I returned to the room, laughing like a villain. In my hand was the cat food I had asked the boss for last time. Nabi was stuck in the large cat food bag. Starlight Food had been debating which cat to feature as the main design.
So I just told them to go with Nabi. As a result, this design for the cat food bag was completed. I tore open the bag. A savory aroma wafted out. I couldn’t help but stare blankly at the fascinating sight. Come to think of it, I remember the boss saying it was made from the beef of the cows we raise on our farm.

I called Nabi.

“Meow!”
Nabi immediately came to my call. Nabi was a smart cat. She took care of her own bathroom needs and did everything I asked very well. It seemed like she understood human speech. Or maybe it was my ability. I had experienced animals following me well a few times when I visited the zoo.
“Let’s eat some delicious food, Nabi! I made this just for you.”
The estimated cost of the food was probably in the billions. Of course, Starlight Food could now afford to laugh off such an amount. In the past, it would have been nearly my entire fortune, but now I had been making money in the trillions for a long time. The company had amassed an enormous amount of funds. And with crops that were practically free to produce, the profit margin was incredible.
Starlight Food’s profit margin was as high as that of a semiconductor company with over 70% profit. There was no need for fertilizers or other supplies. Just plant the seeds in the ground and let them grow on their own. That’s why the production cost was extremely low compared to regular crops.

I started filling the food bowl with cat food. Nabi began pacing anxiously around the bowl. If the smell alone was this enticing, I wondered how Nabi would react when she actually ate it. I poured just enough food for Nabi. But I didn’t give it to her right away. Training was necessary to make her a well-behaved cat that listens to her owner.
“Nabi, bang bang!”
I made a gun shape with my fingers and shot at Nabi. Nabi understood perfectly. As soon as I said “bang bang,” she immediately exposed her belly and fell over. I laughed brightly at Nabi’s antics. Indeed, Nabi was different from ordinary cats. Despite not having spent much time together, she really listened to me.
“Spin around! Play dead! Jump!”
She performed various commands. But Nabi’s gaze was completely focused on the food bowl. I decided to tease her a bit more. I placed the food bowl in front of her and said,
“Nabi, you’ve worked hard, so let’s eat!”

As soon as I finished speaking, Nabi buried her face in the bowl. I worried she might bump her head, but Nabi seemed to have some sense left and ate at a reasonable distance. I recorded the scene. I needed to document Nabi’s growth, which was changing day by day. Today’s Nabi would never come back.
Nabi was still a kitten, growing rapidly. In a few weeks, she would probably reach full adult size. The growth rate was astonishingly fast. If she grew any bigger, she might turn into a “pig-cat,” but I hoped she wouldn’t get that big. Anyway, Nabi wouldn’t grow that large because I would manage it!
So, I watched Nabi enjoy her meal. There was something I had to do after she finished eating. Not long after, Nabi successfully emptied the bowl. I patted my thigh and said,
“Nabi, come here!”
“Meow!”
Nabi climbed onto my thigh and then flipped over, exposing her belly. I gently rubbed Nabi’s soft belly. Normally, cats would hiss or dislike having their bellies touched, but Nabi was different. She even exposed her belly as if asking for more.
Indeed, Nabi was a very good cat. Bringing her home was a great decision. If I had left her alone, who knows what might have happened to her on the streets.

After Hana went to school, Nabi’s gaze changed. The obedient, well-behaved cat was gone. All that remained was a common troublemaker cat.
Nabi opened the door and entered the office. The door was the type that opened by pushing the handle down, so Nabi could easily open it. Once inside, Nabi began to survey the territory.

Nabi knocked off anything on the desk that didn’t please her. Tumblers fell to the ground, making heavy thuds. Thankfully, nothing glass-like broke. Nabi freely roamed around the office like this. Until Bora arrived.

Bora came into the office after lunch. She couldn’t help but be shocked at the mess. The employees’ tumblers were scattered on the floor. Bora quietly looked around. The culprit was nearby. Actually, there was no need to even guess who it was. Only one being could have done this.
Swish swish—
With a calm face, as if nothing had happened, Nabi was grooming herself on the office desk. Just by looking at Nabi’s expression, you’d think she was an innocent citizen cosplaying as a goody-two-shoes.
“Na… Bi… ya!”
Bora slowly approached Nabi. Nabi smirked at Bora. Nabi wasn’t scared of Bora at all.
“!!!”
Bora realized it. From the moment Hana brought Nabi home, she was destined to become Nabi’s servant. Nabi was Hana’s only pet, after all.
Nabi seemed to know this fact. It was the moment the office hierarchy flipped.

While shopping, Kim Yeon-yu noticed something. Cat food. As someone who owns a cat, Yeon-yu always checked the pet food aisle. Checking if new cat food had arrived was part of her daily routine.
“Starlight Food, huh?”
As a devoted fan of Starlight Food, Yeon-yu picked up one bag. She had already tried all of Starlight Food’s products, she was that passionate.
But the price was a bit steep. Compared to other brands, it was almost three times more expensive. Of course, it wasn’t unaffordable. One bag would last almost a month. Yeon-yu put a bag into her cart. It was made with delicious beef, so it would be a gift for her cat Cherry at home.
After buying the food and returning home, Yeon-yu was greeted by her cat Cherry as soon as she opened the door. Cherry was such a dog-like cat that she would expose her belly at the entrance to welcome her owner. Most cats don’t even care when their owners come home, they say.
“Cherry, you must be really hungry, right? Your unnie bought you a special food today!”
Yeon-yu cleared away the old food and opened the Starlight Food cat food she bought today. As soon as she opened the package, a savory aroma filled the room. It smelled so good that even she, a human, wanted to try it. Of course, she had no intention of eating it.
But Cherry’s reaction was strange. Just from opening the package, Cherry was already jumping around, demanding food from Yeon-yu. She wasn’t usually this food-crazy.
Yeon-yu poured the food into the bowl. As soon as Cherry got the food, she started eating at an alarming speed. As if it were laced with drugs.
“What ingredients did they put in this to make her love it so much?”
Yeon-yu was a bit curious. She had never seen Cherry eat like this before. How delicious could it be? Yeon-yu picked up a piece of the food with her hand and tasted it.
“Yuck!”
It was definitely food meant for cats. It didn’t suit her at all.
