Chapter 444

Chapter 444. The Troll Fleet OUT@@@!

==========

[‘All-Big-Ship’ Event Starts!]

[Additional Notice]

[After completing battles 1, 2, and 3, the ‘destroyed’ ships and superhumans will revive, and you will proceed to a raid battle!]

==========

As the event officially kicks off, an additional notice pops up saying, “No matter how much you guys mess up, we’ll let you taste the raid boss battle.”

Users are either hyped up, shouting, “Real men fight 1 vs 1!!!” and diving into solo battles, or choosing team battles, saying, “We gotta build teamwork first.”

Overall, it’s a pretty normal and appropriate start.

But as soon as they enter the event map and the battle begins…

==========

Title: Ugh, Why Do I Have to Calculate Firing Angles?

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A screenshot of battleships in the event map desperately trying to fire beam cannons, with someone holding a protractor over it.jpg]

If it’s a state-of-the-art sci-fi battleship, the captain and crew should handle the calculations, right?

Why am *I* doing this? Ugh.

Comments:

– [Shouldn’t you leave that to your subordinates or superhumans? Why are you doing it?]

– [No command-type superhumans? Did you throw them away?]

– ˪[All the ones I had are dead.] (Author)

– ˪[LOLOLOLOLOLOL]

– ˪[Sarinja;;;]

==========

Command-type = Those crazy guys who try to handle long-range artillery battles with their own brains instead of relying on superhumans or captains, and end up collapsing.

==========

Title: The Enemy Fleet’s Mobility Is Faster Than Our Calculations. What Do We Do?

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [A GIF of cannons firing, but the shots miss by the time they land.]

Huh?

Help!

Comments:

– [The superhumans, captains, and ship computers should be able to predict and fire shots. They shouldn’t miss that badly.]

– [Did you mess with something?]

– ˪[I interfered because their predictive shots kept missing, so I tried to adjust them myself.] (Author)

– ˪[Sigh, damn it.]

– ˪[I can feel the weight of emotions in that one short sentence.]

==========

On the flip side of the above guy.

Instead of letting the superhumans or ship NPCs handle it, this guy *insists* on meddling and ruining everything.

With all sorts of weirdos popping up, the gallery is flooded with endless posts.

And as I watch the chaos in the gallery, I shake my head in disbelief.

– Beep beep! Beep!

“Commander, the shared long-range radar system between the Brawler and Habarovsk has detected an enemy fleet.”

“They’re faster than expected. Are they just charging straight at us?”

Using the dual-core drones of the Brawler-class and Habarovsk-class, I immediately order the fleet to attack the detected enemy fleet.

==========

Meanwhile, as Icarus leads his fleet, packed with all sorts of special ships, to dominate some user and temporarily leaves the gallery…

In the gallery, the buzz about the weirdos dies down, and instead, posts about the NPC fleets they’ve faced start to dominate.

And naturally, most of those posts are about facing fleets that are clearly copied from top-ranking users’ fleets.

Among them, the most popular posts are about facing fleets copied from Icarus, which are filled with all sorts of bizarre ships.

Of course, it’s not just about admiring Icarus’ fleet…

With the Kraken-class, which is arguably the strongest in small-scale fleet battles.

The Ouroboros, equipped with wide-area annihilation capabilities.

The Hreðsvelgr, a strategic missile powerhouse that can take out battleships in one hit.

The Anchorage, armed with the wormhole harpoon, a no-nonsense weapon that guarantees the destruction of any ship of equal or lower class if it hits.

And even the Bayern, which, while average in most aspects, boasts top-tier durability.

Not to mention the fleet packed with dreadnoughts, cruiser battleships, and aircraft carriers.

==========

Title: Is This for Real?

[Direct hit scene.gif]

Ssssssshhh…

That Ouroboros bombardment was still blocked by the fleet barrier, but right after that, a point-blank missile teleport came flying in, causing major or critical damage to the main ships.

And then, some weird harpoons opened wormholes and popped out, trying to pierce my battleship and drag it away.

Luckily, two of them missed and disappeared along with the wormholes, so no big deal.

But the last one got stuck, and my battleship got wedged in the wormhole and exploded.

In the midst of that chaos, bio-bombers appeared right above the fleet and started dropping laser bombs on my defenseless carriers and battleships, blowing them up.

I barely managed to take down the aircraft, but while I was frantically trying to recover from the strategic missile hits, a focused beam came flying and melted the battleship’s armor.

In an instant, 9 battleships and 3 carriers were critically damaged, and I just thought, “Ah, this is f***ed,” and surrendered.

Damn NPC fleet, f*** this.

-[LOLOLOLOLOLOL]

-[This guy got wrecked by N-Karos too LOL]

-[LOLOLOLOL]

-[All those special ships with their weird tactics, no way to win LOL]

Title: Even though the ships didn’t get sunk, they still got wrecked.

Author: Cicada

Content: [3 harpoons from Anchorage stuck in a Dreadnought.jpg], [Dreadnought getting pummeled by Ouroboros’ regular bombardment, Hreðsvelgr’s strategic missiles, and Kraken’s aircraft all at once.gif]

From the start, my battleship line got tangled up by Anchorage’s harpoons and fell apart.

While the Dreadnought couldn’t even dodge the additional harpoons from Anchorage, it got hit by all sorts of attacks and exploded.

Feels like my spirit is breaking.

F***.

Comments:

-[I agree with this]

-[You should take a break from events, seriously]

-[Anchorage is a battleship-class, but it can drag a Dreadnought?]

-˪[When I replayed it, I saw Kraken holding Anchorage with its tentacles] (Author)

-˪[LOLOLOLOLOLOL]

-˪[What the LOL]

Title: Tried to ambush N-Karos fleet with stealth but got wrecked instead.

Author: Anonymous

Content: [Toad blowing smoke image]

I had stealth battleships and heavy cruisers, so I sent the stealth unit around while the main force drew aggro.

But that damn Habarovsk spotted everything.

Comments:

-[Icaros, man, your whole fleet got exposed LOLOLOL, now you’re just waiting to get wrecked LOLOLOL]

-˪[But personal battles are one-and-done anyway]

-˪[Oh right, f***]

-˪[Idiot]

-[What the f***, the special ships have stealth detection and fire control ships?]

-˪[But no repair ships, so let’s have a drink]

Title: Every time I see posts about fighting N-Karos, it’s not “I clenched my teeth and won,” but “F***, this is unfair,” and that’s what makes it fun.

Author: Anonymous

Content: [Toad wearing sunglasses and smiling image]

For real LOL.

Posts about fighting other top-tier fleets are like, “I clenched my teeth, twisted my body, and took down a top-tier player, I’m pretty skilled too, right?”

But posts about fighting N-Karos are just summarized as “F***, this is so unfair.”

Plus, the fleet composition is so unique compared to others, and you get wrecked in such unique ways.

Comments:

-[This is so true;;]

-[I still remember that post where someone got hit by a strategic missile teleported right into the carrier’s launch bay]

-˪[Why do you only get to see the fun stuff]

-[Anchorage is really a scene-maker, in the videos people upload, you suddenly see a cruiser getting sucked into a wormhole like a mole]

The NPCs copying Icaros’ fleet show all sorts of outrageous strategies.

And seeing the users suffering from them, they enjoy the fact that they didn’t get wrecked by it themselves.
