Chapter 40

All creators are gloomy.

After all, creation is a kind of exhibition show where you take out your inner self and display it to the outside.

This is what they like. If you’re normal, that’s even weirder.

I can’t say for sure since the only creator I’m close to is Kim In-ho, but I think most creators want to be evaluated.

They create to get attention, to be evaluated, and to receive praise.

To put it another way, yeah.

It means all creators are ego-searching.

<Resurrected Students Also Need Love, this is weird, right?>

Is it technically possible to progress the game like a real conversation without choices?

-It’s possible, that’s why it exists lol

-I saw it myself, so I was convinced. If I had only heard about it, I would’ve called it nonsense.

<Has anyone done Han Yoorim’s true ending route?>

I know Pussik tried it, got a bad ending, had a mental breakdown, and quit after a week.

-The game’s volume is insane, it’s not something you can finish in a day or two. It’ll probably take over 3 months.

-Is it that much?

-There are 100 endings, and just Han Yoorim’s normal ending took 16 hours. And the bad endings aren’t even counted in that number lol

The Game Gallery is currently swept up in the <Resurrected Students Also Need Love> craze.

It feels good that everyone is enjoying it.

I checked other posts too.

There were various reactions.

<Why is Han Yoorim so picky? Wasn’t it supposed to raise favorability just by talking to her?> or <I noticed Han Yoorim doesn’t seem interested in studying?> or <What level is Han Yoorim’s talent?> or <Han Yoorim>…

Why is it all about Han Yoorim?

Where did all the heroines I prepared go?

Being too good at broadcasting is also a problem.

How impressive was Ga Joon-sik’s immersive show that everyone gritted their teeth to conquer Han Yoorim’s route?

She’s kind of an Easter egg. She’s not the main dish.

I made her route difficult so people could enjoy it slowly later. It wasn’t to stimulate a sense of challenge. I even set her age younger so people wouldn’t see her as a heroine.

I nodded as I watched people trying to figure out how to enter Han Yoorim’s route: “Be friendly from a child’s perspective even though you’re 8 years older, and use words and actions that stimulate Han Yoorim’s interest.”

Originally, no one plays games the way the creator intended.

As long as they enjoy it in their own way, that’s enough.

<AI major here, this game makes no sense>

If you put in the effort, anyone can make that kind of AI? That’s true, right? If you spend the time, anyone can make that kind of AI.

But. If you have a 500 million year button.

-But the game actually came out, so what’s this?

┗Personal opinion, but Han Yoorim seems to have AI tech several levels higher than now?

┗┗And you’re using that just to make games?

┗┗┗Indie game developers are all crazy anyway

AI.

That part was fascinating. I was really fascinated too.

The time it took to create the character “Han Yoorim” was incredibly short.

It was just pulling a character out of my head, so no planning was needed, only implementation, and it took exactly 1 second.

With <Infinity Zero>, I barely managed to complete the core due to realistic issues. But with this ability, the ultimate final version came out in 1 second. The ability was truly broken.

The potential of an ability that skips my manual labor was endless.

I vaguely felt this a long time ago.

It was when I made a bullet hell shooter with the ability.

Human thoughts aren’t concrete. They’re vague and ambiguous, that’s how the human mind works.

But my ability even took those vague and ambiguous thoughts and neatly implemented them into reality.

In AI terms, it’s like having great inference skills.

There was a lot of room for application.

For example, let’s say I create the character “Han Yoorim” and want her to act as realistically as possible.

Then my task is set. I’d train her with countless situations and reactions to make the character as natural and realistic as possible.

Setting the big framework and direction is easy.

But actually implementing that would require countless trials and adjustments.

And at this point, a question arises.

Is this…within the realm of manual labor?

Or is it within the realm of creation?

For the record, my ability considered this within the realm of manual labor.

Even in areas where countless ideas might be needed during the trial-and-error process, as long as I clearly set the direction and method, it produced the desired result.

If this is the realm of manual labor, then planning was also within that realm. Comparing various materials to find a better process was hard labor.

I thought it wasn’t an ability to create a game with a single click, but actually, it was.

I confirmed this while making <Resurrected Students Also Need Love>.

I haven’t experimented, but based on what I’ve realized, if I finely apply the ability with the mindset of “I want to make something fun,” wouldn’t games just pour out?

The fun of games made that way would ultimately match the limits of my talent, but I haven’t tried using the ability even as a test.

After all, it’s a game I can think of, and I’d rather not let the ability steal that opportunity.

I’d make ultra-high-performance NPCs for gamers’ shocking and fresh experiences, but abusing the ability beyond that? No. That’s stealing the fun of making games from the ability. Can’t do that.

To put it in stages, purely skipping manual labor is stage 1.

Creating NPCs at Han Yoorim’s level feels like stage 2.

Stage 5. The ability to create a life masterpiece in 1 second using all my talents at their peak is sealed.

If aliens invade Earth and cause a global…

When a crisis hits, your thoughts might change.

When that time comes, even a three-stage seal liberation might be possible…!

<So, how much did Han Yoorim earn?>

A new post has been uploaded to the Game Gallery.

Various speculations are floating around. Thanks to the specific download numbers displayed on the VR Store, most people have managed to guess a rough estimate.

Honestly, she earned quite a lot.

And now, she’s in a bit of trouble because of it.

If taxes are involved, even if it’s hell, the tax office will come after you. If you don’t pay diligently, you’re in big trouble.

But don’t worry. Who do you think I am?

A super game developer (with cheat codes), right?

I’ve already thought about how to handle this kind of situation.

―――

†Han Yoorim: Malangmapang-nim. How about we have a private meeting, just the two of us?

―――

“Pfft.”

Mos, who was drinking water, choked. Seems like his lungs aren’t in great shape.

Mos hurriedly grabbed a tissue and said,

“Wow. Why do you always say something like that right when I’m drinking?”

Judging by his reaction, it must have been cola, not water.

Why did you even drink that?

“Because of Yoorim-nim, we almost had a disaster. If it weren’t for Zero, I would’ve asked for the keyboard money.”

I just quickly brought up the matter because the broadcast was in a lull, and now I’m being framed like this.

Looks like I won’t be able to sleep tonight because of this injustice.

I grabbed my keyboard.

―――

†Han Yoorim: Is it Pepsi or Coca-Cola?

―――

“I only drink Pepsi Zero. What about you, Yoorim-nim?”

―――

†Han Yoorim: I only drink plum-flavored highballs.

―――

“…Then why did you even ask?”

Viewers usually chat about random topics just for the sake of the broadcaster. It’s like a kind of WWE.

―――

Do we only watch this person for a day or two? But we do watch them for a day or two. They’ve been watching us for over 7 years though.

Mos, you feel it too, right?

―――

So, those chats were also a kind of WWE. Definitely.

―――

Does Han Yoorim really not have a nickname?

Of course she does. If she gets caught, she’s in big trouble. She only writes posts that would get her in trouble if she lied.

†Han Yoorim: I don’t have one.

―――

I was an apostle sworn to the God of Truth. Bunny Run, the apostle of the God of Purity, proved it.

But why don’t people just believe me? Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes.

But I guess this is also part of being a super game developer.

Superstars always have to fight against unfairness.

“So, Yoorim-nim. What’s this nonsense about a private meeting?”

*Click.* The sound of a lighter. He must have lit a cigarette. Watching that, I wanted to ask something I’ve always been curious about.

―――

†Han Yoorim: Can you smoke at home?

―――

“It’s a detached house with a soundproof booth, so it’s fine.”

―――

†Han Yoorim: It’s surprising that a hobby broadcast made such an investment.

―――

“The detached house was inherited, and a soundproof booth is affordable. Actually, my broadcast isn’t completely unprofitable. I probably earned enough for the soundproof booth a long time ago.”

I didn’t know. A broadcast with an average of 100 viewers could make that much.

“It’s not enough to make a living, but it’s good for pocket money.”

―――

†Han Yoorim: So that’s why you keep broadcasting.

―――

“I didn’t start streaming for no reason. Doing a hobby and earning money? There’s no better side hustle… Oh. I almost went off-topic again. So, what’s this about a private meeting?”

I was taken aback by that.

I didn’t expect Mos to say something like that.

But who do you think I am? A top climber favored by the God of Truth and eyed by the God of Kindness?

I calmly typed in the chat.

―――

†Han Yoorim: It’s when online groups or users meet offline. It’s short for ‘regular meeting.’

―――

I couldn’t imagine someone who’s been in the community for over 7 years not knowing what a private meeting is. But I believe he understood after I explained it so kindly.

“Who doesn’t know that? Why did you suggest we meet alone?”

So that’s what it was about.

By the way, Mos. You couldn’t even make such a simple deduction?

You got caught being bad at deduction again, huh? With so many clues, you couldn’t even get close to the truth?

This is another win for me, Mos.

Keep trying, and aim for next time.

“If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll pull out a knife?”

Mos said in a slightly annoyed tone.

At Mos’s threat, I sulked and grabbed my keyboard.

―――

†Han Yoorim: Taking back what you gave is a crime.

―――

“I won’t take it back, so just explain.”

―――

†Han Yoorim: It’s nothing much, I just wanted to consult about tax issues. These things need to be discussed in person, right?

―――

I explained everything from start to finish.

As soon as Mos saw my chat, he said,

“So you were the client. You should’ve said that from the start. Shall we exchange contact info?”

He instantly changed his tone to a warm one.

Influenced by that, I also typed warmly.

―――

†Han Yoorim: Sorry. I’ll ask someone else.

―――

Even the Asura Count changed slower than that.

Monster. Run away.
