Chapter 38

After successfully contracting a large three-story house, including a basement, I moved in with Sunchoo.

“Congratulations!”

“Thank you.”

With the house now officially under my nickname, people around me congratulated me, and I bowed in gratitude before entering the house.

Though it was an empty mansion, just looking at it filled me with happiness.

I had spent all the gold I had saved up until now to buy it, but the thought of using it as a Guild House made the gold seem irrelevant.

“Wow, this is a really great property.”

“Yeah, I like it even more than I thought I would.”

The first floor was so large that it was hard to take in all at once, and the staircase leading to the second floor in the center made it clear that this wasn’t just a house—it was a mansion.

“There’s a staircase to the basement here!”

The basement wasn’t as open as the first floor, but it was divided into sizable sections. Since we had guild members like Baldukgae who had crafting professions, it seemed perfect for setting up workshops.

The first floor would be decorated impressively to show off our guild’s prestige, while the second floor would have personal rooms for each member. Perfect.

First, I opened the guild settings and changed the house under my name to guild use.

As soon as the address was entered into the guild interface, a notification went out in the guild chat announcing the new Guild House.

[Wow, we have a Guild House now?]

[No way, isn’t this the hot spot everyone’s been talking about?]

[As expected from our Guild Master!]

I was about to tell everyone to come check out the Guild House when guild members started pouring in.

“It’s huge!”

Baldukgae, being an assassin, was the first to arrive.

As guild members trickled in one by one, their awe made me feel proud.

This is the power of being a Guild Master!

First, we discussed how to decorate the Guild House. I assigned the basement to guild members with crafting professions, allocated personal rooms on the second floor, and brainstormed ideas for the first floor.

After much discussion, we decided to go for a fantasy-themed mansion vibe that matched the atmosphere of Leore.

[Maintenance Details]

– Legacy of Raid website maintenance

[Important Notes]

– Game services and the website will be unavailable during maintenance. Maintenance may end earlier than scheduled.

– Please log out in a safe location before maintenance begins.

I was shocked as I read the notice.

I knew the season update was coming soon and had been looking forward to it. I wanted to participate in the next raid with my guild members.

I had been eagerly waiting for the next season update, but I never imagined the maintenance would take a whopping 16 hours.

Even if I slept around midnight and woke up at 8 AM, I’d still have to wait another 8 hours.

This is a serious problem. That’s 8 hours with nothing to do.

No game? Then what?

A guild gathering.

[Therefore, we’ll have a guild gathering next Thursday.]

I immediately posted a notice in the guild chat about the gathering next Thursday.

The location is Seoul Asan Hospital.

Going outside would be too much trouble, and since Anna and the doctor are already busy, it’s better to just have it in the hospital.

Now that I can leave my hospital room, there’s a large lounge on the first floor of this building, which is perfect for the gathering.

Plus, there are plenty of games in the lounge for when I recover.

Even though I posted it in the guild notice, this sudden gathering was definitely a problem.

Everyone wanted to attend, but with the sudden announcement and fixed date, most said it would be hard to make time.

But.

“I can make it…!”

Baldukgae rushed into the Guild House, shouting.

I was happy to see Baldukgae coming to find me alone in the Guild House. But the problem was that out of all the guild members, only Baldukgae could make it.

Sunchoo and Pinkubelly said they had work and couldn’t come. Out of 11 guild members, only Baldukgae could attend the gathering.

“Ah… so is the gathering canceled?”

“Should we just meet up, the two of us?”

“Huh? Is that okay?”

“If Baldukgae is fine with it, I’m good. I’ve got nothing to do once the Leore update hits.”

“Eh? Don’t you have school?”

“I don’t go to school.”

“…Huh? Isn’t middle school mandatory?”

“If we’re going by that logic, I’m already playing Leore right now.”

“Ah. True. Wait, what?”

“Let’s just have this guild gathering with Baldukgae and me, hanging out casually!”

“Ah, whatever. Sounds good!”

And so, a sudden guild gathering was arranged.

Only Baldukgae and I created a chat room to discuss where and how we’d have the gathering in detail.

Kwon Mi-ae, who played Leore under the nickname Arang Baldukgae, widened her eyes at the sudden guild notice.

Guild gatherings were rare. Since the guild was still new, she thought it would be at least a month before one happened.

But suddenly, a guild gathering notice popped up.

The first time she saw Arang was in a Ryutube video.

When Arang appeared in Kang Hangeul’s video, which she enjoyed watching, she was struck by how adorable Arang was.

From then on, she regularly watched Pinkubelly’s Ryutube videos where Arang played Leore and became a fan of Arang.

Kwon Mi-ae boldly changed her nickname to Arang Baldukgae.

The reason Kwon Mi-ae liked feet wasn’t complicated. It was because she didn’t like her own feet.

Since she was young, she loved cute things.

She enjoyed track and field, which she started because she grew faster and bigger than others. She also had talent.

But she hid her love for cute things because people found it strange for someone her size. She kept it hidden and focused on track and field until she couldn’t take it anymore.

Perhaps because her feet were ruined from track and field, Kwon Mi-ae became more interested in feet than others.

She loved pretty shoes and feet more than anyone else. She adored Arang’s cuteness and her petite, adorable feet.

Of course, it wasn’t with any ill intent—she genuinely liked them purely.

Arang Baldukgae remembered measuring Arang’s foot size the first time they met and had already bookmarked shoes online that would suit her.

If there was a gathering, she planned to gift those shoes.

And now, the opportunity had come.

Since Arang had agreed to her request before, Kwon Mi-ae was determined to gift the shoes and finally touch Arang’s small, cute, and soft feet. She smiled happily as she looked at the chat room she and Arang had created.

[By the way, Baldukgae, where do you live? I didn’t hear where the gathering is, so is it okay?]

At Arang’s question, Kwon Mi-ae quickly typed in the chat.

[I don’t care where it is! I’ll even take a plane to get there!]

[That much? It’s in Seoul, is that okay?]

[Seoul? Even better! I live in Seoul too!]

[Really? That’s great. The gathering location is Seoul Asan Hospital. When you arrive, just tell the receptionist my name, and they’ll guide you to the gathering spot.]

[…Huh?]

[July 25th, Thursday, Location: Seoul Asan Hospital! Any questions?]

[Uh… no, but… the gathering is at a hospital…?]

[Yep! I’m currently admitted to Seoul Asan Hospital, so it’s a bit hard for me to go out.]

Kwon Mi-ae, who had only encountered Arang through Ryutube and never visited the Leore gallery, was shocked by Arang’s words.

[Ah, is it inconvenient for you? Should we do it another time?]

[No! I can make it! I’ll go!]

[That’s a relief. I thought I’d be alone on update day.]

[Alone?]

[My family all have work that day, so I’ll be alone in the hospital.]

[I’ll definitely come…!]

[It’s still over a week away, so let’s talk again in this chat the day before the gathering.]

[Okay!]

How could that child be in the hospital without her family by her side…!?

How could that be!

But if she’s admitted, how can she use the access device…?
