Chapter 456. If you act too recklessly, someone’s bound to pull a knife on you.
And the reason I reacted like that was none other than…

The reason was the unexpectedly steep increase in point requirements.
“Wow, it’s gotten ridiculously tough.”
“Ugh, tell me about it.”
I couldn’t help but think that my rampage might have triggered a balance patch. Just a few minutes ago, the fleet status would’ve shown around 860 or 870 points. But thanks to that cursed balance adjustment, the fleet points were almost maxed out in an instant.
Contrary to my expectations, I realized the devs were keeping a closer eye on the players’ situations than I thought. But that wasn’t the important part. What mattered was that this update-patch left my fleet with no breathing room.
“Jessica, you haven’t unsealed the Rafflesia-Class yet, right?”
“No, Commander. I kept it unopened as per your instructions and placed it next to the Tanhoizer, with a guard fleet stationed in front.”
“Good.”
I decided to scrap all but one of the existing patrol ships. With the shipyards idle after repairs, I used the leftover 29 points from scrapping the patrol ships to build 9 anti-air destroyers, bringing the fleet points to exactly 1,047.
Even though regular shipyards can’t build large ships, the Large Ship Dedicated Shipyard and Dreadnought Platform can build small ships. So, I used all available shipyards and platforms (except for the two dismantling patrol ships) to simultaneously build destroyers and save time.
Of course, even with the time-saving measures, it still took at least half a day. During that downtime, I watched Pashtira tease Dornia about her small chest and height, only to get hit with a Shoryuken to the solar plexus and go into a groggy state. Ignis, caught in the splash damage, ended up getting roasted too.

**Title:** WTF, my Anomalocaris!!!
**Author:** Mona Lisa
**Content:** [Image of Anomalocaris requiring over 300 points], [Image of fleet points maxed out]
This is BS!!!! I haven’t even built the Orbital Ring yet!
**Comments:**
– [Lol, the point requirements are insane]
– [Bro’s eating up a third of a normal player’s fleet points]
– [LMAOOOO]
– [This is madness]
– [Why is this even a thing?]
– [Even if you build the Orbital Ring, Anomalocaris eats up so many points that your fleet’s doomed]
– [LOLOLOL]

Watching Mona Lisa get screwed over harder than me by the point increase, I decided to munch on some popcorn.

Anyway, after spending half a day like that, I finally saw the 9 destroyers pop out.
I felt my heart pounding as I experienced the first unboxing of a Xenobia Empire-style ship, the first of its kind for our fleet.
And it was an “Assault Battle Aircraft Carrier” like the Kraken I had received from the monster.
“Mmm, yummy.”
I proceeded with the unboxing, filled with anticipation about what kind of excitement this pretty ship would bring.
Right after.
Unlike the Kraken, which had a typical “ship” style with a small head and broad shoulders (or so it seemed).
Well, how should I put it?
“Commander, is that the Rafflesia-Class?”
“…Yes, it is.”
“It looks quite bizarre, like a natural gemstone and a flower were halfway through being sculpted.”
Even Tiamat, who rushed over upon hearing the news of the Assault Battle Carrier’s arrival, made such a comment.
Its appearance was so peculiar that it naturally elicited such remarks.
Once the capsule-like protective gear was dismantled, the Rafflesia-Class revealed a structure that, in short, felt like a “flower,” as Tiamat had said.
Unlike the general-class carriers or the Kraken I usually use, its overall shape was an unusual form, resembling a “flying wing” flipped front to back, elongated horizontally rather than vertically.
And on top of that, it had something as anachronistic and bizarre as a “multi-layered flight deck.”
Moreover, this multi-layered flight deck extended diagonally from a gemstone-like hull.
Between the flight deck and the hull, there were armaments like main and secondary gun turrets of a battleship.
And right next to the flight deck and hull, protruding VLS systems were densely packed.
In many ways, it boasted a truly unique appearance compared to ordinary ships.
Anyway, while I was evaluating its appearance like this, the Rafflesia-Class, towed by YTL-like tugboats, docked inside the Tanhoizer’s facilities.
Before my eyes, a status window for the newly acquired ship popped up.
And as I looked at the contents written in that status window:
—————————————–
[Rafflesia-Class Assault Battle Aircraft Carrier]
[The main battle aircraft carrier of the Xenobia Empire.]
[Class: Assault Battle Aircraft Carrier]
[Compared to other factions, the Xenobia Empire is significantly lacking in numbers, so they have enhanced the performance of each ship or enabled a single ship to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.]
[And the Rafflesia-Class, designed according to that will, can be said to be one of the closest ships to the “all-purpose” type desired by the Xenobia Empire.]
[From artillery battles to fleet air superiority, airstrikes, escort, transport, and even “teleportation” capabilities.]
[Of course, as is the nature of things in the world, a single ship cannot fulfill all performance requirements.]
[Based on the logic that “since it has a barrier, we can’t invest in additional armor plates!”, the Xenobia Empire’s design bureau made the Rafflesia-Class.]
[In exchange for having all these functions, its own defense capabilities are almost “zero.”]
[So, if the barrier is ever deactivated.]
[Not just general-class patrol ships, but even fighter gunfire will pierce through the hull armor like a miracle.]
[Also, due to the excessive functions loaded, even though the armor was minimized as much as possible.]
[The power sources are overworked just to support it, significantly degrading mobility.]
[Moreover, the teleportation function, due to power source overload issues, requires deactivating the barrier, completely stopping movement, or temporarily disabling all armaments when used.]

‘…Is this good or bad?’
At first glance, it seems quite good, but looking at the list of drawbacks at the end.
To understand the situation more clearly, as always, I decided to refer to the treasure trove of knowledge (?) that is the gallery-wiki.
