Chapter 38: Taking Action to Kill
Meng Bufan and his companion, seeing Chen Ansheng’s monstrous expression, had the intention to take their leave.
After all, the cultivators who had recently arrived in Zhuzhou had complex backgrounds.
Avoiding trouble and minimizing entanglements was a truth Meng Bufan had realized in his journey of growth.
“Brother Meng, Brother Ge, this band of thieves is wreaking havoc in my Zhuzhou territory. As the leading sect, I would trouble Brother Ge to accompany me to help my sect uphold justice,” Chen Ansheng said.
Before they could make their escape, Chen Ansheng had already spoken.
Meng and Ge exchanged glances, both reading a deep sense of helplessness in each other’s eyes.
They had just firmly declared that if Chen Ansheng had matters to deal with, so did they.
Now that the words were out, how could they retract them?
“Brother Chen, how could we dare to speak of upholding justice before you? Those filthy thieves, you could resolve them with just a finger. I think we should refrain from adding to your troubles,” Meng Bufan politely declined.
“Ah, Brother Meng, you are mistaken. I am a person who values rules. The Yao Yue Sect has held the reins of Zhuzhou for thousands of years; I could never overshadow a guest. That would be simply unacceptable,” Chen Ansheng said with a feigned sternness.
“Uh…”
Ge Hongzhi was momentarily at a loss for how to respond.
“Let’s go.”
Without saying more, Chen Ansheng took off into the sky with Li Huaizhen.
Meng and Ge had no choice but to follow reluctantly.
Northwest of Zhuzhou.
Wolf Tooth Sect’s territory.
At this moment, two men and a woman were absorbing spiritual energy from the spiritual vein of the Wolf Tooth Sect.
Among them, one of the men with a sallow complexion held a white jade treasure bottle, and within just a few hours, he was close to draining the spiritual vein completely.
The Wolf Tooth Sect couldn’t voice their anger; from the sect leader to the elders, they had all hidden away.
The reason was simple—they couldn’t afford to offend these people.
“Your Highness, do you think what we’re doing will break the rules and cause trouble…?” the woman said with concern.
“Sister, you worry too much. In this little Zhuzhou, who would dare to turn the world upside down? Besides, this spiritual vein does not belong to anyone; whoever is capable can take it,” the other man chuckled.
“Jin Feng, I see that there are a few pretty women in this small sect. Tonight, I will stay here, and you can have them send a few over to serve me.”
The sallow-faced man spoke softly, as if the Wolf Tooth Sect were his home.
“Your Highness… Mistress has instructed that you are not to indulge in women,” the man replied, somewhat awkwardly.
“If you don’t mention it, how would my mother know?”
“But your complexion… has been a bit poor lately.”
“Don’t speak too much; it’s rare for me to come out. If I don’t taste the fairies of Zhuzhou, wouldn’t it be a wasted trip?”
The other man expressed his disbelief, thinking that if the young master ended up dead at the hands of a woman, how would he explain it?
He shot a glance at the woman beside him, who immediately said, “Your Highness, our main purpose in coming here is to explore the newly emerged forbidden grounds. Why don’t we set other matters aside to prevent the forbidden grounds from being claimed by other forces first?”
The sallow-faced man replied with irritation, “The forbidden ground is right there; no one can move it. Entering a bit later might not even be a bad thing, so don’t talk too much.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
The two had no choice but to respectfully acquiesce.
“Young Master, it’s them!”
Chen Ansheng and his group had already flown above the Wolf Tooth Sect.
“Three in the Great Ascension stage; no wonder you can’t beat them.”
Chen Ansheng immediately assessed the cultivation levels of the three.
Two were early Great Ascension, and one was mid Great Ascension.
“There were four people who besieged me that day; the other old man is missing,” Li Huaizhen said.
“Let’s deal with these three first,” Chen Ansheng stated, looking at Ge Hongzhi beside him. “Brother Ge, I entrust this matter to you to uphold justice.”
Ge Hongzhi wanted to roll his eyes at Chen Ansheng but couldn’t bring himself to do so, so he asked, “Brother Chen, how do you wish to handle this matter?”
Chen Ansheng replied, “Assaulting the sect master of my sect is, in principle, a death penalty. However, if the other party admits fault and offers a huge compensation, we could consider only severing their meridians and stripping away their cultivation.”
Ge Hongzhi responded, “If that’s the case, it will cause a big ruckus. Are you sure about this, Brother Chen?”
Chen Ansheng coldly said, “Brother Ge has a point. Then I suppose I’ll just eliminate them outright.”
Ge Hongzhi: “…”
Beside them, Meng Bufan thought to himself that this guy’s style was hardly that of a celestial cultivator.
Generally speaking, once one reaches the celestial level in the cultivation world, it’s rare for them to resort to killing unless there are significant stakes involved.
Killing for personal relationships or loyalty invites karma, which few celestial cultivators would engage in.
Meng Bufan wasn’t wrong in this thought, given that everyone in the cultivation world aimed for ascension as their ultimate goal; the more trouble they entangled themselves in, the more likely unexpected accidents would occur.
Chen Ansheng had no such concerns, as he was from the celestial realm.
After a brief silence, Ge Hongzhi finally said, “I will go and talk to them. Their bloodline is pure, and their spiritual roots are excellent, so I suspect their background is substantial. Killing them might invite significant trouble.”
As he spoke, Ge Hongzhi darted over and landed in front of the three.
Upon noticing Ge Hongzhi, the three were briefly shocked, but they soon returned to their normal demeanor.
“This small sect has an Earth Immortal strongman?”
One of the men sized Ge Hongzhi up, unfazed by his Earth Immortal level.
“Three of you, I wish to discuss a matter with you,” Ge Hongzhi said blandly.
“Discuss? Is it just for taking a spiritual vein? Do you need an Earth Immortal to come and intimidate our Holy Son?” the man retorted, displeased.

“This senior, your small sect can gain favor with our Holy Son over a mere spiritual vein; this is fortunate for your sect, which you should understand,” the woman said, her tone still quite haughty when facing Ge Hongzhi.
Ge Hongzhi frowned, “I did not come here to discuss spiritual veins. A few days ago, you injured the sect master of the True Immortal Sect. Now they demand an explanation from you. I remind you, the one from the True Immortal Sect is not as easy to talk to as I am. Be careful.”
Hearing this, the sallow-faced man’s expression darkened. “We’ve already taught many incompetent people a lesson these days. Who do you represent, and what do you want?”
From the tone of these three, it was evident they held no one in high regard; they were likely used to acting recklessly.
Before Ge Hongzhi could reply, another man said, “If anyone wants an explanation, let them come themselves. What do we need an old horse like you for? What kind of intimidation is this?”
“Impudent!”
Even Ge Hongzhi’s usually good temper couldn’t withstand such insults, and he immediately grew angry.
“I offered you a way out, yet you respond with such rudeness!”
“Old fool, you’re just an Earth Immortal, daring to threaten our Holy Son? If you provoke my wrath, I’ll wipe you out, so get lost!” the man beside him became increasingly arrogant.
“Enough, you insolent wretches!”
Ge Hongzhi could no longer restrain himself and slapped out.
Clang!
The palm strike landed against a red barrier, producing a resonant sound.
“A defensive celestial artifact!”
Ge Hongzhi’s palm was rebounded, surprise flashing in his eyes.
It seemed these individuals were indeed not of simple origins; they even carried a defensive celestial artifact!
Chen Ansheng above also witnessed this scene.
“This celestial artifact is of good quality, much better than the scythe I bought.”
Then, Chen Ansheng flicked his fingers, sending down a thread of terrifying celestial power.
Boom!
The protective barrier shattered with a bang, light shooting into the sky.
“Your Highness, not good, there’s a celestial realm strongman!”
The man and woman beside him panicked at once.
By the time he reacted, a golden palm print was already descending from the sky.
“Senior, let’s talk…”
Boom!
The man was about to plead for mercy, but before he could finish his sentence, he was struck into a mist of blood by a single palm.
