There’s a thing called common sense.
People gain various bits of common sense throughout their lives and tend to act accordingly.
Sure, sometimes cultural differences can smash common sense to bits, but we can consider those exceptions.
So let’s think logically. A person with their arms and legs tied up using only their head to wreak havoc on seasoned fighters…
Is that really possible? The student from the Eastern Empire couldn’t believe this reality.
Alright, let’s expand our thinking and accept that there are many things in the world that shatter common sense.
But the moment you witness something that’s way beyond common sense, your thought process gets stuck.
-Bam!
“Kyaaa?!”
One student’s eyes bulged out from the forceful headbutt attack. They couldn’t even scream properly.
That’s how strong the impact was. In fact, the student’s feet lifted off the ground and flew away.
-Whoosh!
Thanks to Sivar’s rocket headbutt, the student collided with a tree shortly after shooting into the air.
No trees were smashed because Sivar controlled it, but it was still a strong impact.
The moment the student’s back hit the tree, they slumped and fainted, and simultaneously, the bracelet activated and the shield began to fill.
Just like that, two people were down. The leader student looked at Sivar with a face of disbelief.
‘No way… Is that really possible?’
There are often “masters” referred to in the East. Sivar likely fits that description as a master.
In fact, even the sword swung down by Namgoong Seokdae didn’t leave a scratch. His body’s durability was as tough as steel.
He perfectly matched the conditions of a master, but that didn’t change the fact that this was still beyond common sense. It’s just his fighting style.
His arms and legs were tied by magic or some trick? Masters would easily break free and enter combat unharmed.
No one fights using just their head while their arms and legs are bound.
“What… what should we do? Another one just went down…!”
“Say something! How are we supposed to fight that guy?!”
In a battle, morale is crucial. And the leader student could feel the weight of that saying intensely.
It was undoubtedly just one opponent, and they were tied up. Yet the team was plunged into chaos.
Spear blades didn’t stand a chance and the body could be launched like a cannon if need be.
Can we even call that a person’s fighting style? Honestly, I doubt even a beast would fight like that.
‘There’s still a way.’
The leader maintained composure. Again, Sivar’s arms and legs were bound.
Despite flying fast enough to compare to a cannon, if they prepared in advance, they could definitely defend.
The mindset needed was that of facing a bizarre creature, not a human.
‘I can’t let it change direction halfway. So…’
He glanced around to assess the terrain. The team was situated in a dense forest.
And Sivar’s attack was straightforward. In other words, the moment his attack missed, he would only harm himself.
“If you see any signs, dodge for sure! If we dodge, only the assistant gets hurt!”
“Got it!”
“Yup, that should work!”
With the leader’s command, the students’ faces brightened. It was truly a clever thought.
But did they know? That Sivar understood every language in the world.
Even if he didn’t know their plan, it wouldn’t be a problem.
-Hop. Hop. Hop.
“What… where is that guy going?”
A girl wearing a yellow ring asked, bewildered. Other students looked just as confused.
It made sense since Sivar was bouncing like a rabbit, hopping somewhere.
It looked ridiculous, making it hard for the students to act.
“Is he… running away?”
“If that were the case, he would’ve ducked down just like before.”
“Regardless, now’s our chance. Quickly cast some spells…”
Just to clear things up, spells are magic. The girl was reaching out her hands to cast a spell after hearing the leader’s words.
But while witnessing Sivar’s behavior next, the students could only stare in disbelief.
-Crunch! Crunch!
The place they were in was a forest. And in the forest, there are various terrain features like trees, rocks, and streams.
Sivar was munching on a rock. It might sound crazy, but he was literally chewing it!
Alright, he wasn’t necessarily eating it, but he was definitely breaking it with his teeth and chewing it thoroughly.
“….”
“….”
“….”
Jaw-droppingly absurd, what they were witnessing was something beyond human limits.
The students were left in a daze, unable to process this scene.
Not only was his body impervious to piercing weapons, but his teeth could also smash rocks.
What in the world is this guy’s identity? Is he really someone with red blood?
As everyone froze at Sivar’s acts that shattered all common sense, Sivar turned his head.
-Chomp! Chomp! Crunch!
Sivar’s cheeks ballooned like a squirrel’s. Combined with his goofy appearance, it looked pretty cute.
But thinking about the fact that there were rock chunks in those cheeks made it far from cute.
If Rod saw this, he’d probably gasp and smack the back of his head, “Oh come on, give me a break!”
Or maybe he’d have been preparing a switch for some strange act. Sadly, the students had no clue.
“Whuuurp!”
Finally, with the rock inside his mouth reduced to gravel, Sivar took a deep breath.
His cheeks were still puffed out, but the moment he inhaled, the students had to flinch.
“De-defend…!”
The girl wearing the ring gracefully moved her hands. She was trying to write something.
The first step to using magic is writing in your native language. Next comes the incantation.
Unfortunately, the girl’s attempt ended in vain. She barely started writing and couldn’t even complete the incantation.
In the meantime, Sivar, who had taken a huge breath, leaned his head back before thrusting it forward and exhaling.
-Pew pew pew!
That was no ordinary exhale.
From Sivar’s mouth, finely crushed rock shot out like it was a machine gun.
It’s hard to express just how it felt, but to simplify it a bit:
Imagine spitting out watermelon seeds after enjoying a nice slice; Sivar was doing exactly that.
“HHHHHHHAAAAA!”
“Ow! That hurts! Ow!”
“AHHHHHH!”
The actual force couldn’t compare to spitting watermelon seeds. We’re talking about solid rocks.
Those pieces were flying toward the students with unbelievable speed, leaving them with no chance to dodge. They could only focus on defending.
Sivar seemed to have dialed it back to avoid hitting the students’ vital spots, mainly firing at their upper bodies.
“Whoa!”
But Sivar didn’t just spit out small rocks. He also had stones the size of fists included.
Those fist-sized rocks seemed to increase their firing speed, flying at close to throwing speed.
-Thud!
“Quick, defend?!”
The leader barely lifted his head, and a stone hit him straight on the forehead. He instantly rolled his eyes back and fainted.
Each time Sivar filled his mouth with stones, he kept chewing and reloading.
As one by one they fainted, only the girl in the yellow ring remained.
She was curled up on the ground like a little bug, turning her back to avoid getting hit on the head.
Consequently, a bunch of small rocks stuck to her behind, making it comically amusing in multiple ways.
“Ugh…”
“….”
“Is it over?”
As things grew quiet, the girl slowly raised her head. She made sure not to skip checking above her head.
Once she didn’t hear anything, her relief was short-lived. She turned as she felt a presence behind her.
“Crunch. Crunch.”
“….”
Sivar was looking down at her, chomping on rocks like they were snacks. His cheeks were puffed out, definitely loaded up with… something.
The girl could only stare at that sight in shock. There was no way she’d win against him with all her limbs tied.
After a long standoff, Sivar took a deep breath again.
“Whoa…”
“Wait, wait, wait! Just a second! Please wait!”
The girl cried out desperately. But it was too late to stop Sivar’s attack.
“Fire!”
Soon enough, Sivar released the breath he had taken in one swift motion.
Unlike the long inhale, it sent down a rain of stones that followed a parabolic arc.
But the girl was already frozen in fear. She was in a state akin to being as fragile as glass.
-Tap!
Finally, a tiny rock dropped right onto her forehead.
“Ughhh…”
-Thunk!
It was a small bump, but it knocked her out cold. She probably thought to herself:
“I just got hit by a stone that came flying in with magical speed right in front of me.” It was somewhat of a delusion.
“Spit. Spit.”
Once the girl fainted, Sivar spat out all the rocks left in his mouth.
Though some shattered stones remained, he could rinse them away with water later. That gritty feeling was unavoidable.
“Ugh… time to go!”
-Snap!
The yellow magic that was tying his hands and feet easily snapped under Sivar’s strength.
To be honest, he could have broken free from the start, but he was just playing around because he was bored.
‘I figured they’d do something, but they couldn’t even land
