Chapter 453. Boss Raid. (3)
Of course, even though over 300,000 aircraft were mobilized, the enemy was a boss fleet designed to withstand the assault of 100 users. As a result, our aircraft were engaged in a far more grueling battle than expected.
– Dududududu!
– Boom!
“Current combat results: Enemy fleet loss rate at 2%, aircraft loss rate at 5%!”
“Even though the front-line fleet took a lot of hits, they’re holding up better than expected.”
“Battleships and heavy cruisers aren’t completely useless at anti-air, so they’re focusing on air defense more comfortably than the destroyers and cruisers, which are getting most of the attacks.”
At least the saving grace was that the trick we deployed wasn’t the end of it.

-[We’re almost fully entering the battlefield now.] (Raksha)
-[Oh, good.]
-[Did the ships that went in for the diversionary attack already make it back?]
-[They’re all dead.] (Raksha)
-[They were weaklings, so they melted fast.]
-[Lol.]
—————————————–
Immediately, Raksha and the mobile warfare users’ fleet, which had been flanking the front lines, were making their way in. At the same time…
—————————————–
-[My aircraft have detected the enemy fleet.] (Mona Lisa)
-[Engaging in combat now.] (Mona Lisa)
-[Ughhhh.]
-[The timing is so artistic.]
—————————————–
Despite losing one attack squadron to Kraken’s time-buying tactics, the enemy was still pumping out the equivalent of 10 large aircraft carriers. By the time Mona Lisa’s third attack squadron (150,000 aircraft) arrived after the second wave, the area near the Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire had already descended into utter chaos.
Of course, in that mess, the capital ship immediately started deploying its stored aircraft and escort ships as soon as its cooldown ended.
—————————————–
-[Ah, damn, concentrated bombardment!]
-[Dodge it, quick!] (Raksha)
-[Don’t block the way, damn it!]
-[It’s not blocking, just move to the side!]
—————————————–
If even a small gap appeared, they’d immediately unleash area-of-effect weapons or concentrated bombardments as soon as their cooldowns reset. They were desperately trying to turn the tide, but…
“Ouroboros, charge at 100% complete!”
“From now on, fire as soon as it hits 100%. For now, target the enemy battleships and fire!”
– Kwaaaaaaaah!
The ultra-long-range bombardment from Ouroboros, boosted by quadruple buffs and fire control assistance, started sniping the battleships that were pressuring the aircraft and Raksha’s assault team.
—————————————–
-[Lol, that capital ship is trash.]
-[Capital ship, get wrecked, cho luck key♡]
-[Haha, now it’s time for sweet revenge, right?]
—————————————–
While the capital ship’s firepower was being wasted on the assault teams, the front-line fleet pushed forward and started pouring on the attacks. The capital ship and its escort fleet, immobilized by my teleportation spear, had their multi-layered barriers disabled and started exploding one by one as their cooldowns kicked in.
Eventually, the entire escort fleet was wiped out, leaving the capital ship to bear the full brunt of the attacks alone. Despite its boss-level durability, alternating between cooldown-reset barriers and area bombardments, the concentrated firepower from our aircraft and ships was enough to shatter even the sturdiest multi-layered barriers before their cooldowns could reset.
And once those barriers were torn down…
—————————————–
-[Superhumans, charge! Go go go!]
-[Lol, let’s do this.]
-[Ah, this chilling sensation… it’s time to return as raiders.]
-[This is it.]
—————————————–
Hundreds of close-combat superhumans, who had been twiddling their thumbs until now, launched a full-scale assault, tearing apart every weapon on the surface of the Imperial capital ship. For the large, sturdy turrets that even the superhumans couldn’t handle, special ships, including my Hreðsvelgr, unleashed high-powered mass rounds.
The ships were getting wrecked.
The ridiculously tough armor plates were melted away by the close-range bombardment of the destroyers, most of the weapons on the flagship were destroyed, and so on.
It looked like they were collectively bullying it.
Not long after they started pushing and beating it like that…

[Round 4 – Raid Battle]
[Battle Result: Victory]
—————————————–
—————————————–
-[Oh]
-[We won, damn it]
-[Phew, that was tough] (Mona Lisa)
-[User’s victory!]
-[GG]
-[Congrats]
-[Good job] (Raksha)
-[Mingna, Otsukare]
-[Feels good]
-[LOL] (Icarus)

I could see a clean and straightforward battle result screen, contrasted by a filthy chat window.
==========
And at that moment, when the 3 top-ranked players and 97 users turned the Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire into what it once was and headed home.
In the gallery, reactions were exploding over how easily the flagship was getting wrecked, with the old-timers making a big fuss.

What, using all 4 faction abilities?
Just time the cooldowns and make sure one can’t be used, that’s all LOL
Just immobilize it, that’s all LOL
Comments:
-[For real LOL]
-[You gotta admit, the old-timers know how to make a fuss]
-[Honestly, the fleets of other factions that focused on one thing would be stronger]
-[It got wrecked way easier than I thought LOL]

Of course, while their reactions were pouring in, other users were still participating in the boss raid battles.
Naturally, there were cases where the ‘Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire’ appeared.
Without Icarus’s teleportation spear, Raksha’s mobile warfare meta, or Mona Lisa’s large-scale carrier fleet that could ‘overwhelm’ the flagship’s aircraft, the results were…

Damn, what, you timed the cooldowns to attack?
Just make sure one can’t be used, that’s all?
Damn, we don’t have a Kraken.

-[Do you trust the gallery? LOL]
-[Huh? Why did you lose?]
-[Wait, didn’t you guys have strong means too? You had a ton of carriers, right?]
-[Yeah, I thought you had over 40 large carriers.]

With posts like this proving their glorious defeat, it was clear that this was no easy opponent.
It was revealed that this was a truly vicious enemy, with only a ‘5%’ chance of appearing.
Of course, some users still insisted that the losers were just idiots and refused to change their opinions…
But naturally, sane people weren’t going to just let that slide.
Some veterans, unable to stand their nonsense, started mercilessly beating down the ignorant trolls with facts.
