Chapter 454. When the event ends, that’s when you get the rewards.

**Title:** Unlike the first strike team, there’s another reason why other raid teams are getting wrecked by the Empire’s flagship.
**Author:** Bosniappella
**Content:** [Image of strategic missiles stuck in the Empire’s flagship’s rear.jpg]
Normally, the flagship leads the fleet, tanks with its barrier while dishing out insane firepower, making user fleets suffer. But as seen in the picture, Icarus got crippled and turned into a sitting duck, so it just got pummeled on the spot, y’know.
Of course, during all this, the flagship went full desperation mode with its “cooldown-be-damned, spam AOE weapons” move, wiping out half the fleet’s strength in an instant. So, it’s not like there weren’t any close calls.
But thanks to Raksha, who saw it coming and dipped early, and Icarus and Mona Lisa chilling in the back, plus other users immediately launching follow-up attacks, the crisis didn’t drag on.

**Comments:**
– “So, it’s all about skill and ship power, huh?”
– “Also, people forget that during the first strike team, the carrier group had an Anomalocaris-class brought by Mona Lisa.”
– “That one ship alone spews out as many aircraft as 10 large carriers, so even though it looks like less than 40 ships…”
– “It’s practically like deploying over 50 carriers.”
– “Wow.”
– “But if other users tried to match that carrier power, they’d fall short in other ship types, leading to weaker fleet firepower and getting wrecked.”
– “Damn, that’s some snake-level strategy.”

As always, when the explanation enthusiasts start their detailed breakdowns, it feels like the situation just collapses on its own.
And even though it was tough, having two top-ranked players made it “easier than expected” to clear. Seeing the gallery discussions, I couldn’t help but shake my head at how some people just won’t get it unless it’s spoon-fed to them, or how they try to flex their “knowledge.”
Anyway, whether these things happened or not, it’s no longer my concern. “Do whatever you want, folks.”
I decided to step away from the gallery’s mainstream chatter and casually collect the event rewards. Specifically, the rewards from clearing Round 4.
Of course, this kind of reward is basically guaranteed as long as you clear it, so…

**[‘All-Big-Ship’ Round 4 Clear Rewards!]**
**[Reward List]**
– [Dimensional Causality Fix Usage x10]
– [500,000 Minerals]
– [100,000 Rare Resources]
– [5,000 Gold]

Seeing the rewards pop up exactly as expected, I nodded in satisfaction. Watching the resources and gold pour directly into the Resource Warehouse, unlike user trades, Jessica, who was overseeing ship repairs, seemed intrigued.
“By the way, Commander.”
“What?”
“Now they’re even giving out gold as event rewards. Does that mean players are struggling with gold supply?”
“…Gold supply?”
But thinking about it, it did make sense. Players’ main sources of gold were faction quests, occasional events, or PVP battles. And unless you were docked at a base, there weren’t many ways to get it. Compared to other resources, gold’s supply rate wasn’t exactly smooth.
“So, Jessica, are you saying the devs are trying to do a ‘money dump’ through this event?”
“Yes. Honestly, Commander, you know how some clans have been hoarding lately.”
“…Ah.”
Adding to Jessica’s point, with hoarding and such, players’ gold usage probably spiked more than expected. So, this event might be their way of saying, “The top players will carry the bus, so just sit back and enjoy the rewards!”
But whether that’s the case or not, it’s not really important to me.
“By the way, Jessica, are there any ships in bad enough shape to need the Shipyard?”
“Some ships took damage from aircraft raids or other ships’ explosions during the event map…”
“Yeah, there’s some stuff going on.”
“Then let’s start by throwing those guys into the shipyard for repairs… Oh right, and we got more Fleet Points now, didn’t we?”
“Yep.”
Last time, after building the “Nemesis Orbital Ring,” which is a “ridiculously expensive building,” my base’s Fleet Points finally broke into the four-digit range.
With that, I felt the need to build new ships to fill the extra slots.
And separately, I was starting to think it might be time to cut back on the Resource Mining Fleet.
“Soon, I’m thinking of reorganizing the Resource Mining Fleet.”
“The Resource Mining Fleet? It hasn’t been that long since you replaced the resource transport ships with Light Cruisers, right?”
At my words, Jessica spoke with a tone that seemed to question why I’d want to change things.
But as she said that, she paused for a moment, pondering why I’d made such a suggestion.
Then, she smacked her fist into her palm and nodded.
“Ah, so you’re planning to fully reinforce the main fleet this time?”
“Exactly. Plus, to be honest, my resources are already being sufficiently covered by user docking, outposts, and the Forward Bases I’ve set up in Resource Zones.”
That’s right.
With one Level 7 outpost, three Level 5s, one Level 2, and two Level 1s under my control…
Combined with the resources generated weekly by users docking at these outposts, I’m pulling in millions. Add the outposts’ own resource production, and it’s absolutely insane.
In this situation, using a precious 120 Fleet Points for a Resource Mining Fleet that barely scrapes together a few hundred thousand a week…
No matter how I look at it, it feels like a waste.
And Jessica seemed to grasp that my resolve on this was firm.
A moment later…

“Hmm.”
“As the mining ships return with resources, we’re unloading them into the warehouse and immediately sending them to the shipyard for dismantling.”
“Excellent.”
As Jessica said, once they return, we just unload the resources and send them straight into the dismantling process.
At this rate, within three days at most, we’ll have dismantled all 20 Light Cruisers that were used for resource mining.
And through that, we’ll free up an extra 120 Fleet Points.
“Wait a second, Jessica? Including the ships we’re currently dismantling, how many Fleet Points are we using right now?”
“After repairing the Dreadnought that got wrecked by the Leviathan Fleet, we’ve been holding steady at 948 points.”
“Ah, right, 948 it was.”
Combined with the current surplus of 102 points, that’s a total of 222… A strangely satisfying number that makes me want to type the number 2 twice.
Now, should I use the remaining points to add more Dreadnoughts?
Or maybe increase the number of carriers to solidify air superiority with Tiamat’s support?
Alternatively, I could go all-in on Siege Assault Ships or Annihilators for some long-range artillery shenanigans.
Either way, I’m drowning in a sea of happy dilemmas.
