Chapter Two Hundred and Tenth: The Successors
Ash, as a man who made his granddaughter, Rei, shed tears many times, naturally had been thoroughly studied by the Flower Angel. A man who embodies contradictions, if he did not appear at this critical juncture, it meant only one thing — he was once again charging headlong into something he had unilaterally deemed important, regardless of any other concerns!
If you’re still alive…get ready then! I’ll definitely teach you a lesson! You’ve caused enough trouble for Rei and my juniors. Most of it because of your stubbornness, and I won’t baby you like they do!
I can’t let you have the last laugh, no matter what, as your elder!
So—
Live, alright, kid!
With the addition of an individual, the tide of battle quickly reversed. While CureFlowe could no longer manifest the hallmark purification ability of Precure, her rapid strikes and powerful guidance helped everyone catch their breath. After swiftly clearing the surrounding enemies, they held a tense meeting to formulate their current battle strategy.
“Undoubtedly, this level of attack means this is our final confrontation with the Desert Apostle!”
CureFlowe raised her index finger towards the sky.
“You must have heard about our arch-enemy, the past’s most wicked, the Desert King, Doon. He must be watching us from outside right now!”
She was the one who sealed Doon in the depths of the universe, so it stands to reason he’s here seeking vengeance.
“Luckily, our power source, the indispensable Heart Tree here on Earth, hasn’t faced significant attacks yet. That’s why we can still transform.”
“But it’s impossible that Doon, now back on Earth, will refrain from targeting this critical weakness. This indicates there is something obstructing him, preventing him from destroying the Heart Tree all at once.”
CureFlowe paused briefly, as if having an epiphany. She seemed to have an idea where the missing Ash had gone.
But looking at the hopeful eyes of the children before her, she decided to keep silent and withhold this possibility from them.
“Even though we’ve secured our crucial rear, the Heart Tree itself lacks combat capabilities. It can only exert Earth’s miracle power to support us as much as possible.”
“I get it!” Erika pounded the table so hard she almost clambered onto it, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “If the Heart Tree is so vital, then we should engage in a war of attrition around it, right?!”
CureFlowe shook her head; this approach would even if enabled by relentless energy supply from the Heart Tree, result in an endless attrition battle that would exhaust everyone, including ordinary people on Earth.
“Rather than letting Doon wear us down with waves of attacks, we need to capitalize on it by adopting the opposite strategy: abandon defense temporarily, and strike decisively to bring down Doon while he’s not at peak strength, ending everything!”
This was a perilously risky plan — akin to a suicide operation. Yet, CureFlowe met everyone’s gazes sternly, relieved to find resolute determination burning in the girls’ eyes rather than any hint of retreat.
What they’d experienced had hardened them into formidable successors.
“But if the enemy’s in space, how do we get up there?”
“Cifrey and the others are too young to manage this, but Kopo can take you up.”
Just when众人商讨着可能会成功的计划时,蕾望着奶奶温柔的笑容,突然感到一丝不祥。急急忙忙地问道。
“But what about everyone on the ground?”
What if they returned home after a grueling battle only to find everything turned to sand? Whether they defeated Doon or not wouldn’t matter then.
“I alone can buy the time. So I’ll stay on the ground and try my best to think of a solution.”
“No, Grandma!” Rei immediately cried out, clearly understanding. Even though her grandmother was powerful, relying solely on Christmas’s borrowed powers made things unpredictable.
Should such a situation arise during battle…the consequences were too dire for Rei to imagine.
“CureFlowe, please reconsider this plan!”
“Yes! Let’s find a safer way, there must be another option!”
“Ugh—” Kopo never spoke, only uttering a sound akin to a moan at that moment.
“No more debating! Time is of the essence!” She stood up abruptly, her eyes filled with a far-reaching resolve everyone could see. “If we wait any longer, who knows what might happen on Doon’s end. We need every second we can get!”
Moreover, if I stayed behind, Doon would surely focus on seizing my power, leading him to make mistakes, thus creating opportunities for Rei’s group!
“And don’t worry about me—I’m content already, seeing Rei grow up, even become my successor. Living this long, I have no regrets.”
“Grandma—”
Just then, approaching footsteps caught everyone’s attention. They prepared for battle immediately but froze upon recognizing the newcomer.
“Shabak… Wait, you are!”
“Dad!” Lily called out his identity directly. Upon arriving, Tsukikage Eimei brought out the repaired “gear sealing gun” Ash handed over, placing it on the table.
“There’s a perfect plan!”
Ignoring how they were overheard, they focused on Tsukikage Eimei due to the method he mentioned.
Through prior research, he had somewhat grasped its basic usage. Now he opened the protective cover in front of everyone, and threw in his dark gear.
Perhaps all of this was planned beforehand by him!
Truly terrifying successors, aren’t they.
