Chapter 114: The Problems Brought by the Past

“Slap!”

Ash smacked the ZAIA shot warmer in front of the Conductor for the second time.

“Can you tell me what the problem is?”

“I can, but I can’t guarantee you’ll be satisfied.”

Another slap echoed as the golden administrator ticket case was also slapped in front of the Conductor.

“Can this solve your awkward situation?”

“Yes, but we may not be able to help you.”

Ash picked up one of the guns, and with a crisp sound, placed it beside the ticket case.

“Can this plus this solve my problem?”

Unaffected by the growing seriousness around them, the Conductor took a spoon and happily stirred the fried rice that Naomi prepared for him.

“Mr. Ash, who no longer roams through the history of knights, why would you want us to help in other worlds?”

“What a nuisance, you really know how to play dumb.” Ash reluctantly sat down, gesturing to Naomi beside him. “I don’t need food, just a cup of special coffee.”

“I have a simple question,” Ash pointed out the window. The outside scenery starkly contrasted with the Time Desert of the knight world. The multicolored dazzling lights reflecting off the windows made it apparent that the electric train was moving along a verdant branch towards some direction.

“This is where Lei and others are; this is the Precure world.” The evidence separating this world from the knight world was plentiful — multicolored hair, significantly elevated personal qualities, and the scene in this entirely different time rift.

“As far as I know, the Eximons are monsters from your world. If they caused trouble in other worlds, could you allow such events to happen? Ah, thank you very much.”

Sipping the colorful creamy coffee prepared by Naomi, Ash detected a hint of mustard in his first taste.

“In any world, time flows uniformly. However, any change in that flow would trigger unpredictable ramifications… If you’re curious, Ash, the reason is rooted in your past—or more accurately, the past version of yourself.”

The conductor paused in shoveling his fried rice, tapping his finger continuously in front of the administrator ticket.

“In the past, you obtained control over the path of the gods, including the administrator’s box and the infinite tickets. That opened key divergence points. If you hadn’t used them, perhaps nothing would have happened, but recently you did use them, right?”

“Oh…” Ash realized, he had initiated the Divine Path in the previous world. So, the problem was there…

“So, having used this power, it’s as if I had launched a satellite broadcasting Earth’s coordinates into a hostile universe…” As Ash spoke, his face darkened. It seemed that Eddie and the SCSO finding him was due partly to this.

[I warned you]. At System’s words, Ash’s expression became darker.

Having been through countless worlds and acting on whims, Ash’s most serious enemies were abundant.

“Without the Eximons escaping due to the infinite ticket’s temporal reaction, we wouldn’t have come here,” the Conductor finally replied after a moment. “Originally, the demon king intended to seek you. But now, he is occupied, so only we are here.”

“Tatsuo… That guy?” Considering for a moment, Ash reached an immediate conclusion.

The reason why many individuals, including the demon king, were preoccupied… There was only one possibility: surely, it was due to another round of suit battles being filmed.

“What a hassle, one thing after another…”

In everyone’s astonished eyes, Ash casually tossed the administrator ticket to Momotaros.

“Come on, seriously?” Even Momotaros appeared surprised, as he believed this person never gave anything away. And these were tokens of the divine path!

“Hmph, my game doesn’t need players other than me. If so, I don’t need this.”

“You sure have changed…”

“Why should change or not change matter?”

Even though memory was constantly being erased, Ash cared little and focused solely on the present tasks.

“Lastly, I want to ask one more thing.”

Hands in his pockets, Ash looked around as if he sought something but didn’t find it.

“Where are that terribly unlucky singularity and that violent girl who likes black stockings?”

“Hey hey, Ash, what’s wrong with you!” Hearing Ash speak like this, Momotaros immediately became dissatisfied. “It’s Ryotaro and Hana! You forgot about them too?”

“Sorry, you can’t use this to blame me.” Men lifted his fingers to his temples, revealing an immaculate smile.

Seeing the divine ticket securely collected, the Conductor, persistently digging at his fried rice, responded to Ash.

“After all, the knights are busy. Now, Ryotaro, Hana, and Zig-kun are fighting together, protecting the world.”

“Is that so?”

Listening to this answer, a smile appeared on Ash’s perpetually tense face.

Ah, a memory surfaced.

“They continue to fight as knights, regardless of appearing weak. It really seems I’ve changed things with you many times. Yet, you guys remain unchanged.”

“However, knowing this might suffice.”

Finally, amidst an evil grin, Ash knocked over the flag the conductor had stuck into the center of the fried rice in his terrified gaze.
