Chapter 332

Chapter 332: The Maiden of the Sea

Fortress Academy, Black Swan Castle.

“Stay still, Ye Ling~” Lily hugged Ye Ling like a large doll, holding her close to prevent her from moving around.

“No, let me go. I want to go to the kitchen. I want to make my favorite raspberry cake. Don’t Alena, the things she makes aren’t pretty at all.”

Ye Ling shook her pigtails, struggling, and Lily found it harder to hold her down. After all, she was a child of the Dragon Sequence, and now Ye Ling was like a small dinosaur.

Bumansa walked out of the bustling kitchen, holding the prepared cookies.

“All right, all right, stop fighting. Come on, Ye Ling, eat this.” She took a cookie and stuffed it into the little one’s mouth.

“Do you think cookies can buy me off?” came the sound of chewing.

“At least bring a few more dishes.” The voice became smaller.

Ye Ling ate the delicious cookies angrily, still feeling somewhat aggrieved. Why could Alena enter the kitchen and make cakes with Lolan, while she could only sit outside?

Today was the gathering day for the ‘Black Water Lily’ club and former roommates. Not only did all eight people from two dormitories come, but Lolan also invited Kavla to avoid her feeling lonely in the central school building.

In the spacious kitchen, Lolan, Alena, and Letis were busy preparing dinner. Considering everyone’s tastes, they decided to make some sweet pastries and light dishes.

“This looks good, should we add some?” Alena had a white cake mold in front of her and held red chili sauce, eager to try.

“It seems this color goes well.”

“Please don’t,” Lolan Hill raised her hands in a cross to refuse.

“Exactly, no wonder Ye Ling doesn’t trust you.”

Letis, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, also opposed, saying so. It couldn’t be denied that this blonde spiral ponytail young lady looked quite different in this outfit.

“Oh, fine, then let’s use blackberries to decorate instead.” Alena reluctantly put down the red chili oil.

In the activity room, Nia and Kavla chatted by the window, while Lily and Ye Ling rolled on the floor nearby. Bumansa prepared to hold them down, and Keti and Vimya sat face-to-face at a small table, looking at each other.

“Hello, I’m Keti, Lolan’s roommate.” The red-haired girl greeted warmly, her crimson eyes curiously looking at the other.

“Hello, I’m Vimya.” The blue-haired girl nodded back, but her legs under the table tightened slightly due to nervousness, avoiding eye contact.

Vimya had never felt such feelings before. The girl opposite seemed like her nemesis, causing her inexplicable fear and dread.

“Have we met before?” Keti tilted her head, looking at Vimya.

“I don’t think so.” Vimya whispered to herself. This feeling of fear was new to her. Was this girl even scarier than Lady Fibi?

“In that case, you give me a familiar and warm feeling, just like Lolan and Chris do.” Keti nodded, confirming her feeling.

“I don’t know. Is Chris referring to that lady?” Vimya asked softly.

“Chris is Chris, she loves wearing pink and white dresses and enjoys looking in the mirror.” Keti spoke without the usual wariness, freely talking to Vimya.

“If that’s the case, then it might be her.” Vimya hesitated. Isn’t this kind of thing supposed to be kept secret? How can we talk about it in public?

“Can Vimya be Keti’s friend?” The fire witch girl issued a straightforward invitation.

“Well, not impossible.” Vimya pressed her finger to her lips, hesitantly responding. They had only known each other for less than a minute.

“Good, from now on, Vimya will be Keti’s friend.” Keti happily extended her hand to shake, but when their hands touched, a strange pain shot through both.

“Ouch, it hurts.” Keti quickly withdrew her hand. This was the first time she felt pain after being reborn, though not severe, it was still rare.

“Maybe we shouldn’t shake hands.” Vimya looked at Keti, feeling something odd had happened. She instinctively wanted to avoid direct contact again.

“Okay.” Keti lowered her head, a bit disappointed.

Lolan Hill carried a plate of sliced fruit from the kitchen and approached Keti and Vimya’s table.

“What’s wrong?” She noticed Keti talking about Chris freely in the kitchen and hurried over, fearing she might slip up.

“Lolan, my finger hurts.” Keti stretched out her hand, though she seemed to be acting cute.

“Let me see.” Lolan Hill placed the plate on the table and examined Keti’s condition. The fire witch mustn’t get into trouble; otherwise, it would be worse than a nuclear explosion.

The young girl briefly changed her sequence to an angelic sequence, using the calm and stable angelic magic power to carefully check, but found nothing unusual. Keti’s active magic power was still terrifyingly orderly, even if she didn’t resist, it gave a burning sensation, akin to a concept-level extraordinary flame.

“It’s about the same as before.” Lolan Hill released Keti’s hand and comforted her, then turned to face the girl sitting across, Vimya.

“How are you feeling, Vimya?” She was more worried about this girl, both being Sequence 4, and easily getting hurt by Keti.

“I’m fine.” Vimya nodded, seeing Lolan Hill’s concern, and offered her wrist for inspection.

Lolan Hill extended her consciousness once again to this familiar yet unfamiliar friend, a feeling distinct from Keti’s.

It was as if standing in front of her wasn’t a girl, but the vast sea, even hearing the sound of waves. The azure oceanic sequence magic power, though not powerful, was already hinting at concepts and powers.

This… Lolan Hill blinked, surprised, realizing something.

Vimya raised her finger, glanced around, signaling not to speak. Lolan Hill nodded, and Keti watched the two playing charades.

“Lolan, the pot is almost ready. What next? I don’t know.” Letis’s voice came from the kitchen in time.

“Alright, I’ll be right there.” She stood up, nodded at Vimya, and entered the kitchen. The activity room returned to its previous noisy state.
