==========
—————————————–
[Global Announcement]
<<[Event Notice: "The Counterattacking Factions"]>>
[Event Duration: 4 Weeks]
[No separate event map will be provided.]
[Event Details:]
[Return of ‘Mercenary Groups’ and ‘Faction Dispatch Teams’]
˪[All ‘Mercenary Groups’ and ‘Faction Dispatch Teams’ stationed at each Commander’s base will be forcibly returned to their original territories.]
˪[However, contracts with mercenary groups will be suspended as of now, so no additional contract fees will be charged.]
[Friendship Checks will officially begin.]
˪[Friendship checks with all factions will be conducted simultaneously, and your friendship level will increase or decrease based on your previous actions.]
˪[All checks will be conducted in real-time, and your friendship level will change in real-time based on your attitude towards the factions.]
˪[If your friendship level reaches a certain threshold, you may receive rewards from the faction.]
˪[If your friendship level falls below a certain threshold, you may receive a ‘warning’ from the faction.]
˪[If you ignore the warning and fail to improve your friendship level, the faction may launch an offensive against you.]
[Important Notes!]
[Since this event does not take place on an event map, ship and superhuman repairs will not be available.]
[Once the event ends, the mercenary groups and faction dispatch teams you hired will return to your base.]
[The event starts tomorrow!]
[During the event, due to agreements between factions, the main fleets of each faction will be able to cross faction borders!]

[Current Friendship Levels with Each Faction]
˪[Space Monsters: 105]
˪[Pirate Alliance: 200+@]
˪[Xenobia Empire: 10]
—————————————–
As soon as the official event notice popped up, the friendship levels with each faction appeared right next to it.
Looking at it, I felt strongly that there wouldn’t be any major issues.
“Even if the Pirate Alliance and Space Monsters are fine, the Xenobia Empire seems okay too?”
“That’s just the default value given at the start, so it doesn’t mean much.”
“Ah.”
Although my relationship with the Xenobia Empire is literally just ‘existing,’ so it’s a bit precarious.
Thanks to Marian, the Pirate Alliance has an incredibly solid friendship level.
Just in case of any unexpected issues, I decided to manage the Xenobia Empire’s friendship level moderately.
Of course, the reason I can think so ‘comfortably’ is partly because I’ve used what you could call a cheat key.
And also because the ‘Central Zone’ doesn’t directly border any factions.
Naturally, unlike me, other users had been actively using mercenary groups and faction dispatch teams right up until the event.
So when both mercenary groups and faction dispatch teams were suddenly returned to their factions, the forums exploded with immediate and intense reactions.

-[Where are you heading now?]
—————————————–
Some users were saying they got wrecked because mercenaries disappeared like they were on a time attack right before the event, while others were crying because they finally got to use two forces after being busy, only to have them taken away in just 5 minutes.
It was a chaotic mess all around.
==========
But the real issue with this event wasn’t just the inability to use mercenaries or faction dispatch teams.
The real problem, revealed on the very day the event started, was…
—————————————–
Title: WTF, why are factions pushing in from the start?

This event is already a spectacle and a total mess from the start.

—————————————–
The so-called “Anti-Faction” users, who had been provoking factions before the event, got hit with a full-scale attack as soon as the event started.
And it wasn’t just the usual small fleets of main ships and escort fleets that users were used to dealing with, like “unaffiliated pirates” or “wild space monsters.”
No, it was massive fleets of powerful super-sized ships, like the main fleets of the Earth Federation that kept popping up during Humanity’s revolution.
At least the Xenobia Empire, which is known for its “small but elite fleets of powerful super-sized ships,” was easier to adapt to since users could handle them like they would a “strong user.”
But the Space Monsters and Pirate Alliance were the opposite, specializing in “quantity over quality.”
With the overall numbers already reduced due to the event, users had no choice but to take serious damage from the relentless attacks of monsters and pirates.
Unlike the Anti-Faction, the major clans within each faction’s territory had connections with the faction leaders, whether they liked it or not. Realizing this wasn’t WWE but UFC, they all kept their heads down and stayed quiet.
While the Anti-Faction was getting crushed by the factions in the gallery, these clans were having a surprisingly peaceful (?) time.
==========
But within each clan, there was growing discontent about lying low to preserve their status.
The Magellan Clan had a shared mindset of “Let’s bow down since they brought more of those awesome ships we use!”
The Justice Clan was holding the line with “We’ll get attacked by two factions at once if we mess up, so we gotta bow down if we wanna live!”
But unlike these two, the Loki Clan was simply following the orders of Betelgeuse and the higher-ups to “control” their members.
With the Loki Clan full of trolls, the backlash of “Why do we have to bow down to the factions?!” finally hit a breaking point.
Add to that the long-standing dissatisfaction with Betelgeuse’s one-woman (?) show of running the clan, and the growing discontent among the lower clans about the “authoritarian management” of the Loki Clan…
Exactly one week after the event started…
