Extra Case File 51 Tragic Day for Wild Flower
Today was the day of the press conference for my good friend, Shizuka Asajimi’s latest movie, “New Metal Hero.”
Father and Mother couldn’t make it because they had work that day, and Little Bird, who normally wouldn’t have an issue attending, suddenly said she also had something to do after giving us the invitation with a strange look. I asked her why, but her gaze seemed so piercing…
Besides those invited, like Yu and Himizuki who have risen again, there were supposed to be many well-known figures in the industry. Even though I didn’t recognize any of them, I absolutely could not let my good friend down! Today, an important day for a close friend, I had to make sure I wasn’t late!
Wild Flower went to sleep with such determination, only to realize when the sun hit her face and she wiped away the drool from her mouth.
She definitely overslept spectacularly.
“Ah—”
Splashing some water on her face and hastily eating a piece of bread made her choke to the point her eyes bulged.
Struggling to put on the red dress, she tripped over the hem, hit her head, and then stumbled, hitting her toe as she hopped on one foot to the front door, only to roll her ankle right after putting on high heels.
“Uuuh—This hurts!”
“What’s this woman doing?”
Ash probably took some wrong medicine if he thinks he could fall for her. Her face is so unattractive, she’d never get married…
Wild Bird looked on disdainfully.
The embarrassing older sister stumbled out in an ungraceful manner.
“You said you’d wait for me, yet you kept me waiting this long. Impressive, Miss Wild Flower. You should be proud.”
Stepping out the door, a voice calling her full name made her body tremble.
“Hmph, who said not to be late again?”
“Th-they’re sorry!” Realizing the oppressive presence, she quickly straightened up and bowed deeply at a 90-degree angle, looking up to see the man obscured by his dark bangs.
“I overslept due to being too nervous…”
“Is that an excuse? If you slept through, didn’t you think about hurrying up? Too slow!” Ash stood before Wild Flower, coldly criticizing her without mercy. “Think about the Ultra heroes. Would the special task force be okay lounging around if monsters destroyed the Earth multiple times? If so, just let Interstellar Defense be handled by the Land of Light.”
“But Ash, the doctor, came so early—why didn’t you wake me up?”
“What are you talking about.” Ash’s eyes glimmered strangely. “You’re a woman, I’m a man. Men and women should keep their distance; I can’t barge into a woman’s room.”
“…..”
Well, he’s done all sorts of things to me, not treating me like a woman before. Now this?
Thinking he would reprimand her, instead, he sighed, tapped her slightly curled pink hair, and supported her as she limped with her twisted ankle towards the car.
“Really… you didn’t even comb your hair after getting up,” sighed Ash, pointing to a light yellow vehicle decorated with an unbelievable symbol. “I wanted to take you on my motorcycle… forget it, go tidy your hair in the backseat. It’s all messy now.”
“Cha-cha—chaos?” Rushing to check herself in the rearview mirror, Wild Flower saw her hair in disarray, crying out as she ran to the back seat.
“Ash, please, hurry up a little!”
Tying her hair into a pretty ponytail behind her back, Wild Flower glanced at the time, feeling extremely anxious.
“We don’t have time left, we need to go faster!”
“Want to go faster? Then buckle up. Haven’t heard anyone ask me to drive fast for ages.”
Ready to comply, Ash gave her a troubling smile.
“So, a shortcut?”
“Will we make it in a shortcut?”
“Don’t forget, I used to be the King of Small Cars in TPC! They couldn’t beat me!”
Performing intricate maneuvers, speeding up, the car swerved, leaving two tire marks as they flew off in a wild rush.
“Ash, stop your fantasies—Iya iya! What are you doing!?”
“No, my ponytail—is standing straight up!?”
“Aren’t you going for the shortcut? I’m walking on walls!”
“Not you too!”
—The dividing line between Ash’s driving skills—
“Is that Ash and Flower?”
Watching from inside the taxi, Yu and Himizuki watched the two cars flying past in a whirlwind, laughing madly, and the tearstained pink-haired woman hanging out the window.
“Who else could it be?”
“Y-yes…”
“We’ve arrived… but we still have time, right?” Satisfied with the time, Ash nodded and smiled back at the woman.
“Oh, use the button if you want to vomit, don’t dirty the car.”
“Guh…”
Finally able to exit the car after permission, Flower collapsed against a corner to vomit up a rainbow of colors in shame.
How embarrassing…
