Chapter 446. Big Ship, Bigger Ship. (1)
Of course, we lost in the 3rd battle, and the ships were cowardly ganged up on and destroyed.
“It was truly a grueling battle, but in another sense, it was also a very valuable experience.”
“I’m glad you feel that way.”
After all, the fleet and superhumans that were wiped out in the 3rd round before the event started were technically considered sunk or dead.
In reality, they would just come back heavily damaged or severely injured.
After the battle ended and I returned to the base, I saw the Kraken, among others, groaning and stuck in the base.
The sight of the main ships being repaired here and there, or the superhumans lying in the recovery room wrapped in so many bandages they looked like mummies, made me decide to prepare for the next battle.
However, unlike the previous three battles, the final ‘Raid Battle’ was something I had no memory of.
“Commander, about preparing for the next battle.”
“You mean equipping the ships?”
“Yes, what should we equip them with?”
“…I don’t know.”
While the superhumans would recover quickly thanks to the recovery room (squirming, alive) that Grigri had modified, the ships would take at least 5 days to repair. So, during this downtime, I decided to sneak a peek at the gallery to see what kind of boss would appear.
But when I opened the gallery, my initial question only led to more questions.

Is something like a Leviathan gonna pop out?
But even if it does, can 10 users really take it down?
Humanity mobilized 150,000 users, their mercenary groups, faction dispatch teams, and base mercenaries to surround it, and it still escaped.
Comments:
-[For real tho]
-[Remember, even without the Leviathan’s direct escort fleet, the Earth Defense Fleet was also there.]
-[Considering the Earth Defense Fleet’s peak strength, even 100,000 users (+@) charging in wouldn’t guarantee victory, so keep that in mind.]
-[True that]
-[This is too much for a comment, I’ll make a post about it.]

Title: Ramblings about the final raid boss of this event.txt

Even the veterans might not know this, so I’m writing it.
Originally, it was just a super Dreadnought, an enhanced version of a regular-grade ship, and the escort fleet below was a random mix of user fleets participating in the event.
But later, as the game state went to hell and the number of users dropped drastically, the escort fleet composition became a mess.
Since we kept seeing the same people, the randomness of the escort fleet decreased, and it became more of the same.
And no matter how much the boss was enhanced, by this point, the veterans all had their own super Dreadnoughts, so it was hopeless.
So what they did was change the raid boss to one of six factions, and the escort fleet would randomly switch between those six factions.
Oh, and the maximum number of users participating in the raid is 100.
It used to be more, but since the user base dropped so much, they reduced it.
Comments:
-[Six?]
-[What do you mean six factions??]
-[I know about four factions, but what are the other two?]
-[Show me what you know.]

“What could the remaining one be?”
“Right, trying to solve one mystery just brings up another.”
But it wasn’t just me who was puzzled by this; most users felt the same. Yet, after dropping this bombshell, no further answers were given, leaving users heated up by the time the next day rolled around.
As soon as someone claimed to know and posted about it, the thread instantly turned into a rumor mill—something that seemed inevitable.
So, what was posted? It was an explanation about the aforementioned six factions and their bosses…
Title: Explanation of 6 Factions That Will Appear as Bosses

First off, let me clarify, the faction’s flagship class is absolutely not the ultimate; at best, it’s a Super Dreadnought-class, yeah.
Interestingly, the commonly perceived faction concepts and boss concepts are slightly different.
Also, note that users cannot capture but only destroy.
1. Pirate Alliance = A super-large, high-speed Super Dreadnought focused on speed and mobility.
You might think, “What nonsense is this?” but the original concept of the Pirate Alliance is about hit-and-run tactics using speed.
It’s a Super Dreadnought with the mobility of a destroyer, so when you first encounter it, it feels like seeing a UFO.
Damn, it’s a Super Dreadnought, so its size is satellite-level, but it maneuvers like a dragonfly.
2. Space Monster = A moving nest that spews out a large number of aircraft and small ships.
Seriously, it’s real.
You know the Kraken from the famous Icarus guy these days?
Imagine that, but about 10 times larger, with super-heavy armor all around.
Inside, it has its own shipyards and hangars, mass-producing aircraft and small ships for quantity warfare.
Of course, it has a teleport system, so if you just recklessly charge in, your ships will be torn apart by the teleporting aircraft.
3. Xenobia Empire = A tank-type with barriers plastered all over, capable of withstanding fleet bombardments.
It feels like a siege battle.
Its own firepower and mobility are the weakest among the 6 factions, but the barriers are so thick and numerous that it’s incredibly frustrating for the user fleet to break through and attack the flagship inside.
You have to pound away to dismantle all the barriers before you can attack the enemy, but the enemy safely beats up our fleet from within the barriers, which is infuriating.
4. Earth Federation (currently Humanity) = A burst-damage type that spreads wide-area annihilation weapons everywhere.
It seems like this one and the Xenobia Empire have swapped concepts. Originally, Earth Federation-style super-ships prioritized armor.
But after the Ouroboros-class came out, it seems to have been updated. The armor is decent, but the firepower is insane.
Both the range and damage are crazy, so you have to avoid getting hit and accumulate damage like a sneaky bastard to take it down.
Also, if a certain number of user ships gather in a certain area, it will try to wipe them out with a super-large main gun on the flagship.
Without fleet barriers, ships below battleship class will just melt, and even those above will take massive damage, so be careful.
And what about the last two?
5. Standard Class Super Dreadnought (Enhanced)
It’s a Super Dreadnought, the maximum standard class that users can deploy, but larger and overall more enhanced.
So, just looking at the ship, it’s the weakest among the 6 factions.
But instead, its escort fleet is 1.5 times larger than other factions.
Wait, no, it’s actually 1.7 times larger, and for some reason, its ship detection range is longer than the above 4 factions.
6. Ancient Empire = Flagship
The long-awaited final faction, but the probability of encountering it is so damn low that even I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know much, ha.
But from what I’ve heard, it’s just insanely strong.
It’s said to be a fusion of the four major factions in a hexagonal form, but that’s all for now.
Comments:
-[Oooooh]
-[Great explanation]
-[Detailed spoiler explanations are a thumbs up]
-[But wait, damn, Ancient Empire flagship?]
-[That thing is insanely strong, right?]
-[How strong is it, then?] (Author)
-[It’s not the total flagship class of the factions, but it slaps Super Dreadnoughts hard and punches the solar plexus?]
-[Holy crap, that’s insane]
The story of the bosses, which are subtly and ambiguously different from the existing faction concepts, was already intriguing.
But when the ‘Ancient Empire’s flagship’ appeared at the end, not only me but other users, and even the long-matured veterans who didn’t know if they were alive or dead, started crawling out and making a fuss, going “Hoooooooh.”
