Chapter 449. Boss Raid Prep.
After comfortably eating, sleeping, and doing other stuff for about two days while keeping an eye on things…
“Jessica, how many teams have I seen in the gallery so far?”
“Hmm… From what I remember, around 200 teams?”
Unlike the fuss in the gallery, the ‘Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire’ didn’t even show a single hair, despite 200 teams charging at it. On the flip side, the ‘Standard Class Super Dreadnought (Enhanced)’ that no one cared about was popping up like crazy.
“Standard Super Dreadnought Enhanced… That thing seems to be spawning way too much.”
“Yes, the Strategic Tactics Research Institute just sent over the calculations. Even a rough estimate puts it at over 60-70%.”
“*Sigh*”
And as if to prove my hunch wasn’t just a feeling, Jessica chimed in at the perfect moment.

To put it simply:
Standard Super Dreadnought Enhanced = 70%
4 Major Factions = Combined 25%
Ancient Empire = 5%

Thank you.
Comments:
– “Veteran, you should’ve posted this earlier!”
– “Why are you posting this now?”
– “Because… it’s fun.” (Author)
– “What… the…?”
– “A veteran trolling without trolling? This is rare.”
– “Guess only the lucky ones will meet the Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire.”
– “Is meeting a performance-wise trash mob considered lucky?”

At the same time, some veteran user posted a perfectly timed probability calculation. I realized the Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire was essentially an Easter egg or hidden piece, and I gained enlightenment while scrolling through the gallery.
“Jessica, I’ve come to a new realization.”
“What is it, Commander?”
“That we’re never going to meet the Capital Ship of the Ancient Empire.”
“…Hmm.”
A hidden piece that only the lucky can meet? With my infamous bad luck, there’s no way I’d easily encounter it. Instead, I’ll probably end up meeting the Standard Class Super Dreadnought (Enhanced), which is the easiest to find and likely has the lowest rewards…
To prepare for any potential bad luck, I decided to set up my ships’ equipment with a more defensive focus. After finishing the setup…
“Commander, what’s the basic strategy once we enter the event map and the battle starts?”
“As we discussed, special main ships like the Kraken will stay in the rear.”
“What about the rest of the fleet?”
“Belial will lead with the Dreadnought, and the standard-class ships will join other user fleets on the frontlines.”
As previously discussed, the standard-class ships in my main fleet, regardless of class, were meant to serve as meat shields. But when Belial heard this plan…
“Commander, if the Brawler-class and Habarovsk provide fire support, I can guarantee a decent long-range accuracy.”
“How decent?”
“At least 50%.”
Belial basically said, “With the right buffs, we can blast enemies from the rear!” After some thought…
“Alright, let’s discuss with our allied fleet once the battle starts and proceed carefully.”
“Understood.”
“Yeah, being too rigid from the start can ruin everything.”
We decided on a basic stance: “We’ll hang back, observe the allies, and adjust accordingly.”
==========
While continuously reading posts from the advance teams about the Standard Super Dreadnought and the 4 Major Factions’ boss raids…
*Whoosh… BOOM!*
“Commander, the entire fleet has just exited the wormhole.”
“Whoa.”
-“All ships, switch to alert status!”
-“All hands, battle stations!”
As I regained my senses from the heavy shockwave of exiting the wormhole, I noticed the entire fleet, including the Hreðsvelgr I was on, had emerged. The fleet comms were buzzing with activity. Glancing at the gallery one last time, I spotted a low-view, trollish post and deleted it immediately.
After giving that user a 1-day ban, I closed the gallery window and lifted my head to see what I had actually won. Of course, even as I tried to check, my mind was flooded with thoughts like, “It’s probably just some regular super whatever.”
But then, a moment later…

[Round 3 – Raid Mode]
[Enemy Type: Ancient Empire’s Royal Fleet]
[Current Raid Participants: 1/100]
[Start? Y/N]
[Over 90% of participants must agree!]
—————————————–
“Uh, what the heck is this?”
Seeing the “Ancient Empire’s Royal Fleet” boldly displayed in the battle start message before my eyes, my brain naturally froze. Thankfully, as the participant count showed, I was the first to enter this map…

[Beograd has entered!]

[Rachukanna has entered!]
… (omitted) …
[Sausage has entered!]
-[What the hell is that?]
-[Wow, so many vanguard teams went in, and we’re the first to face the Ancient Empire’s flagship? Lol]
-[First in the gallery?]
-[Of course, I get teamed up with the unlucky Icarus, and we get this crappy opponent]
-[LOL]
—————————————–
As the users poured in like bamboo shoots after rain, and I saw their sharp comments, the ice in my brain melted, and I finally regained my senses. With my regained sanity, I realized that no matter who the enemy was, my approach wouldn’t change.
But as soon as they entered, they started chattering among themselves…

Title: Did the gallery just get the first encounter with the Ancient Empire’s flagship?
Author: Sausage
Content: [Proof of encountering the Ancient Empire’s Royal Fleet.jpg]
Since it happened, I’m posting it lolololol
This is messed up lol
Comments:
-[Oh]
-[With 200 vanguard teams and additional users joining, there are already 30,000 people raiding, and now the Ancient Empire shows up?]
-[They said it was a 5% chance, but it feels even lower]
-[SSSTC]

Some even started live-streaming their encounter with the Ancient Empire’s flagship in the gallery. Amidst the chaos, I decided to lead my fleet to support from the rear, as planned.
And because of my approach, users who had been crushed by my fleet, often referred to as “N-Caros,” in solo battles, seemed to listen to me without much resistance. My fleet was known for being highly specialized in large-scale fleet support, and with my high ranking, my words carried a certain “authority.”
But just as things seemed to be going smoothly…

-[Having Kraken and Ouroboros at the back feels reassuring]
-[True]
[Anniac has entered!]
-[Hi]
-[Hi]
-[Oh, new people are coming]
-[We still have 2 spots left, so once it’s full, let’s go]
-[Yep]
[Raksha has entered!]
[Mona Lisa has entered!]
-[Huh?]
-[Oh]
-[Wait, what?]
—————————————–
The last two spots were filled by two user fleets. One was a massive “Super Carrier” leading a grand fleet, even larger than the Kraken I brought, and the other was a vicious pirate group specialized in mobility. Seeing these two top-ranking players, who were known to be rivals, placed on the same team, I couldn’t help but sigh.
