Chapter 330. The ‘Real’ Event. (2)
From the start, the plan was a mess, and it’s true that we suffered quite a bit of damage in many ways.
But still, I didn’t give up and stubbornly pushed through the event.
After all, it’s natural for anyone to make mistakes at first.
As a result, I immediately proceeded to the third and fourth rounds.

‘Ah, this is it.’
As I went on, I was able to reduce damage while appropriately increasing kills and assists.
But it seems Jessica couldn’t understand why I was so diligently grinding through the event with low-tier ships.
“By the way, Commander, we lost three Cruiser Battleships and a whole wave of small ships in just a mini-event.”
“Hmm, is that so?”
“Do we really need to grind through ships like this? The efficiency of our resource fleet has dropped by nearly half because of this event.”
“Ah.”
Using the efficiency of the resource fleet as an excuse, she started complaining to me.
Of course, from the perspective of managing our base’s resources, it was understandable for her to say such things.
I nodded at Jessica’s reaction and was about to explain why I was grinding through the fleet for the event…
‘…Why do I always end up being the explainer?’
I almost turned into a speed demon, so I shook my head internally.
As always, I decided to show her the wiki tab or other necessary info posts instead of explaining.

Title: Characteristics of This Event for Newbies.txt

Since it’s not mentioned in the notice, I’ll write it here.
Round 5 is not 1:1:1 but 2:1 combat.
You’ll be fighting against an enhanced NPC fleet.
How are they enhanced?
The fleet will have about 2.5 times more ships than yours and the opponent’s combined, and the flagship will be a super-large ship that players can’t normally deploy.
And not just any ships, but ones that only appear in gacha.
But the composition of that fleet is completely random lol.
Sometimes they’ll just bring battleships or carriers.
Or maybe a Dreadnought or even larger super-large ships that no player has ever obtained.
Or suddenly, special ships like shield ships, warp ships, or extermination ships might pop up.
Anyway, what does this mean?
You and your ally player will team up to crush the enemy fleet, and then it’s a game of wits to see who can snatch the flagship.

-[This event is always a blast at the end]
-[“Now, kill each other.”]

-[Wait, seriously? That was a thing?]
-[So, can we deploy battleships or higher in Round 5?]

Title: Wait, Can You Actually Steal Ships in This Event?
Author: ㅇㅇ
Content: [Screenshot of a post saying you can steal NPC ships]
Wait, for real?
I didn’t know that.
Even if there was a ship I liked, I had to hold back my tears and sink it, not knowing any better, huh?
—
Comments:
– [Didn’t the notice say you can’t hijack ships?]
– [Then it’s fine, right?]
– [Ah, f*ck]
– [LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL]
– [But since you can only take one superhuman with you, stealing ships is kinda hard, y’know]
—
“Tada.”
“Ah-ha.”
That’s right.
You can always build more generic-grade ships anyway.
So, just throw them away and somehow push through the rounds, right?
Then, when you reach the final 5th round, if you capture the NPC’s flagship, wouldn’t that count as a happy ending?
—
“Do you finally understand my grand plan now, Jessica?”
“Impressive, but wouldn’t it be better to just say these things upfront instead of hiding them?”
“Then it wouldn’t be a surprise.”
“…”
—
Anyway, after some casual chit-chat like that,
I decided to reorganize the event fleet to replace the ships I lost during the continuous battles.
And well, the result?
—
<Event Fleet Composition Status>
<Aetheric Submarine: 1 ship = 50 points>
<Cruiser Battleship: 3 ships = 90 points>
<Heavy Cruiser: 2 ships = 20 points>
<Light Cruiser: 1 ship = 6 points>
<Destroyer: 5 ships = 15 points>
<Patrol Ship: 19 ships = 19 points>
<Total Points: 200>
—
“Icarus, why do you need my fleet?”
“All our small ships were wiped out, so I’m just borrowing yours for a bit.”
—
After the intense battles up to Round 4, my small ships were completely depleted.
So, I borrowed Princess Luka’s personal fleet—well, more like her hobby fleet—and managed to scrape together 200 points to participate in the event.
—
“For something like this, it seems like your fleet makes up more than half of mine.”
“The Nerañzara-class and Cruiser Battleships are mine, right?”
“But the rest seems like my fleet.”
“If you worry about the small stuff, you’ll lose.”
—
Of course, during this process, negotiations with Princess Luka almost went sideways, and I nearly faced a huge setback due to a lack of fleet points…
But after some intense back-and-forth and additional negotiations…
—
“If we come back this time, I’ll increase the fleet construction support funds by 2.5 times.”
“Ooooh!”
—
I promised to increase the support funds for the Monster Fleet construction to 2,500 minerals and 1,000 rare resources.
With that, our cute little Princess Luka nodded vigorously in agreement.
—
But even after all that negotiation…
When it came time to actually take command of the fleet, my hands were shaking like crazy.
—
“Uh, Icarus, you’re not planning to destroy all my precious babies, are you?”
—
Seeing her show such deep affection for what are essentially disposable ships,
I imagined the gruesome fate of the Monster Fleet in this battle and decided not to tell her the harsh truth, as it would likely ruin the hard-won negotiation.
—
“…I’ll do my best to keep them alive.”
“Huek.”
—
I turned my head to look at the distant mountains, promising only to “try” my best to keep them alive.
Of course, Princess Luka’s expression became very, very complicated after my response.
