Chapter 46

Chapter 46. The Pirate King doesn’t hide his power… at all.

What a fascinating story, but it adds to the spectacle of this event.

To help users with their strategies, the developers created a unique event tab that broadcasts the Main Force of the Pirate King in real-time combat.

Thanks to that, all users could witness the “battle” between the Hummingbird Clan and the Main Force of the Pirate King…

And the result.

Wait, I just watched the Hummingbird Clan’s battle footage, is that for real?

An S-Class defensive cruiser takes one hit, and after the second hit, it’s instantly turned into skewers? How are we supposed to deal with that?

—————————————-

Users watching the video in real-time, as well as those who caught up late in the gallery, were left utterly demoralized.

—————————————-

Comments:

– [Is this for real???]

– [How are players supposed to survive when cruisers are blowing up in one hit?]

– [This is insane.]

– [Damn, this game is really screwed.]

—————————————-

And those reactions spread across all sorts of posts, with comments filled with newbies crying, making it look like a street of despair.

The fact that the Hummingbird Clan couldn’t even land a proper hit and ended up sacrificing their ships only deepened the newbies’ despair.

Of course, some veterans tried to cheer them up, saying it wasn’t time to despair yet.

—————————————-

– [I trusted your words, but instead of Pirate Eyes, Pirate Ajosshi showed up, damn it.]

– [Ah.]

—————————————-

Unfortunately, those veterans had their own sins (???), so their attempts to calm the newbies’ rage ended up with them being swept away like figurines in a tsunami.

—————————————-

But the newbies’ explosive rage was finally subdued about three days later, when the fifth clan to face the Pirate King’s Main Force, the “Makguksu Clan,” engaged in real-time combat and managed to secure a victory.

Of course, unlike the four “small-scale” clans that had been defeated before, this clan boasted over 50 members, including 20 veterans who had been playing the game for a long time.

They didn’t just rely on brute force like some old man living alone with 150 years of experience.

Using a grand fleet of hundreds of ships, including 10 SSS-Class Cruisers and 20 Destroyers, and following the veterans’ strategies, they managed to defeat the Pirate King’s Main Force, which only knew how to charge head-on and unleash firepower.

– [Thumbs up…]

– [The guy above just keeps begging for thumbs up, damn it.]

In an instant, the gallery’s opinion flipped.

The “Makguksu” Clan, which had achieved the first victory, was praised, while the “Hummingbird” Clan and others who had sacrificed their ships to the Pirate King were heavily criticized.

But the idiots’ behavior was quickly shut down when the “Makguksu” Clan’s leader personally posted in the gallery.

Content: [Proof of resource depletion in status window]

We used up all the rare resources we had saved to mass-produce high-grade blueprint ships that the veterans had, just to stop that damn Pirate King’s fleet.

Even then, half of our fleet was destroyed, including one SSS-Class ship that was blown up and another that was heavily damaged and had to dock for repairs.

And as you can see from the video, the Pirate King is fundamentally different from the Pirate Empress—he’s a fleet battle enthusiast.

He wins in close-quarters ship combat, focusing on battleship artillery, and your fleet has to be in top condition to face him.

So when our fleet got wrecked by his harpoons, we immediately…

By controlling the placement of other users’ fleets, the main force of the Pirate King kept switching between close combat and artillery combat, making them move inefficiently.

Meanwhile, other fleets that didn’t draw aggro were busy dealing damage with our SSS-tier long-range superhumans and ships.

But the damn main force would pull aggro to other fleets if cruisers were deployed there, leaving the ones who were supposed to push with firepower lacking in strength.

And the most annoying part? The battleship used as the Pirate King’s flagship. It’s S+ tier, but thanks to the pirates’ crazy modifications, its main cannon firepower is insane.

Fighting these guys is different from fighting regular pirates. You have to throw cruisers as bait and attack with destroyers, patrol ships, and small ships loaded with superhumans.

But near the battleship, the Pirate King’s minions are everywhere, making it hard to break through. And if you do, dozens of secondary cannons (not as strong as the main one but still deadly) will greet your fleet, blowing up patrol ships in just a few hits.

This time, we didn’t even have to board the flagship because the Pirate King retreated. But if we did, we’d have to fight the Pirate King, a level 100 close-combat superhuman, and his level 50+ Imperial Guard. LOL.

The battleship’s internal defenses are insane, making it practically impossible for users to win in a boarding battle.

The only way is to temporarily disable the battleship during boarding and take out the rest of the main fleet.

And as you can tell from the above, we lost a ridiculous amount of resources, making recovery impossible. Damn.

Anyway, to summarize:

1. The Pirate King’s main force is OP.

2. The battleship is so OP that you have to use cruisers as disposable bait.

3. If you mess up here, your fleet is beyond repair. A head-on fight is hopeless.

Comments:

– [Insane.]

A long, detailed post and the first comment expressing shock in just two words.

The shock and horror left the gallery users in chaos.

And this happened just one day after the Pirate King’s “defeat.”

Wait, didn’t we get wrecked by those noodle guys?

Why are they coming back with even more forces? Damn.

Comments:

– [Wow, damn.]

– [Wait, if the base gets destroyed, doesn’t it just disappear? How are they still in contact?]

– [Right before the base was destroyed, all clan members teleported to another area. LOL.] (Author)

– [Quick thinking, impressive.]

Another large clan (about 50 members) was defeated by the Pirate King, who returned with even more forces.

Title: Devs, how the hell are we supposed to stop this? Damn.

A 50-member clan just got crushed. Are you kidding me?

How are clans with barely 10 members or even smaller supposed to stop this? Damn.

Comments:

– [So… this game is about my survival being the victory?]

– [What.]

Once again, the gallery’s mood was shaken like a reed in a storm.

After the clan leader of the defeated clan saw the post:

– [Oh, but we retreated before we were defeated, so the Pirate King failed to resupply his fleet. LOLOLOL.]

– [Oh…]

With this comment revealing they gave the Pirate King a big middle finger, the gallery’s mood flipped like a coin once again.
