What should I do…
An unexpected problem has blown up.
The people I sent my memories to don’t even think about summoning me.
It all started like this. After gathering the memories of the Yasle summoning incident, I sent them bit by bit instead of all at once because humans can’t survive full memory transmission and die.
So I conducted experiments, gradually increasing the volume after minimizing it, to find the maximum amount that could be sent.
But some sharp individuals used only the memories I sent to replicate Yasle’s magic.
No matter how many times I review the memories, all I can see is the part where they summon me. However, some people understand the principles from those memories and use simple magic. How do they do it?
Anyway…
Being able to use new magic…
That’s the fundamental issue.
To me, submerged like cold water beneath the ocean surface, the light falling on me comes solely from those who have deeply despaired and accepted their fate.
However, receiving a blessing grants immense power. Upon conducting a survey, I found that intelligence improved along with physical abilities before and after receiving my blessing.
While the degree varies from person to person, overall their bodies improve significantly. And occasionally, special abilities are granted too.
Out of 797 entities so far, 236 have gained abilities – about 30%. That’s not a bad rate, right?
Note: The term “entity” is used because it’s not just humans.
In the world where I was summoned, I blessed a total of 542 people. The remaining numbers represent the lights that have fallen to me over time.
Every single one of those blessed became stronger – incurable wounds healed, they grew younger, stronger, smarter, and some even gained special abilities.
Most problems are solved simply by improving physical health.
But with enhanced intellect, those who can grasp Yasle’s knowledge end up using magic too.
Many experience dramatic improvements before and after receiving the blessing.
Yes… That’s the biggest problem.
When people gain the strength to overcome difficult situations, they no longer need to summon me.
Yet waiting for those blessed to become unhappy again is problematic since it usually happens right before they get decapitated.
They misuse their newfound powers, fail to achieve their goals, and end up getting killed.
It’s a dilemma.
To give someone knowledge, I first need to bless them… But once blessed, they no longer need me.
When I was within that world, I could influence those lacking warmth, but now submerged beneath the surface, I can’t.
Apparently, it wasn’t just my consciousness that rose above, but my actual body too, which allowed me to interfere in that world.
Now that I’ve descended again, I can no longer interfere with the world.
Thinking about descending brings a scene to mind…
Back then, when I tried to create a phone and saw cracks appearing in mid-air, what would have happened if I had exerted force then? Would my warmth have increased? Or would I have fallen through that crack again?
There’s so much I don’t know.
In situations like this, it’s best not to rush but to proceed step by step.
First, let’s figure out how to allow those blessed to summon me.
How should we approach this?
Let’s think about it.
How can I make them summon me?
What can I actually do?
First of all…
I can grant blessings.
More precisely, it’s like transferring myself to others. Their light turns black and their bodies mutate.
This process is simply called “blessing.”
Those who receive the blessing grow stronger. Occasionally, they gain special abilities – controlling elements like fire or water, freely changing body size, regenerating lost limbs, or manipulating others’ minds.
These are positive outcomes.
Now consider the other side…
From a third party’s perspective, the negative aspects.
I can drain warmth.
And when I drain warmth from living beings, they transform into monsters.
Perhaps I too became a monster after having my warmth drained.
However, the first person whose warmth I drained experienced intense cold during their transformation into a monster.
Then they attacked the person in front of them to regain warmth, but that warmth came to me instead.
Not the attacking monster, but directly to me.
Let’s make an assumption.
That monster was infected by me.
You’ve heard stories about vampires drinking victims’ blood, leaving corpses that rise as flesh-eating zombies seeking fresh blood, right?
Similarly, those whose warmth is drained by me could be considered lower-level entities.
But this is somewhat unclear. That monster looked at me like prey initially, then like a superior predator before choosing another target.
Next thing I know, its face was covered in white carapace, making it impossible to read its expression.
But it feared me. Was it scared of me as a complete stranger, or because I was its master?
Either way, ultimately, when transformed people kill others, I gain their warmth. In essence, I create unpaid workers who exploit others for me.
Not bad. Beyond ideology, it’s the most efficient method. Use and discard at will, right?
But it’s not a good method.
Especially because it reduces people to mindless monsters.
Because mindless enemies are easy to kill, right? No guilt involved, you can slaughter them like livestock.
For example, zombies in shooting games. They resemble humans but killing them carries no moral weight because they eat people, are already dead, lack reason, etc. In short, hunting them causes no psychological burden.
Eventually, they’ll be hunted indiscriminately.
Initially, when spreading like a plague, it seems effective, but the aftermath poses problems. As seen in epidemic simulation games…
If the mortality rate is too high early on, people quickly develop cures. If I create monsters by draining warmth, they might discover unexpected solutions to eliminate these monsters.
I realize that if I must act, spreading is more important than anything else.
Therefore, blessings are better than warmth.
Doesn’t necessarily bring negative results to those around, right? It’s just power, without inherent good or evil.
But those blessed give away more warmth than expected.
People in extreme situations use their newfound strength to resolve their difficulties.
And due to their past extreme experiences, they tend to choose violence over dialogue.
As they say…
“What’s the point of philosophizing or moralizing when there’s no rice at home?”
This isn’t about judging right or wrong.
It’s not about human nature either. Those with leisure contemplate such things.
What’s important to me is probability.
Are there more people who maintain rationality in extreme situations?
Or more who prioritize survival?
Purely speaking, more people prioritize survival.
And violence always breeds resentment.
Of course, the violent party might be justified. The person being attacked could be wicked.
So when that wicked person gets hit, do they accept it as karma or blame the attacker?
Blessings will undoubtedly bring more warmth.
Yes. More warmth.
I’m patient.
I’ll choose the greater quantity.
In short, my advantage lies in granting blessings. Warmth can wait. That’s something to consider when I enter that world.
First, I need to market my advantage.
How can I market it?
Search through all the memories I’ve gathered so far.
Hmm…
Ah.
On internet video sites, there’s always something that sticks in your head, right? Yes. Various media distribute specific information to people.
Advertising.
Should I insert my advertisement when transmitting memories?
If I add content like “Receive more blessings!” among the surrounding people, one of them might take the bait.
Not just Yasle or Andrew types are rare. There must be plenty of them.
Even in the faded man’s memories, there’s something relevant.
A church needs only 80 members to operate properly.
That means it’s stable without deficits.
Yes. To some people, religion is a business. Wouldn’t blessings make a great business item for such individuals?
I’ve personally witnessed and experienced this kind of business.
Definitely, someone will summon me after seeing my ad.
Yes. It’s decided.
Though it’ll take longer to send all necessary memories to one person, I’ll insert ads whenever possible.
What kind of ad should I use?
Can you hear me? Can you hear my voice? Maybe start with this and end with a goddess backhand slap like in some game?
I’d love for someone to summon me recklessly, like in cosmic horror works. Though most of those involve people obsessed with alien knowledge, so there’s little useful reference material here.
Hmm…
Let’s keep it simple. Simple.
“If you desire more blessings, call me using this knowledge.”
It’s a slightly deceptive sentence.
Sounds like you’ll gain more personal power, right? But I meant “more” in terms of spreading blessings to more people.
Depending on the language, the phrasing might need slight adjustments. Some languages use completely different words to convey nuances.
But the basic framework remains the same. Present it as beneficial to the recipient while actually serving my interests.
Let’s aim for short, simple sentences that stimulate desire.
Isn’t that what all ads do?
There are no laws anyway, right?
Hi hi.
I’ve placed my ad.
