Chapter 363. I Don’t Like Being Scammed for Rent(?).
==========
Over the past three days, a lot of chaotic things have been happening.
After appointing what I thought were reliable users as village chiefs for ‘Avalon’ and ‘Barracuda,’ things have, well…
…turned out to be way less problematic than I expected, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction.
Of course, to feel this satisfaction, I had to go through quite a few trial-and-error moments…

Avalon first.
1st Village Chief.
As soon as they were elected, they went power-crazy and tried to go full throttle, but when Icarus said that wasn’t allowed, they just bailed.
2nd Village Chief.
The first thing they did after taking office was randomly try to dock all their acquaintances at the base.
During that process, one of those acquaintances reported, “That guy’s gonna start a rebellion,” and when it got exposed, they actually started a rebellion, got beaten up by the main fleet, and had their base demolished.
3rd Village Chief.
After the first two chiefs were replaced within 10 hours, this guy has been holding the fort ever since.
They’re just… normal, kinda like a civil servant.
Seems like they’ll last the longest.
Barracuda
1st Village Chief.
Tried to start a rebellion as soon as they docked and got kicked out.
Guess they didn’t see the last guy who tried to leech off Barracuda and failed.
2nd Village Chief.
After actually trying it out, they said it was boring and bailed.
The funny thing is, Icarus got so pissed they revoked the docking rights for Barracuda altogether, so they got kicked out.
3rd Village Chief.
We thought it was them, got everything ready, but they refused, so it fell through.
4th Village Chief.
The current one, ㅇㅇ.

As you can see from the post on the gallery, I just appointed village chiefs because they asked for it, but…
…there’s always one or two people who sneak in just to mess with others.
From the victim’s perspective, it’s so infuriating that even the word “rage” doesn’t do it justice.
But that’s all in the past now.
After two rounds of failures, both bases now have decent village chiefs in place.
So, worrying about being harassed by weirdos isn’t something I need to do anymore.
But there’s actually a more important issue.
Just as I was about to rush into hiring the Base Mercenary Group after solving the village chief problem…
…a *ding* sound effect played, and a new event—no, an update message—popped up in front of me.
The problem was, the content of that message seemed to be targeting me in multiple ways, which made me suspicious.

<Global Announcement!>
<Base-Related System Change Update!>
<Dear Commanders, are you enjoying the game?>
<We’d like to address the issue of earning additional resources through base docking.>
<Recently, some Commanders have been requesting either excessively large amounts of resources or, conversely, too few resources through base docking permissions, leading to various problems and inquiries.>
<As of now, when docking at a base owned by a Clan or user, the rental fee will be processed through a separate system!>
<When docking at a base, the owner of the base can receive a fixed amount of resources from the docking party every week.>
<The amount of resources you can receive depends on the base’s level.>
<The maximum amount of resources you can receive per week when docking at a base cannot exceed 1,000.>

“What the hell?!”
“What’s wrong? Oh… I see.”
Now, as for Tanhoizer…
It’s already been 4 days since I ate.
In the meantime, the number of docked users has increased by nearly a thousand, and now I was about to be happy because over 60 million minerals were coming in every week.
But no way, as soon as the update came, the resources started to normalize.
I could vividly feel what it’s like to have your head smashed by the management.
And since that was an ‘update notice’, of course, other users also saw the message.
As a result.

Damn, how do you release an update like this the day after I sent the resources?
Ughhhhh
Comments:
– [Where the hell is this guy docking to pay that much?]
– [Welcome, sucker]
– [This guy just has a lot of resources]
– [He’s a sucker gay;;;]

Well, there are also posts whining about whether they can get back the resources they already paid.
But more than that, my recent triangle zone, which has been rolled as a hot topic, was bound to become the hottest issue.

Saving the residents is definitely Ipyung LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Comments:
– [Wow, he saved it]
– [Even though it went from 3,300 to 1,000 in a week, at least he saved the residents from wasting resources]
– [LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL]
– [The timing is just perfect]
– [LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL]
– [Kyaaaa Jumoooooo!]
– [So pitiful, by now he should be thinking ‘Should I start gathering resources?’]
– [No way, straight to ‘resource normalization’]

It’s not like I intended to do anything.
Unlike other users with bases, I delayed receiving resource transfers from users residing in Tanhoizer for about a week.
Suddenly, my reputation in the gallery skyrocketed, and the world is really full of mysteries.
But regardless of that, as the resource supply suddenly plummeted…
“Jessica, Jessica.”
“Yes, Commander, you mean the resource supply status calculation?”
I quietly called Jessica, who was next to me, and Jessica, who was looking at the gallery window with me, said.
“It’s a rough calculation, but even if we take the maximum… the supply rate is lower than the resources we used to receive with the current number of people.”
“How much?”
“Previously, we got about 3.3 million minerals from the bases of Commanders docked at Avalon and Barracuda, right?”
“Ah, right.”
I nodded, remembering that.
Jessica then threw a shocking statement at me.
“About two-thirds of the resources we used to receive?”
“…The number of people doubled, but the resources we receive decreased?”
“Yep, and that’s just for minerals. If you include rare resources and gold, it’s even less.”
“….”
And after hearing that, I finally understood why users who get hit by the management’s hammer scream in despair.
I felt an indescribable curse rising from within.
‘Ahhh, now I understand, unlimited resource supply.’
