Chapter 496. 4th Anniversary of Possession, Congratulations. (3)
Anyway, while others go crazy over the “extremely low probability” of super dreadnoughts popping out of random boxes or other ships, throwing gold like mad to buy those boxes, I’ve completely lost interest in random boxes. So, I no longer care about any of that.
“There’s a lot of suitable stuff now.”
“Well, the number of battleships and dreadnought-class ships has increased significantly.”

‘Heh, got it cheap.’
I was picking up dreadnoughts whose prices had dropped to almost bargain sale levels, following my original plan to buy fleet tanks.
Of course, Jessica reacted with, “Wouldn’t it be better to just buy one SSS-class?” but…
“JessJessJessica, SSS-class dreadnoughts are still in active service, so users aren’t releasing them yet.”
“Ah, I see.”
Either there’s no supply, or even if there were, I wouldn’t have enough gold to buy one. So, it’s all the same.
Anyway, after brushing off that conversation, naturally, after buying ships, it’s only right to check their status windows.

[Bellerophon-Class Dreadnought]
[Built at the Dunkirk Shipyard of the Pirate Alliance, the Bellerophon-Class Dreadnought was originally a testbed for stolen ‘Shield’ technology from the Xenobia Empire. However, its mobility became significantly slower, and the Pirate Alliance planned to phase it out.]
[Moreover, the shield’s output was far below the initial expectations.]
[Thus, the Pirate Alliance was ready to purge both the Bellerophon-Class and its designers…]
[But surprisingly, it was soon discovered that the Bellerophon-Class’s shield, despite its low output, could withstand the firepower of hundreds of destroyers using the dreadnought’s excess power.]
[As a result, it became a bestseller within the Pirate Alliance.]
—————————————–
[Paladin-Class Dreadnought]
[First constructed at the Alpha Centauri Shipyard of the Earth Federation, the Paladin-Class Dreadnought uniquely features a nano-machine-based auto-armor repair system.]
[It can slowly repair not only its own hull but also the armor of nearby ships.]
[However, to utilize these nano-machines, it requires a massive nano-machine storage, a dedicated power source, and a high-performance control center.]
[As a result, compared to other dreadnoughts of its class, it has significantly weaker firepower and mobility.]
—————————————–
“You’ve picked nothing but thoroughly defensive ships.”
“Well, they need to function as our fleet’s ‘tanks.’”
Fortunately, unlike the previous Bayern-Class, these two dreadnoughts are clearly SS-class, each with unique abilities that will undoubtedly be a great help to the fleet.
Anyway, after checking them out, I went to the gallery wiki tab to see if they were just flashy on paper but actually trash…

Title: SS-Class Bellerophon-Class Dreadnought Review

Our OP strong-weak-strong ship, the Bellerophon!
Compared to a regular dreadnought, it’s slower, has similar firepower, and comparable armor.
Its shield can be broken by a few consecutive hits from a heavy cruiser’s main guns.
But the shield is the Bellerophon’s identity.
Anything weaker than a heavy cruiser’s main guns won’t break it, no matter how hard they try.
To be precise, it would take 30-40 destroyers firing non-stop for 24 hours to break through.
If you hit it with this main gun, the shield will probably break.
But logically, Bellerophon won’t just sit there doing nothing and get beaten up by destroyers, so it’s kinda pointless, yeah.
Anyway, as mentioned earlier, it’s a ship that follows the classic “strong against weak, weak against strong” principle. It’s a total bully against small ships.
But against large ships, it’s pretty much useless.
Oh, but if you upgrade the shield equipment and level it up seriously, that shield can even block battleship-level attacks. So if you’re aiming for a late-game comeback, I recommend it.

Comments:
– [But isn’t the shield originally not meant to block battleship-level firepower?]
– [Shhh, quiet.]
– [So it’s just a shield-focused ship, got it.]
– [What about other stuff? Like anti-air or detection?]
– [Bro, aside from the shield and mobility, everything else is just average as hell.] (OP)

Title: SS-Class Paladin-Class Dreadnought Revieeeew.txt

It’s a healer-tank.
For real.
As the ship description says, it has a trait that slowly heals itself and nearby ships.
But in exchange, as you can see from the stats, its firepower is pathetically weak.
It has 4 fewer main turrets than a regular dreadnought.
And half the number of secondary turrets.
The anti-air system got a boost, but unless you’re dealing with aircraft or small ships, it’s kinda pointless.
Just think of it as a pure tank that also does area-of-effect healing over time, and you’ll be fine.

Comments:
– [For real, it’s literally a tank.]
– [Hey, don’t disrespect the Paladin.]
– [A ship that does DoT healing isn’t common, so if you add a support to it, you could make a zombie fleet.]
– [I heard that’s capped, so you can’t go beyond a certain level.]
– [RIP.]

Whether it’s Bellerophon or Paladin, both are ships optimized for “tanking” as I wanted.
And there’s not much difference from the performance I knew in the past…
“That’s a relief, there’s not much difference from the performance I remember.”
“Indeed.”
Now, as long as nothing goes wrong, these two SS-class ships will handle the tanking for me…
Feeling that this is more than enough, I nodded with deep satisfaction.
And then I handed over the two dreadnoughts I bought to Belial, who had just returned from exploring the event map, to level them up.
“Dreadnoughts… and SS-class at that?”
“Both of them, train them until they’re usable.”
“Understood, Commander.”

Anyway, with that, my market exploration was done.
I flipped through a few more pages to do some window shopping, but…
“Hmm, nothing really catches my eye.”
With only about 10,000 gold left, there wasn’t much I could buy anyway.
After flipping through two more pages, I decided there was nothing else to see and closed the market window.
And then, I didn’t have much else to do.

Seeing another user’s random box explode in failure…
Since I had a little over 10,000 gold left after setting aside the essential seed money…
“Eh, after this event ends, I won’t be able to buy this anymore, so might as well go all out and do a 10-pull.”
I bought exactly 10 random boxes, exploded them like a dog, and then uploaded the results to the gallery to enjoy a relaxed and peaceful time.
