Chapter 469

Chapter 469. The Counterattacking Factions. (4)

“What, *cough*.”

Of course, the story of how Betelgeuse, that pinky-pink, ascended to become the Living-Geezus naturally flowed here through the gallery.

As I watched that scene in the gallery, I felt a strange sense of kinship with Betelgeuse.

Well, in a way, it’s an obvious story, but…

**Title:** LOLOLOL Living-Geezus, this BS

**Author:** Betelgeuse

**Content:** [A picture of Betelgeuse flipping off the gallery screen as proof.jpg]

Get lost, damn it.

Why are you throwing around weird nicknames?

Am I freaking Icarus or something?

**Comments:**

– [Oh Living-Geezus, please bless these sitting fools!]

– [LOLOLOL]

– [He died once internally and now he’s being treated like a living saint LOL]

– [He is the prophet.]

– [Ha, damn it, please stop (Author)]

– [Prophet? What cringe are you talking about? (Author)]

– [Prophets always deny they’re prophets, you know.]

– [Ooooooh]

– [Ooooh Betelgeuse ooooh]

And as you can see from Betelgeuse’s own post, he seemed to feel quite burdened by this treatment, openly showing his rejection. But once something becomes a meme, whether in the gallery or in real life (?), denying it only engraves it deeper into others’ minds.

So, as advice for Betelgeuse, I quietly posted something to make him face reality.

**Title:** How Betelgeuse Can Escape the Meme

**Author:** Icarus

**Content:** [An image of a toad crumpled in the corner, and another toad standing on its hands naked in front of it.]

Give up.

I realized this after I got like 20 crappy nicknames.

**Comments:**

– [Ah (Betelgeuse)]

– [He has awakened to the truth.]

– [Seeing this, it seems advice only works when it comes from someone with experience.]

– [Truly, the protector of the Triangle Zone, the guardian of Tanhoizer, Avalon, Barracuda, Spiralus… (omitted)… the ruler of Dausi.]

– [Too long, man! Shorten it!]

– [This is already the shortened version!]

– [Looking at that insane list of nicknames, sometimes positivity seems like the only way.]

Anyway, in this way, the Loki Clan faction, which somehow ended up just paying tribute and plundering resources, or the Pirate Alliance, where other users were truly experiencing what plundering is, were divided. Other factions were also grinding users in their own ways.

Unlike Humanity, the other factions’ ‘representative’ clans couldn’t fully control their territories. In fact, they either submitted to the factions or acted as lackeys (?) like the Magellan Clan. This made it even harder for regular users or so-called ‘Anti-Faction’ users to resist.

Of course, even if the other clans united, whether they could resist the factions was another story…

While I and other Central Zone users were munching on popcorn and watching the gallery, seeing the suffering of users in surrounding zones…

**Title:** Instead of being picked off one by one, we need to unite to survive, damn it

**Author:** ㅇㅇ

**Content:** [A poster of Humanity’s Earth Federation revolution.jpg]

Look at Humanity, damn it.

A ton of people united with one heart and one mind, and they’re taking down factions.

We’re all living separately, so we can’t resist the factions.

If we unite and fight now, we have a chance to win.

**Comments:**

– [RAAAAAGE]

– [These so-called big clans are just acting as lackeys.]

– [How does it make sense for users to backstab each other? Seriously.]

– [ㅇㅇ True.]

While opinions like this were slowly popping up, suggesting that users should unite and resist the factions, one veteran who had also been beaten by the factions started explaining logically why it was impossible.

Title: Now, trying to resist the factions by gathering users is utterly meaningless EU.

Someone mentioned it before, but the reason Humanity was able to bring down the Earth Federation was nothing but sheer persistence. Over three years, they relentlessly worked to turn what should have been the Federation’s forces into their own. In the process, they weakened the Federation’s main forces to almost half their original strength. Meanwhile, Humanity mobilized everything: the faction dispatch forces, base mercenary groups, user-hired mercenaries, direct subordinate mercenaries, and even the fleets of subordinate clan users. And if that wasn’t enough, they even gathered mercenary users from the Central Zone and surrounding areas to throw into the fight. In total, the fleet points gathered amounted to roughly 400 million. Yet, even with the Earth Federation starting with more than half its forces cut down (excluding the Leviathan Fleet), their total strength was still greater than Humanity’s. They probably hit around 500 to 600 million. Humanity only managed to win thanks to the users’ unique superhuman multi-buffs. It wasn’t an easy victory. In fact, they almost lost, and the damage was so severe that there were even talks of Humanity collapsing afterward. The point is, it’s too late for other clans or zone users to try the same thing now. Why? Because even the Xenobia Empire, which has the smallest remaining fleet, easily hits 450 to 500 million points. The Pirate Alliance, the largest, is at a whopping 1.5 billion. In this situation, what are the users from smaller factions supposed to do? LOL.

Comments:

– [Damn, that many?]

– [The baseline is in the tens of millions, dude.]

– [Remember when we first got here? The Pirate Alliance mobilized billions of ships to invade the entire universe at once.] (Author)

– [Oh.]

– [Damn, that’s wild.]

Title: Honestly, the guys who messed with the factions while spouting Anti-Faction nonsense had no fear.

Author: Anonymous

Content: [A screenshot of a Humanity clan ‘executive’ verification, with the nickname blurred.]

They did all sorts of crazy stuff to reduce the Xenobia Empire’s fleet points, and even then, they almost lost. Now they’re talking about winning against even stronger opponents? How ridiculous is that? But the mindless herd mentality guys, without any proper facts, just kept saying, “Oh, we’ll win anyway, yeah,” and ganged up on anyone who disagreed. It was honestly so annoying. Anyway, good job, yeah. We’ll just sit here, eat popcorn, and watch.

Comments:

– [LOL]

– [For real, LOL]

– [A gentleman’s trolling is never too late, even after 10 days.]

– [We’ve figured out who you are, so get ready to get roasted later.] (Zegal Yang)

– [Huh?] (Author)

– [This is fun.] (Antares)

– [Ah.] (Author)

– [LOLOLOLOLOL]

– [Damn, LOL, you got caught by the clan leader and chief strategist right after running your mouth.]

– [No matter how bad things are, you shouldn’t run your mouth carelessly. Good experience, though.]

And with the sharp wit of a veteran user and the ruthless fact-bombing of a Humanity executive, the situation unfolded. Although the user eventually fell silent after being discovered by the clan leader and top executives of Humanity, their sacrifice made other users realize just how powerful and massive the factions they had underestimated truly were. Except for some extreme Anti-Faction users, the rest finally began to seriously work on improving their strained relationships with the factions.
