“No way.”
Thinking it over, this actually seems right.
So, that father who put Ria here wants to revive her faith, right? Conversely, the more I’m refuted, the more Ria’s faith could gradually come back, don’t you think?
…Well, it’s a bit frustrating to be countered, but what can I do? I plan to stay here a bit longer, so I could endure that much.
“Hey, you, the belt under that chest.”
“Huh?”
“Do you have any leftover from that?”
I tilted my head at Ria’s sudden question.
“Why the belt?”
“If you have any spare, lend it to me. I want to use it too.”
“……”
Before I knew it, I was looking at Ria’s chest.
Due to her fierce impression and short hair, I didn’t think much of it—but looking again, she indeed had a figure to be proud of.
In terms of size, I might say it’s even more impressive than mine.
Truly a heroine. She’s a character that embodies the writer’s desires.
Not that I could say I’m necessarily small either.
“You look good enough that you really don’t need to wear it.”
“Wait, are you saying you wore it so you wouldn’t be obvious?”
With my answer, Ria chuckled in disbelief.
Well, if we’re nitpicking, I mean, I had made it ‘look better.’
Thanks to some nonsense I heard before.
“Well… I can lend it to you if you really want.”
I replied with a slight smirk at one side of my lip.
“Can you handle the gazes of people? They’ll probably scrutinize you even more than me.”
“Well, I’ve been famous since I was little, you know.”
“……”
That was a pretty annoying response.
Now, to be fair, I’m certainly not small either. In fact, one could argue that I’m better proportioned in a certain sense. Ria was never a long-range attacker in the original work. Position-wise, one could say she’s more of a forward tank. It wasn’t clearly defined since it wasn’t a gaming fantasy, but still.
That said, what unreasonable assets she has. The entity that wrote this story is definitely irrational. Well, considering the plot involves a cult that worships a giant, it’s not like a rational being could exist there.
“I get what you’re thinking, but that’s not what I was getting at. I meant it as being famous as the hero’s daughter.”
Noticing my gaze, Ria pushed her chest out as she spoke.
“I wasn’t thinking that at all!?”
I protested, but Ria just gave a subtle smile.
Ria’s not wrong, though.
In the original, there was a scene where people were genuinely surprised saying, ‘Could it be that Lee Chae-eun!?’
It’s not like I’m only famous for my father’s name, and although I didn’t really lead a full hunter life, I already had some achievements at this age. I’ve cleared monsters that came through the gate a number of times and I’ve never lost in sparring with the adults.
In fact, among those adults, many openly envy Lee Chae-eun for being the hero’s child with abundant talent, so much so that they didn’t even go easy on me.
Even if she feels somewhat reluctant about being famous due to her father, she’s clearly not lacking confidence in her abilities.
……
However, even if I argued that I knew that fact now, Ria seems convinced that I was eyeing her body, so I decided not to further refute it.
I opened the closet door next to the bed and tossed out an extra belt towards Ria.
Ria caught it and, after examining it, immediately put it on under her chest.
The somewhat loose fit that was just barely covering her shape turned into something that displayed her figure quite clearly, putting me in a terribly awkward position.
“Huh? What’s this? Even like this, it doesn’t look like yours!”
But no matter how much she tries to scrunch the top of a loose outfit, the bottom part doesn’t cling tightly to the body.
“That’s because your clothes weren’t designed for a naturally slender person to wear.”
Men’s clothes may not look too odd even if a chubby person wears a larger size. Large-sized clothes are made to fit the broad shoulders of a plump person, although sometimes the shoulder lines may sag, but there really aren’t many cases of odd constriction in specific areas.
But women’s clothes, well, the chest size is important.
In general, meaning for those around average sizes, they can get away with wearing off-the-rack clothes that are roughly similar in size, but… if that size overwhelmingly exceeds the average, wearing anything without special consideration will end up either too loose or too tight.
In reality, having a large chest can mess with overall appearance, or so they say. Well, that’s the story.
Sister uniforms are definitely not custom-made like that, so naturally, Ria’s uniform is close to ‘plus size.’ At least the chest area fits, but below it, the size is quite generous.
When the upper part is tightened, the lower part gets wrinkles galore, leaving a lot of excess fabric and creating a different style than mine.
“I’m just barely holding my chest in, the rest fit fine enough.”
“Hmm.”
Ria’s eyes narrowed.
“Is that true? You didn’t adjust the size on purpose?”
“……”
“Hey, why are you avoiding my gaze? Did you really adjust it?”
“N-no, no way!? I absolutely didn’t adjust it!?”
“Or are you honestly trying to trick me saying this is just to emphasize your chest? It’s not meant to be a direct inquiry?”
“……”
“Hmph.”
Given she pointed out a fact no one suspected until now, she must truly have sharp eyes.
“Hmph, huff….”
“What are you laughing at?”
“Uh, what? Are you saying something to me? Should I just rush to the Sister Warden’s office right now? Should I tell her what you did to your uniform?”
“……I didn’t do anything.”
“Hey, you really can’t tell a lie, can you?”
Saying that while trying to stifle laughter was incredibly irritating.
Ria unfastened the belt she had on under her chest and threw it back towards me. I caught it and tossed it haphazardly back into the closet.
“Well, that’s beside the point.”
Ria shrugged. Ugh, that attitude is infuriating. It feels like she’s holding an upper hand over me.
Even with her having caught me at a weak point, I have no rebuttal.
“I’ve noticed something over the past few days of being around you.”
“What is it?”
“I overheard other kids whispering.”
“You have good ears!”
“You don’t go around preaching like that in front of the other kids normally, do you?”
“……”
“Well, there were kids who changed rooms after hearing your nonsense, though usually those kids were the ones who picked fights with you first.”
“You think I could just catch that in whispers?”
I asked, more surprised than annoyed, and Ria chuckled.
“Can you really catch that in whispers? I heard it from friends I made since coming here.”
“Friends…?”
Can one really make friends in a convent?
I’ve never had friends until now!
“The convent’s rules say not to talk carelessly to your partner, don’t they?”
These are written rules.
If it were just a girls’ or boys’ school, maybe it wouldn’t matter. Even if desires accumulate, there are plenty of distractions at home—be it videos, cartoons, or any other outlets.
If capable, one could have a partner or girlfriend. Either way, there are many ways to alleviate those desires.
But in a convent, it’s different. No matter how much it might have inherited some social functions, a religious facility is still a religious facility. There are inevitably suppressed aspects compared to the secular world.
What do you think would happen if you put a bunch of teenagers simmering in adolescent lust in a place where they couldn’t go out or see the opposite sex? That applies whether it’s boys or girls; there’s just no way trouble wouldn’t occur.
Thus, they minimize each other’s contact altogether. Strengthening the rules is the solution.
…I really don’t know why they even bother with double occupancy rooms in the first place.
“……”
However, even after hearing my story, Ria just looked at me as if I was saying something ridiculous.
“What the heck? You’re in no position to talk about rules.”
………
Okay, fair enough.
It’s a bit unfair to me, though, since I’ve been trying to consider things my own way.
My mind isn’t at that teenage level, but my body is going through secondary sexual characteristics. Naturally, let’s just say, those days do come.
But the problem is, even till now, I still perceive women as sexual objects. And there are plenty of women around me.
Moreover, most of them are minors. No matter what, I have a minimum sense of morality.
So I thought it best to live a completely celibate lifestyle. At least I think I adhered to the rules pretty well in that regard. I responded when they spoke to me first, I got angry and countered back when provoked, but there hasn’t been any trouble of that kind, at least.
“The rules say not to tempt and avoid unnecessary physical contact, but they didn’t say not to talk, right?”
“……”
I had no comeback.
“Anyway, you really don’t go around talking like that normally, do you? You mentioned stuff to the Sister Warden and the priests, and when you became a Saint Candidate, you stirred a ruckus by sending a letter to the Cardinal, but that was also because they initiated it first.”
Seeing my expression, Ria quickly diverted the topic back to the main point.
Damn it, I was considered considerate! To my debate opponent!
“Anyway, why do you keep speaking to me first and raising religious questions?”
“Huh.”
“Are you secretly plotting something? Hmm, I suppose a girl who’s a Saint Candidate wouldn’t aim to convert me into some heretic.”
“Uh, wait a sec.”
I jumped up from my seat and tried to stop her, but Ria, acting like she was pretending to think with her finger on her chin, gave me a mischievous smile.
“Or are you just the opposite? Trying to incite me into opposition so I’d turn cozy with the church? Did the Sister Warden say something?”
“Ah.”
…What the heck?
The plan was supposed to be flawless.
Could she be employing mind-reading? A psychic?
