Chapter 40: The Magic Revolution

Chapter 40: The Magic Revolution

“If the magic revolution could really succeed, Airael believed the strength of the Elven Race would absolutely see a significant boost.”

However, those were merely her fantasies for now; the reality was far, far away.

To lead this world’s magic revolution, at the very least, she needed to understand magic enough herself.

As it stood, she could only cast a few spells, and her grasp of magic was woefully inadequate.

After all the soldiers boarded the ship, Captain Mas said to Airael:

“Your Majesty, we are setting sail.”

Understanding his meaning, Airael nodded to indicate he could proceed.

Immediately, Mas led the group of Elves behind him swiftly away.

With nothing else to do, Airael walked to the front of the ship to examine the colossal ram.

Hela and the other Elves naturally followed closely behind her.

Airael studied the rumored dragon-killing ram up close.

The sharp blades ahead gleamed with a cold radiance in the sunlight, making Airael involuntarily shiver.

Not just her; Hela and the other Elves felt it too.

This thing was undeniably dangerous.

They certainly didn’t think their slender bodies could measure up to a dragon.

Suddenly, the massive ship began to move.

Airael and the Elves momentarily lost their balance out of habit.

“Your Majesty, perhaps we should return to the cabin now; it would be nice to see your bedroom.”

Once steady, Hela suggested to Airael.

“Yes!”

Airael responded excitedly, nodding left and right.

The ship was truly moving.

Not by sails or oars, but through magic.

As a Mage, Airael could sense a powerful magic flowing through this huge vessel.

Suppressing her excitement, Airael followed Hela to her bedroom.

They reached the cabin and stopped in front of a door at the end.

Hela took out a key, opened the door, and said to Airael: “Your Majesty, this is your exclusive bedroom.”

Airael stepped inside and surveyed her room.

Her first impression was that it was vast, rivaling her room in Avalon Royal Palace, and it was beautifully decorated, with simplicity exuding luxury.

“Your Majesty, do you like it?”

“I love it!”

Airael nodded.

Of course, she loved it.

Having such a large room at sea, what more could she ask for?

After viewing her room, Airael turned around and said to Hela, “Hela, please take Sally to see her room too.”

As she spoke, her gaze fell on Sally.

After their talk last night, their relationship had deepened considerably.

Airael intended to win over Sally, the straightforward female Knight, while Sally likewise enjoyed spending time with Airael, the endearingly simple-minded Queen.

“Yes!”

Hela responded and turned to Sally, saying, “Lady Sally, please follow me.”

Sally smiled and lightly nodded.

Then they walked in front of each other.

Above the sea, a massive sea behemoth was speeding along with its ten little buddies.

The gigantic ship led the way, helping the smaller ships behind it to withstand the resistance ahead.

Not only did it not drag the entire fleet down, it actually proved quite helpful.

Since Silnas Island wasn’t too far from Menas, just half a day’s journey led them to the waters near Silnas Island.

Standing at the bow, Airael and the Elves could already see land clearly in the distance.

Although it looked close, walking there would still take some time.

Fortunately, they were moving quickly over the water.

Before nightfall, they successfully reached the shore.

As Airael stepped off the ship and felt her feet touch solid ground, she instantly felt much more grounded.

Even though the Eternal Queen was grand and stable once in motion, this feeling of being on solid ground was something that a sea creature could never provide to a land-dweller.

No matter how big or stable the ship was, that fact remained.

Next, Airael and the Elves were ushered into the Silnas Fortress on the island.

As the name suggests, Silnas Fortress was indeed a castle.

It served as a military stronghold.

Everything was geared toward military purposes.

Consequently, while it boasted an excellent port, its level of prosperity fell short compared to Menas.

The atmosphere in the entire fortress felt highly serious.

Especially as the Elven Race was currently at war, its master was out fighting for them.

Here, compared to Menas City, it was a world apart.

Affected by the fortress’s atmosphere, Airael’s mood soured momentarily.

This was the true appearance of a world on the brink of war.

Menas City didn’t seem like a place where war was imminent at all.

Of course, Airael didn’t blame the Elves of Menas City.

They weren’t at fault.

She merely reminded herself to see the bigger picture.

One mustn’t hastily conclude about events based on momentary or localized circumstances.

Watching closely, Hela noticed the change in Airael’s emotions.

However, she said nothing.

Since Her Majesty already decided to come to the front lines and join this war, all of this had been waiting for her long before.

She had to accept it.

And these burdens needed to be resolved by her alone; others couldn’t help much.

Arriving at her palace, Airael hurriedly finished dinner and returned to her bedroom.

Sitting on her bed, her mind was racing.

Although the clouds of war hadn’t completely engulfed Silnas Island, it had already revealed part of its fangs, like a ferocious beast ready to pounce, preventing the residents from relaxing even a bit.

Airael smiled bitterly.

It seemed she had underestimated war.

The strength and danger of war far exceeded her imagination.

But I will not bow to war.

With a determined expression, Airael straightened up, her resolve unmistakable.

She was the Elven Queen; she wouldn’t submit to war, and war couldn’t make her bow.

She should make war bow to her!

With such arrogant thoughts, Airael’s mood lifted greatly.

She even felt like letting out a hearty laugh.

Fortunately, she managed to stifle it in time.

Otherwise, it would disturb Hela outside, and that wouldn’t be good.

Feeling much better, Airael lay down on her bed to rest.

She hadn’t truly rested well on the ship.

Her mind had been filled with thoughts of the magic revolution.

Sadly, with her limited knowledge of magic, she had spent nearly a whole day thinking without coming up with anything worthwhile, completely wasting her time and energy.

Having exhausted herself so thoroughly today, the tired Airael quickly fell asleep.
