After discussing Airael, her gaze shifted to Arthur.

After sending Shadow to search for Airael among the Elves, Arthur temporarily set his heart on managing his territory.

Though his territory wasn’t large, there was still quite a lot to handle.

Of course, this was mainly because he had recently become a lord and hadn’t yet familiarized himself with everything.

He would also inquire about matters in the army, but many were entrusted to Cain to handle.

Thus, Arthur remained busy until Shadow returned.

Arthur and Shadow had agreed to meet here again.

“Shadow, did you find any news about Ailia?”

As soon as he walked in, Arthur eagerly asked Shadow.

Over these days, he had temporarily set aside his longing for Airael, placing his hopes solely in Shadow.

“Master, your subordinate has fulfilled the mission and found news about Miss Ailia.”

Shadow replied.

Hearing this, Arthur was overjoyed and immediately questioned, “Did you see her?”

Shadow responded again, “Yes, I did.”

Arthur: “Where is she now?”

Shadow: “Miss Ailia is currently within the Elven Race.”

“Shadow, thank you so much.”

At this moment, Arthur’s joy knew no bounds.

Seeing Arthur like this, Shadow hesitated to break the news but still spoke, “Master, although I found Miss Ailia and met her, during our conversation, Miss Ailia expressed that she doesn’t want to meet right now.”

Arthur’s spirits dropped instantly: “Why? What is she doing now?”

Shadow explained, “Miss Ailia is actually not Miss Ailia!”

“Shadow, what are you saying? What do you mean by Ailia is not Ailia?”

“That’s exactly it. Miss Ailia is actually someone impersonating her; no, she shouldn’t be referred to as a person.”

“Shadow, what exactly are you trying to say?”

Arthur felt increasingly perplexed.

It sounded like he was saying Ailia wasn’t human.

Arthur nodded, waiting for Shadow to give him the full explanation.

“The story starts when you first met Miss Ailia. At that time, you encountered her in Bruz City, where she had just arrived from the Elven Race.”

At this point, Shadow paused and looked at Arthur.

Arthur nodded, acknowledging he understood this part.

“Miss Ailia, who is from the Elven Race, is actually not human; she is disguised as an elf, and Ailia is merely the alias she uses for traversing the continent.”

Seeing Shadow look again, Arthur nodded once more: “Shadow, I understand what you mean now. You mean to say Ailia is not human but an elf, correct?”

“Exactly, and she’s not just any elf.”

Arthur looked at him, waiting for the further explanation.

“Miss Ailia is actually Queen Airael of the Elven Race, with Celia and Aurora as her close attendants.”

Arthur was stunned for a moment, then looked at Shadow in astonishment, asking, “Shadow, what did you just say?”

“Miss Ailia is actually Queen Airael; her return to the Elven Race is to fulfill her responsibilities as the Elven Queen.”

Arthur fell into shock.

He never imagined that Ailia, whom he cherished, had such an identity.

Seeing Arthur’s expression, Shadow could relate.

He too was astonished when he realized it.

Not to mention, this person in front of him was an intimate partner.

Hadn’t they been together all this time without him noticing?

After a while, Arthur finally collected himself, breaking the silence with, “I understand now, Shadow.”

At that moment, he appeared quite composed.

Because he had begun to grasp certain things.

Whatever Ailia’s identity was, if he didn’t work hard to improve his strength, then he wouldn’t even be able to think about doing anything for Ailia.

Seeing Arthur like this, Shadow was surprised yet continued, “Master, there’s something else I must tell you. When I left, Miss Ailia—no, Queen Airael—asked me to tell you that if you wish to meet her, then work hard to improve your strength and then take her away from the Elven Race.”

“I will make it happen.” In response, Arthur calmly replied.

“Besides that, there’s another thing. According to the information I gathered, Queen Airael gave birth to a daughter after returning.”
