Chapter 206 – Total Attack, Begin!
“Five Wood — we’ve come for you! Eh? Why is she also here! How… mmph!”
“Hush—”
Five Wood immediately hugged Erika, who had dropped her jaw in shock, and quickly covered her mouth. She then raised one finger to her lips, signaling to the newcomers to watch quietly.
“Dad… this, is for you.” Wiping her slightly reddened eyes, Dark Pretty Cure placed a few dark purple gears into her father’s hands. “Ash gave these to me, saying that you would understand what to do with them.”
“This…” She stood on tiptoe to inspect one of the gears, whose silver bas-relief design depicted a warrior’s head. The man pondered deeply.
In such a shape… so that’s why the gun was missing something and wouldn’t start. With this, it should now work.
“Here you go.”
Suddenly, Lily spoke up, and Little Dark felt something being placed in her hand. Looking down, she saw a beautifully wrapped Christmas cake in a red ribbon box — exactly what they had been selling at their stalls.
“I still can’t fully forgive you.” It wasn’t just about Dad or Ash; what happened to her former partner added to Lily’s inner conflict. “But I don’t want to disrupt this hard-earned peace. Use this as a symbol of a temporary truce and take it.”
“Hmph…”
With a dismissive snort, Dark Pretty Cure didn’t discard the cake but carefully stored it away instead. After closing one eye, her wing, which had been reattached by Ash, shot out from her shoulder. She then swiftly flew toward the sky.
“Does she know what she’s doing?”
As the crowd surged forward, Lily couldn’t help but sigh.
“At least disputes won’t be resolved by fighting anymore— isn’t that a good thing?”
“Yes,” Lei observed as she watched her once formidable enemies turn away. “Ash really did something good here!”
“It’s rare to hear you praise him like this,” Erika said, though not very happily.
There was no particular reason; just personal grievances.
“Don’t I get any credit as well? Why does he not notice my charm? Ash, you idiot!”
He indeed missed noticing her feminine appeal. If he could hear her thoughts, he might well mock her for it.
“So, what do we do next? Sell Christmas cakes together while waiting for him?”
“Only that then.”
“Alright, look!”
Following Five Wood’s alarmed cry, everyone looked up just in time to see the Dark Pretty Cure soaring into the sky. At the same moment, a pitch-black “meteor” trailed behind, piercing through the atmosphere and heading straight for the ground.
Unaware civilians all believed this was a miracle of Christmas, closing their eyes and making wishes. Only the light-sensitive Pretty Cure could tell that within the burning flames of the “meteor” lay darkness — an enemy known as the Desert Demon.
“The Desert Apostle couldn’t hold back anymore? Everyone, let’s go!”
After exchanging glances, the girls took out their transformation devices when the crowd looked away. Although nervous, they weren’t overly anxious since they had encountered this enemy before.
“Hehe, with super shadow powers, a single Desert Demon is no big deal for us—”
While jesting confidently against the meteor, Erika’s words suddenly halted.
Not only her but the other four Pretty Cure girls were equally shocked.
The falling meteors weren’t just one; there was an impressive meteor shower, too many to count!
“…”
Everyone’s attention shifted to a flustered Erika whose face had gone pale, forehead drenched in sweat.
“I—I don’t know anything!”
Hastily covering her mouth, Erika teared up.
I’m not a jinx!
Beyond Earth’s orbit, a weird castle-shaped “satellite” floated. Maintained by dark power, it was the Desert Apostles’ main base, the “Planetary Castle,” filled with unknown mobile fortresses brought back by Doon from deep space.
“HAHA…”
Sitting ominously on the castle center’s throne, the Desert King smiled wickedly, his face extremely pale despite his attire being white and tidy. Sand continuously drifted from his fingertips, drawn down by Earth’s gravity, turning into “meteors” seen by people below. This explained his pale appearance.
“Cursed Kamen Rider forced me to exert extra energy to create vanguard troops.” Blaming an absent figure, Doon cursed. “Only due to running out of prepared forces.”
His expression improved, seeing the cracked Sin Seal in his other hand.
“But now, it should buy time to draw out the Flower Angel and Heartshock Mirage…”
“Only Precure has ever defeated me!”
Crossing his hands before him, the Desert King regarded the three officers before him, whose allegiance was renewed after reinforcement. His eyes shone with peculiar light.
“Hurry come and try to defeat me.”
“With just you, it’s impossible.”
By the time people realized the meteors were nearing, inside which lurked terrifying threats, it was too late. In the midst of panic and screams, the peaceful Christmas turned chaotic. Upon landing, the Desert Demon’s glowing eyes turned the surroundings into rubble, regardless if it was mountains or skyscrapers.
Fortunately, before人间地狱 (人间 hell) descended, Earth’s saviors — the legendary Pretty Cure warriors — stood again, standing between humanity and devastation.
