Chapter 503. Now, the base is at level 10!!! (2)
And shortly after.
The user named Mithril, due to the content being too long, started posting the information in chapters.

First of all, I’m still far from reaching level 10, so keep in mind that this is based solely on memory.
First, the ‘Large Ship Modification Facility’ is a really cool thing.
Apart from attaching ‘equipment’ that we use, it allows us to modify the ship itself to the extreme within limits.
For example, removing all weapons and just slapping on shield systems.
Or conversely, removing all armor plates and just adding weapons.
Especially since, unlike in games, here users can modify as much as they want during Expo events, making it even more awesome.
Looking at support-type superhumans among users, they can modify various things.
But as ships get bigger, modifications take too much time and effort, often leading to giving up.
But with this facility, even large ships can be modified in an instant.
Comments:
-[Hehe]
-[I’ve always wanted to make a pure tanking ship by removing all turrets]
-[Oh, does this mean we can modify gacha ships and everything else to be super cool?]
-[Kuuuuu, so freaking cool]

Next, besides the ship modification facility, there are other facilities.
These are buildings that utilize the technological prowess of the existing four major factions.
I don’t remember the details, so here’s a brief summary:
[Autonomous Evolving Biological Mutation Platform]
There’s performance enhancement for monster ships and monster-type superhumans, but that’s just decorative.
The actual use is for biological modifications of superhumans or ships belonging to the Monster Force.
[Multi-Dimensional Phase Conversion Modification Collective]
For performance enhancement of Xenobia-type ships and superhumans.
Also upgrades ship warp performance and speed.
Additionally, it allows the use of Xenobia’s unique shield system.
Of course, it’s inferior to genuine Xenobia ships.
[Autonomous Tactical Drone Development and Control Matrix]
This is one of the Earth Federation’s attempts to cope with the limitations of relying solely on big guns and thick armor.
It allows the deployment of unmanned drones to escort big ships with drone swarms or repair ship armor with nanomachine systems.
It looks quite different from the Earth Federation style we know.
But given the late-game Earth Federation settings, including the Ouroboros-class, they were desperate to try anything beyond just big guns and armor.
[Outlaw Alliance Contact Office]
This is just the Pirate Alliance, with enhancements for Pirate Alliance ships and superhumans.
It doesn’t provide additional equipment or research, but it does offer discounts and enhancements for hired mercenary groups or base mercenary groups.
Additionally, you can hire one more mercenary group here.
Oh, and building these four buildings often triggers quests from commanders.
Completing these quests gives decent rewards, so keep that in mind.
And finally, for those who skimmed through and just scrolled down, here’s a tribute image.

-[Kyaaaaaaa]
-[WTF, sudden terror image]
-[I read carefully but the last thing was so shocking I can’t remember the content]
-˪[That was also part of my plan](Author)
-˪[You bastard]
-[That’s hot, how do I download it?]
-˪[Hey]
-[It’s a toad dance]
-[What did those who were reading normally do to deserve this visual terror?]

-˪[Damn, your wiki posts aren’t working because of this]

Although I suffered unexpected visual terror due to that user’s antics.
The important thing is that through these two information posts, I got quite useful information.
I judged that even though it consumes a lot of resources, it would bring sufficient returns.
I thought I heard something.
But right after I made that judgment.
Another regular user, no, a veteran user, pointed out the ‘info post’ of that particular user, and their post was also highlighted in the featured section.
The only saving grace was that it wasn’t outright refuting the content of the info post.

Title: There are a few things missing from that info post.
Author: Kaeas
Content: [Image of a toad raising one finger with sparkling eyes]
It’s not a lot, just a few things.
First, there’s no mention of ship modification facilities, so other users might get confused.
Those gacha ships can’t be modified.
Only regular-grade ships can be modified.
And the modification limit is only within the ship’s ‘original maximum limit.’
Oh, and there’s something else.
The mercenary groups that the Lawless Alliance can hire on their own are only possible within the same fleet points as the user base where the building is constructed.
This doesn’t change even if you consume the Pirate Empress.

Comments:
– [What does ‘only within the maximum limit’ mean?]
– [It means you can’t exceed the maximum armament or armor that the ship can handle.] (Author)
– [???]
– [You can’t mount a Dreadnought’s main turret or armor on a Patrol Ship, nor can you mount a Patrol Ship’s power source on a Dreadnought.] (Author)
– [It’s too big for the ship’s hull to mount.] (Author)
– [Ah, I see.]
– [But isn’t it possible to remove the main turret and replace it with secondary turrets or VLS launchers?]
– [Yeah, it’s possible. If needed, you can even deck it out with barrier systems like the ones shown at the expo.] (Author)
– [Oh.]
– [Isn’t there also the option to deck out a battleship with aircraft hangars, like an armored carrier?]
– [You can do it, but is it really necessary?] (Author)
– [That last bit is interesting, so it’s completely impossible?]
– [Yeah.] (Author)
– [Before I got possessed here, I tried consuming the Empress, but it seems like it’s completely blocked by the system.] (Author)
– [Got it, thanks.]

‘These are some very interesting stories.’
With the info post from the user Mithril and the additional info post from Kaeas, I felt like there was enough cross-verification.
So, I immediately opened the base management window again and decided to check the resource status with Jessica.
“Magical Jessica, Jessica, tell me the resource status.”
“…1.4 million minerals and 650,000 rare resources.”
“Excellent.”
I realized that even if I proceeded with a level 10 upgrade that consumes over 10 million in total minerals and rare resources, it wouldn’t be a big problem…
So, a little while later.

[Base Level 10 Upgrade in Progress…]
[Time Remaining Until Completion: 45 days 22 hours 18 minutes 59 seconds]

I immediately pressed the level 10 upgrade button, anticipating the upcoming large-scale performance enhancement system.
At the same time, I felt a different kind of excitement knowing that Grigri and Nero Nero would be thrilled about the ‘ship modifications’ that would soon be possible.
‘With overflowing resources, time, and the facilities to make it physically possible… what kind of crazy things will come out?’
But as I thought about it, I decided to subtly hint at Grigri and Nero Nero through a communication channel, without revealing that the ship modification facility would be available after level 10…
-“If you could modify ships freely, what would you make?”
-“M-maybe… if we can modify freely… only regular-grade ships?”
“Yeah.”
-“Then I’d modify a regular cargo ship to capture and brainwash superhumans or troops that the Commander brings in, while also performing physical modifications.”
“Uh… what?”
-“I-I’d use nanomachines to… hehehe.”
-“Or maybe a prison battleship specifically for producing superhumans!”
“…”
I realized that if I left it to them, something indescribably strange might come out.
