Chapter 349

Chapter 349: Times Past

There shouldn’t be anyone here, thought Lolan Hill, turning around to look at her surroundings. She used her abilities to carefully observe everything, afraid that someone might suddenly appear while she was reciting, which would be quite embarrassing.

Suppressing her awkwardness and shyness, she prepared herself and tried to speak.

[I put on makeup, my eyelashes extended, dark and light eyeshadow applied, my eyes are the most beautiful gems, attracting admiration. I wear a light, short skirt, white stockings just above the knee, making me the most beautiful girl.]

[The world exists because of me, so beautiful and graceful. I am the one everyone admires and loves. Please call out my name loudly, the sweetest princess in the world, Lagertis Ailinfield~]

After Lolan Hill finished reciting, she immediately felt dizzy, and her diary opened up, releasing countless colorful bubbles and light points, enveloping her and the world.

It was not clear how long had passed before Lolan Hill slowly regained consciousness.

When she woke up, she found herself lying on a soft bed in a room. Her original diary and bubbles had all disappeared. After getting up, she felt completely different. She walked to the dressing table and looked closely into the mirror, seeing a petite and cute girl whom she had never seen before.

This girl had thin pink hair that gradually turned into wisteria color at the tips. Her large eyes were framed by long eyelashes, and her eyes were surrounded by light silver eyeshadow. She wore a blue and white princess dress, and white and blue stockings. She looked very cute, around 14 years old.

Could this be what I look like now? How did I end up like this? She wondered, but before she could think further, there was a knock on the door downstairs.

“Lagertis, are you awake yet? I’m coming in~” said a young woman’s voice.

Lolan Hill sitting at the dressing table was surprised. When did someone appear in this world? Wait, have I become Lagertis?

She stood up and took a few steps around the room, trying to adjust. Just then, footsteps were heard on the stairs, and a girl in a crimson dress appeared in front of her.

“Lagertis, stop looking in the mirror and come downstairs with me,” said the slender girl in the red dress, pulling Lolan Hill along.

“What’s wrong, Corysis?” she asked, puzzled. Although she didn’t recognize this girl, she instinctively called out her name.

“Lagertis, did you forget again? Eating too much sugar every day can make you stupid,” Corysis turned and looked at Lolan Hill with a foolish expression before continuing.

“I told you to write in your diary regularly. This way, you won’t forget things. We witches live for a long time and don’t have a good sense of time. It’s important to remember significant moments.”

“Hmm,” Lolan Hill responded absentmindedly, still wondering if this girl was also a witch. She tried using her system to observe her, but there was no response.

After stepping out of the house, Corysis led Lolan Hill down the familiar path. The candy trees seemed even more abundant and lush than before, and they didn’t see any of the poison frogs.

“Let’s jump in together,” Corysis said as they approached a fragrant water pool. Before Lolan Hill could hesitate, she was pulled into the water.

Once again, they spun dizzily and found themselves in front of a castle on a hillside. The castle was built entirely of pure white rock, very beautiful and elegant.

As they stepped out of the water, attendants approached to lead them to an ornate carriage. They climbed into the carriage and headed towards the castle.

Inside the carriage, Lolan Hill observed the scenery outside. The decoration style resembled that of the elves, with intricate carvings of flowers and vines adorning the corridors and stone bricks.

Attendants and maids moved back and forth, all of them Extraordinary Beings of the Demon Sequence, young and beautiful.

“We’re here.” The carriage stopped, and Corysis led Lolan Hill into a sunny courtyard filled with white flowers. In the center was a fountain, and several small round tables were set up nearby. Several women, each strikingly beautiful, sat around the tables, chatting or sipping tea quietly.

“Selen, we’re here~” Corysis waved to one of the women dressed in a purple dress.

This woman wore a golden crescent moon ornament on her chest, and her light purple dress hugged her body. She was sitting at a round table, chatting with a woman in a red dress.

“Did you bring Lagertis too? Excellent, Corysis,” Selen smiled and stood up, pulling both of them aside to introduce them.

“This is Lady Atadis, the witch of the Fertile Fruit. Bow to her.”

Lolan Hill and Corysis bowed respectfully. Then, Lolan Hill looked up at the witch in the red dress. She had emerald green hair and a flourishing grape trellis behind her, laden with clusters of green grapes.

“Hello, two lovely little ones. Our witch family has gained two new members,” she said, accepting their bows and clapping her hands to have the attendants bring two plates, each containing a golden apple.

“Eat these fruits. They will help you grow faster,” she said affectionately.

Corysis happily ate the fruit, but Lolan Hill held hers in her hand instead of eating it directly.

“Why aren’t you eating, Lagertis?” Selen asked anxiously, more worried about offending Lady Atadis.

“It’s okay, maybe she’s not hungry right now. But keep it hidden well; some people might covet it,” the witch of the Fertile Fruit gently waved her hand, reassuring Selen.

“My apologies, perhaps Lagertis is still young and shy,” Selen relaxed and pulled Lolan Hill into another bow.

Then, Corysis and Lolan Hill walked away, turning towards a crowded area. There were about sixteen or seventeen guests in the courtyard, all beautiful women, with the rest being maids and attendants.

“Why didn’t you eat earlier, Lagertis? That wasn’t very polite. Lady Atadis is currently the true ruler behind the scenes of the Crimson Empire. You shouldn’t offend her casually.”

Lolan Hill blinked in surprise. The Crimson Empire, wasn’t it long gone? Had she traveled back in time, or was this just Lagertis’ memory illusion?

She began to converse with the girl beside her, slowly gathering information about the era and situation.

“Lagertis, why are you acting strange today? Did you forget what power I have?” Corysis asked in surprise.

“I’m the witch of Thorn Poison, Corysis. Now you know, you’re the witch of Sweet Candy, Lagertis.”

“Together, we are the ‘Sweet Poison’ faction from the Southern Region.”

“You’ve forgotten about the Southern Faction too? It’s led by Sister Selen. Because our origins are far from the territory of the Crimson Empire, we had to band together.”

“In addition to you and me, Sister Selen, there’s Trinasha, who is the witch of Time Butterfly.”

“She isn’t here today. She went to a distant place to pick up a new witch. They say that child is very powerful. After awakening, she brought back to life those buried in the ground.”

“Haha, it’s not that scary. You only feel that way because you haven’t been on the battlefield. I’m actually quite formidable. The enemies I poison could circle the World Tree.”

“Oh, you don’t remember the others in the hall? Alright, let me reintroduce you. That one is the sleeping witch, that one is the witch of Silver Iron, that one is the lake witch. Your home pond was made by her. You shouldn’t forget that, right?”

“And there’s the white cat witch, the lock witch, the harmonizing witch, and Lady Fibi of the Sea.”

Corysis introduced Lolan Hill to these names that occasionally appeared in history and records.
