling was short-lived.
“…Jessica, have you ever heard of something called the Grand Cross?”
“No, this is the first time I’m hearing about it.”
Realizing that this event was from a time before I existed, unlike the ones I had experienced before, I immediately set everything else aside and opened the Wiki tab to quickly gather information.
