Chapter 472

Episode 472. It’s Not a War, It’s Punishment. (2)

What an incomprehensible situation.

I tried my hardest to avoid gaining any additional nicknames by staying silent.

But what I ended up getting in return…

—————————————–

Title: Everyone Knows That Face.

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A picture of Anti-Faction users’ bases huddled together between Icarus and Humanity’s territory.jpg]

Seriously, everyone knows that face.

I heard some of their bases got destroyed, how did they even survive? For real.

Comments:

– [Can’t you just press the restore button for the destroyed base? lol]

– [There are a lot of users repairing the wrecked areas.]

– [This is all thanks to Icarus, the King of Neutrality, the market lord of the Central Zone.]

– [Praise the King of Neutrality]

– [Ooh]

– [What the hell is this nonsense?]

– [The Icarus Kingdom is so sweet, no wonder thousands of people dock or live here.]

—————————————–

Now, beyond just gaining weird nicknames and titles, even my territory is being called a kingdom.

Thanks to that, I feel an enormous burden, and my insides are burning with bitterness.

Contrary to what users think, the reason why the Monster Fleet or Pirate Fleet don’t come here isn’t because I’m awesome or because of the Leviathan Fleet.

It’s simply because I’m being used as a messenger and hotline between pirates and monsters, and Marian is being considerate of me, so the monsters follow suit.

Even though I didn’t do anything, watching them create their own delusions, I deeply understand why the protagonists of delusions live with disguise pills.

The only fortunate thing—though whether it’s fortunate is questionable—is that at least I can prevent the Anti-Faction, who were causing all sorts of trouble before the event, from pushing into my territory.

Title: Things Anti-Faction Users Should Be Careful About When Entering the Icarus Kingdom

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A screenshot of a chat with Icarus.jpg]

The immigration officer uncle said if you come here, don’t do any Anti-Faction nonsense.

He said he has no intention of fighting other factions, so if you’re going to cause trouble, just leave.

Comments:

– [When in Rome, do as the Romans do. For real lol]

– [But it’s obvious, Icarus roasted the Anti-Faction for their stupid antics.]

– [If things go wrong, the monsters, Pirate Alliance, or Xenobia might raid the Central Zone, and Icarus can’t stop that.]

– [But the Leviathan Fleet is there, why worry?]

– [If the Leviathan Fleet is slow, the Icarus Fleet and bases will be destroyed, so it’s obvious.]

– [Ah, I see.]

– [Now even the nickname “Immigration Officer” is added.]

—————————————–

As mentioned in the comments and the post, I functioned as a sort of immigration office, cutting off any Anti-Faction users who might cause trouble.

I used every means at my disposal to prevent unnecessary conflicts with other factions.

The problem is, as mentioned in previous posts by other users, Anti-Faction users didn’t “necessarily” need to enter my territory.

Once it was revealed that staying near me would keep the fleets away, most Anti-Faction users, as mentioned above, started gathering somewhere along the border between my territory and Humanity’s, living as part of the new Central Zone.

==========

But not long after.

Around three weeks after the event started, as we were entering the fourth week…

An incident occurred that neither I nor the other users had anticipated.

Some Anti-Faction users who belonged to the “Xenobia Empire” fled to escape oppression.

As a result, the vast Central Zone—or rather, “my territory”—naturally ended up between the Xenobia Empire and them.

And what that meant was…

—————————————–

<<[Global Event]>>

[The Xenobia Empire’s “Punishment Fleet” has been deployed!]

[Content]

[Unlike the “Space Monsters” and “Pirate Alliance,” who have no intention of going to the “Central Zone” that maintains neutrality.]

[The “Xenobia Empire” has issued a final warning to the Commanders who fled their territory, stating that there will be no more mercy.]

[Upon confirming that the Commanders who fled to the Central Zone have gathered there, they immediately deployed a large-scale Punishment Fleet towards the area!]

[Moreover, due to the nature of the punishment, the Xenobia Fleet has declared that they will crush anything that gets in their way.]

[To preserve your bases and fleets, it’s best not to provoke them.]

[Result]

[The ‘Punishment Fleet,’ a large-scale punitive force including the Obsidian Squadron, enters the Central Zone.]

[The current location of the ‘Punishment Fleet’ is being detected in real-time on the Commanders’ mapping.]

—————————————–

‘Oh my god.’

“What the hell.”

“What’s wrong, Commander?”

“The Xenobia Empire is sending a Grand Fleet with their elite units this way.”

“Wow.”

Unlike the Pirate Alliance or Space Monsters, who either merged with us or didn’t interfere due to their own internal bonds and affiliations.

The Xenobia Empire, which had no connection to me, probably reacted with a literal “What does that have to do with us?”

So, they chose a strategy to literally “mindlessly” crush me and the Central Zone users.

But the problem is, the force they mobilized for this strategy wasn’t just any elite fleet, but the infamous ‘Obsidian Squadron’…

==========

—————————————–

Title: Guys, the Obsidian Squadron appeared in the event message, what’s this about?

Author: Shockwave

Content: [Screenshot of the full event message.jpg]

Huh?

Newbies wouldn’t know about this.

Comments:

-[To put it simply, they’re on par with the Earth Federation’s Leviathan Fleet—super strong guys.]

-[Oh, that level?] (Author)

-[Yep.]

-[No idea why they’re moving those guys who should be stuck in the capital defense fleet, but anyway.]

-[In terms of sheer firepower, they’re even crazier than the Leviathan Fleet. Why are they showing up here?]

-[Central Zone is screwed, run for it.]

-[LOLOLOLOLOL]

-[They’re deploying their elite squadron to hunt us down, damn.]

-[Of course, if a slave escapes in a classist society, they gotta catch them LOLOLOL]

-[Damn, even in the game, I’m still a slave after being one in real life.]

—————————————–

Naturally, since this event appeared as a [Global Message] visible to all users.

Not only the Anti-Faction users who had fled this far, but even regular users were in complete chaos.

The only silver lining was that shortly after such posts appeared.

—————————————–

Title: The Obsidian Squadron isn’t fully mobilized.

Author: CameraInside

Content: [Long-distance photo of the Xenobia Empire’s Punishment Fleet.jpg]

There’s no flagship here.

Looks like they sent a mix of some ships from the Obsidian Squadron, part of the capital defense fleet, and some frontline main fleets.

Comments:

-[Ohhh]

-[Wow, how did you even confirm that?]

-[Checked each one with a telephoto lens.] (Author)

-[What kind of madman is this?]

—————————————–

Contrary to users’ worries, it turned out that only a very small portion of the Obsidian Squadron was included in the Punishment Fleet.

Thanks to the sudden drop in pressure, hope began to flicker on the users’ faces.

Of course, that didn’t last long.

—————————————–

Title: Central Zone folks, I think you’re misunderstanding something.

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [Photo of the ‘Punishment Fleet,’ showing at least 100,000 ships of battleship-class or higher.jpg]

Even if the Obsidian Squadron isn’t fully here, that doesn’t mean you can stop this.

They’re throwing something equivalent to a faction’s border defense fleet at you LOLOLOL.

Comments:

-[Thinking about it, that’s true.]

-[“I’ll only fight with one hand.”]

-[Even with one hand, you’re dead LOLOLOL]

-[If an elephant uses just one foot, can an ant beat it?]

-[Don’t resort to cheap fact violence, let’s fight fair with propaganda and fabrication.]

—————————————–

Even so, there’s no way to actually face the Punishment Fleet.

Users agreed that the statement was absolutely correct and desperately wished for the Punishment Fleet to just pass by.
