Chapter 46: Fireball Technique

Chapter 46: Fireball Technique

Even if Airael was incredibly powerful,

her energy was still limited as an individual.

Although she could juggle two, three, or even more tasks simultaneously, she couldn’t fully dedicate all her focus to each one.

In simpler terms, if Airael shifted her attention to the three Warrior Lords approaching her, her attack on the Water Shield would necessarily weaken.

Airael made a decisive choice.

She abandoned her offense against the Water Shield and redirected her attack toward those three Warrior Lords who were assaulting her.

Breaking the Water Shield would merely disrupt Mason’s spell.

In comparison, taking down those three Warrior Lords would be like snipping off a finger—no, it should be three fingers!

The Flame Giant Sword instantly transformed into gleaming golden magic power, scattering in the air. Airael, now wielding her slightly smaller Flame Sword, swung it at the three Warrior Lords closing in on her.

As the sound of the Flame Sword slicing through the air echoed, in the span of a single breath, numerous flaming sword energies surged toward those Warrior Lords.

At that moment, Smir also cast his protective magic on the three Warrior Lords.

The familiar Earthen Yellow Shield enveloped them.

Even with their teammate’s defensive magic boosting them, the three Warrior Lords weren’t foolish enough to try taking Airael’s attack head-on.

They danced and dodged around the battlefield, evading the waves of flaming sword energy.

The scorching heat generated as the flaming sword energies whizzed by them was deflected by their Earthen Yellow Shield.

Nonetheless, whether they chose to evade or face the attacks, their approach toward Airael was blocked at that very moment.

In this brief pause, Airael unleashed another attack.

Fireball Technique!

Three concentrated fireballs, each about a meter in diameter, formed around Airael.

The concentrated fireballs radiated intense heat waves, distorting the surrounding space at that moment.

For Airael, her attacks didn’t need to be flashy or grand to be effective anymore.

Sometimes, simplicity could be far more dangerous.

Just like those three fireballs next to her.

What a formidable Fireball Technique!

On the sidelines, Linis, who had been watching the battle, couldn’t help but gasp in astonishment at Airael’s magic.

Wait, this couldn’t even be called Fireball Technique anymore!

Meanwhile, as mages sensitive to magic, Mason and Smir also noticed that Airael’s Fireball Technique was far from ordinary.

“Be careful!”

Just as they shouted to warn their comrades,

they saw three fireballs already under Airael’s control heading toward the three Warrior Lords.

Having just dodged a wave of flaming sword energy, the three Warrior Lords now faced the impending threat of the colossal fireballs.

Despite instinctively sensing something was amiss, they were still reeling from the last attack’s shock.

Even if they wished to dodge, they simply didn’t have the strength.

Seeing that dodging was impossible, the three Warrior Lords chose to face the fireballs head-on.

They positioned their shields defensively in front of them, huddling behind the protective barrier.

When the gigantic fireballs reached them, they detonated in explosive bursts.

The scorching flames engulfed everything around them.

Though the three Elven Lords had their defenses set, they were blasted back, sprawling on the ground, their Earthen Yellow Shield flickering erratically before fading into the air.

The Warrior Lords felt utterly miserable, their insides feeling scrambled from that forceful shock.

In the spots where the fireballs exploded, three deep craters emerged as the smoke dissipated.

The craters still emitted scorching heat, wisps of white smoke curling upwards.

Aside from the three battered Warrior Lords, the remaining Elven Lords couldn’t help but gasp at the sight.

The power of this magic was just astonishing.

Even with other magical attacks leading up to it, taking down three elite units like this was no small feat.

Of course, they all knew it was largely due to Airael’s extraordinary prowess as a spellcaster.

Every spell she cast radiated intense waves of magic power.

Airael glanced at the fallen Warrior Lords before turning to Mason, saying, “If this is all you’ve got, I suggest you surrender now to save yourselves some pain.”

Faced with Airael’s taunts, the three still-standing Lords’ expressions shifted.

“Your Majesty, the battle has only just begun.”

Mason spoke with a stern face.

Even someone as cunning as Mason had his pride.

No matter how powerful Airael, the queen of the Elven race, was, they didn’t see themselves as weaklings.

As Mason finished speaking, the three previously downed Warrior Lords got back on their feet.

Though they looked pretty battered, they stood tall and firm.

With their Magic Shield, armor, and shields providing triple defense, their earlier setbacks weren’t too severe.

Their insides had taken a hit, but after a moment’s rest, they began to recover.

Airael looked at them standing again, unimpressed, and replied, “Then let me see what tricks you all have up your sleeves.”

With her words falling, Airael ceased her attacks.

She aimed to win them over, wanting them to lose in a way that they would truly accept.

Not only did she want to demonstrate her terrifying strength but also to show them that their counterattacks were but mere trifles to her.

As Airael dropped her offensive intent, the Flame Sword in her hand reverted to its original form.

Airael’s actions spoke volumes.

Mason and the others exchanged glances, then nodded with mutual understanding.

In the stands, Linis watched this unfold with troubled eyes.

She felt Airael might be overestimating her own capabilities.

In her view, it was enough to simply defeat these six opponents and make them adhere to their previous agreement.

As for getting them to thoroughly accept her, that could wait for later!

“Great Priestess, with Your Majesty’s strength, she should be fine, right?”

Celia, noticing Linis’s worry, spoke up.

Linis glanced at her and explained, “While Your Majesty is indeed powerful, it’s best to end this battle quickly. Delays could lead to unforeseen complications.”

After all, this battle was critical for the future of the Elven race.

There was one thing Linis didn’t voice, and that was the true source of her concern.

Upon hearing that, Celia directed her gaze back to the arena.

In the golden magic circle that was in operation, Airael stood confidently with her chin raised, radiating an endless charm alongside her almost perfect appearance.
