Chapter 37

With the death of Yasle, the cult known as Future Hope Church finally met its end. But hey, guess what? The fight didn’t stop just because Yasle kicked the bucket! It’s not like in video games where killing the boss means you win automatically, right?

If anything, things got even busier afterward. Especially since the three kingdoms had been working together toward a single goal up until that point. Now they were squabbling over how to divvy up the spoils—like kids arguing over candy.

And let me tell ya, this so-called “church” wasn’t exactly short on loot. Turns out, fake religions tend to hoard treasure like crazy. People don’t stick around for faith alone; they need shiny incentives too. That’s why there was plenty of good stuff lying around—including where I lived!

So naturally, the next step was obvious: looting time! Tisah and the remnants of Ansellus Kingdom stood by while others plundered away. Meanwhile, Rebecca surprisingly didn’t head back to any kingdom. Instead, she quietly disappeared without a word. Some folks from Ansellus wanted to chase after her, but Tisah let her go.

Instead, Tisah turned south with plans to return to Ansellus Kingdom—even though its core had already fallen. They didn’t know yet, so they kept walking home anyway.

Elsewhere, Witga gathered his followers and met some of Andrew’s soldiers. He gave them an ultimatum: follow him or keep believing in Future Hope Church. Spoiler alert—those who chose Future Hope Church all ended up dead. Just five examples were enough to convince everyone else to switch sides and join “Miri-ga Church,” the shiny new religion du jour.

See, these people weren’t rich or powerful—they’d latched onto Future Hope Church out of desperation. If you give them something better to cling to, they’ll jump ship faster than you can say “amen.”

As for Andrew? Dude is seriously hard to kill. I thought he’d slipped off my radar forever when he ran, but nope—he popped back into view sooner than expected.

One of Andrew’s lackeys suddenly summoned someone said to be “blessed” and dragged them off without explanation. When I followed, it led me straight to Andrew himself. Looks like Witga and I might reunite soon!

Lastly, Wide has been busy gathering supplies near the capital and shipping them off to the royal castle. This brings us up to speed on everything before I unleashed Yasle’s knowledge onto everyone connected to me.

A warm energy surged through me… fifteen minds’ worth of info downloaded successfully. Phew! But then came the groaning, screaming, and dying. Those gifted with heightened perception couldn’t handle it—their brains literally melted into soup. Others merely clutched their heads like they had bad headaches.

Clearly, there’s a problem here. Time to troubleshoot!

What went wrong? Maybe the sheer volume of data overwhelmed them. After all, Yasle’s memories aren’t exactly light reading material. Could be a compatibility issue too—if the human brain isn’t built to process such dense information, we’ll have to find another way.

Editing the necessary memories into smaller chunks and feeding them incrementally could work. But how long would *that* take? Scanning through the memories, I realized there’s a lot more data than I anticipated. Still, short words like “Outsider” worked fine, so length seems to matter.

Solution? Experimentation. And if things go sideways, we’ll need more blessed individuals to manage the overflow safely. No explosions allowed!

To recap:

1. Inject the knowledge needed to summon me.

2. Bless more people.

Both are crucial priorities. First things first, though—I reached out toward the shimmering light hovering just above the water’s surface. As streams of liquid rose upward (like rewinding a waterfall), I recited the usual incantation instead of forcing myself into the recipient.

But wait… they couldn’t understand me. Oh yeah, language barrier. Whoops.

Fine, lemme test this carefully. I gently licked the light, making contact softer than ever before. A name appeared in my mind: Eunjai. His world resembles a wuxia novel—people harness special qi techniques, fly with swords, and sometimes emit glowing blades during combat. Cool stuff!

Oddly, I understood his language instantly. Is learning languages really this easy? Beats me. Anyway, since it works, I’ll roll with it for now. Switching to his tongue, I asked:

“Will you accept me? In return, once you complete your mission, I’ll claim everything you possess. Deal?”

He agreed eagerly, thinking I’d promised power for revenge. Uh… did I mention that? Oh well, blessings do make people stronger anyway.

Satisfied with his response, I bestowed the blessing. PLEASE DON’T EXPLODE. PLEASE DON’T EXPLODE. YES! Success!

Our gazes locked. Through his eyes, I saw the world differently—but one thing was clear: his skin turned ghostly pale. Same ol’, same ol’. He muttered something about feeling weird, moved his body around, and gasped at his newfound strength. Something about “huang gu tal tai”? Sounds familiar…

Definitely a wuxia concept. Neat. Watching him channel energy from his dantian reminded me of old, faded memories. Suddenly, he grabbed his head again. Uh-oh… did I mess up the dosage?

Relax, relax—it’s okay. A glowing aura surrounded his sword, transforming it into a massive purple greatsword. Haha, he’s loving this newfound power. Good for him.

Surprisingly, figuring out the blessing process took less time than expected. From now on, every incoming light will get treated the same way. More warmth, less explosion. Win-win.

Next goal: teaching the technique to summon me. Direct memory transfer failed due to capacity issues, so compression is key. Analysis required, but I suck at analyzing stuff. Maybe later, when I’m less lazy.

For now, let’s check what I’ve got:

– I can give parts of myself to others. Too much = kaboom. Just enough = superpowered transformation.

– I can warp reality. Simple edits work fine, but attempting complex creations (like phones) cracks space itself. Fire or beams? Nope, beyond my reach. Must lack imagination.

Oh, and I can transmit knowledge directly to others. Not sure if it’s related to my reality-warping ability or something entirely different. Testing time!

Experiment #1: The term “Outsider.” Result? Instant adoption by many, even those unblessed. Fascinating.

Based on past events, the deceased blessed ones possessed heightened awareness—seeing farther and sensing intentions better. Perhaps their brains overloaded trying to process too much data at once.

Theory confirmed. Time to reduce the load. Divide the memories into tiny pieces and see how much each person can handle. Once I figure out the limits, I’ll teach the summoning technique.

Plenty of time to experiment here. Let’s get started! The sooner lots of people can call upon me, the better. Hehe~
